In Pokemon Black and White, the seventh gym is the Icirrus City Gym. The Gym Leader is Brycen, a specialist of Ice-type Pokemon. When you arrive in Icirrus City, you’ll see and talk to Cedric Juniper. He’ll tell you a story about the Dragonspiral Tower. After that, you can immediately challenge the gym. This gym is full of Black Belts and Battle Girls.

When you enter the gym, talk to Clyde to receive a free Fresh Water. Walk straight and you’ll be spun to a green-blue square. Go left and then up to be challenged by Black Belt Grant. Continue going up and you’ll see this red square. Step on that, and the middle will rotate.

Go left and you’ll be spun to yet another green-blue square. Go right and you’ll be challenged by Battle Girl Miriam. Go right again and walk up the stairs, and walk on the ice to the next area of the gym. Continue right to be challenged by Black Belt Kendrew.

Go right, then up, then right again, then up again, and walk to the right once more to be challenged by Battle Girl Mikiko. Go down, then right, then down again, but don’t step on the ice. Go left and you’ll be spun to yet another green-blue square. Go up and press the red square and the thing in the middle will rotate. Go up, then left.

From Battle Girl Mikiko, the space to the left of her is where you should be (the one with the funny looking end on it.) Go down from there and you’ll be spun to another green-blue square. Walk up the stairs and slide on the ice to the final area of the gym.

Go left and you’ll be challenged by Battle Girl Chandra. Continue left and slide on the ice to the little space with the funny looking end on it. Go up to be spun to a green-blue square. Go right, then up, then right again and you’ll be spun to yet another green-blue square.

Go up, then right, then up and slide on the ice to another little space to be challenged by Black Belt Thomas. Go up one more space (don’t step on the ice) then go right and step on the red square to make the thing in the middle rotate.

Go right and slide to the little space with the funny looking end. Go down and you’ll be spun to a green-blue square. Go left, then down, then left again to be spun to another green-square. From there, go up and walk up the steps. You’ll then be able to challenge Brycen.

Brycen has a lv37 Vanillish, a lv37 Cryogonal, and a lv39 Beartic. Fire-type, Fighting-type, and Rock-type Pokemon will make this gym very easy. His Vanillish has Acid Armor, Frost Breath, Mirror Shot, and Astonish as its moveset. His Cryogonal has Reflect, Rapid Spin, Aurora Beam, and Frost Breath. His pride and joy, Beartic, has Swagger, Brine, Slash, and Icicle Crash. The one move you need to watch out for is Frost Breath, which always results in a critical hit when it hits.

Defeat him, and you’ll receive the Freeze Badge, and TM79, which is Frost Breath.
