With Pokemon Black/White 2 here, or maybe a few days away if you live in the UK or Australia. What better time is it to read up the Pokemon Dream Radar?

The Pokemon Dream Radar is a downloadable game for the 3DS, and if you want to get the most out of your newest quest in BW2 to “catch em’ all”, then you might want to give this title a try. The Pokemon Dream Radar is more of a tool then a game. Using the 3DS Camera, the game makes it appear that ‘dream clouds’ have entered the room you are playing in, and then tasks you with shooting them. Some of these clouds reward you with items, or even Pokemon, which you can then transfer to your Black/White 2 game.

Of course, like anything, there are some restraints to ensure you cant fly through the game too quickly meaning you will obtain lots of Pokemon. Once you clear the screen of all the dream clouds, you have to wait until new ones appear. One good thing is, you can refill the game with clouds by spending Play Coins, 5 to be exact. (Play Coins are a form of currency on the 3DS that you gain by walking around in real life).

Lucky for you guys, I’ve found a lovely article that has put together some tips for getting the most out of the Pokemon Dream Radar.

As seen in the latest hintbooks for Pokemon Black/White 2, when you play, or even think about Pokemon – there are two very important things to keep in mind.

1. “If you make your pets fight in real life, you’ll be arrested.”
2. “The police also frown on crushing pets into balls.”

Is this a response to PETA’s attempt to hate on Pokemon for animal abuse?

Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda has been doing the rounds lately, giving interviews on all aspects of Pokemon Black and White and their upcoming sequels, which will be released outside Japan next week.

In this recent interview with Gamesutra, he speaks about how communication is the core of Pokemon games and how Black and White 2 expand on this idea, with their new theme of ‘resonance’.

When you sit down to plan a new Pokémon game, what’s the first thing that you consider? What is the most important consideration?

JM: In the very beginning, we come up with a theme for the games first. For example, in Black Version and White Version, we had the theme of two opposite extremes — black and white. And when developing Black 2 and White 2, Mr. Unno was the director, and he came to me asking about what we should do for the theme, and he suggested the theme of resonance.

And when you decide a theme, it becomes a lot easier to really figure out what the direction of the game is going to be; it becomes a lot easier to start designing from that, beginning of deciding what the theme will be.

The Global Link has just returned from a major maintenance period in which the site was readied for the English release of Pokemon Black and White 2.

The Dream World has been updated and now allows you to visit the homes of those registered to your Pal Pad! The updates to the Dream World are as follows:

• Invite your Game Pals to become Dream Pals! Click “Check Game Pals” in the Check Dream Pal Map menu to visit your Game Pals’ homes
• The Player Locator on the Dream Pal Map shows players who recently visited the Pokémon DW
• You can have 30 more Dream Pals—up to 50
• You can make five Dream Pal requests at a time before having to use Game Sync
• You can now tuck in some Pokémon that were previously unavailable
• You can find a greater number of Pokémon or items on the Island of Dreams each time you use Game Sync
• You can have more rows in your garden
• You have more chances to water other players’ gardens

The Global Link also has a pretty cool new Reports page, where you can view statistics from the Global Battle Union, Wi-Fi competitions and the Global Trade Station, like which Pokemon have been traded the most and which Pokemon are more popular in which countries around the world!

Did you know that the top traded Pokemon in Australia is Zorua, that there are 333,449 members of the GTS in the United States or that most people who put a Bulbasaur on the GTS want a Charmander? You do now!

The Porygon Global Link event has also been extended until tomorrow. This is your last chance to download Porygon to your game, get a Porygon2 Pokedoll for your Dream World home and receive a Porygon-Z C-Gear Skin. Visit the Promotions page for more information. The passwords you need can be found by clicking here.
