Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Legendary Pokemon
You are able to capture
every single 386 Pokemon (of course, that includes every single legendary as
well). To capture the legendary Pokemon, certain requirements must be met and
requires some luck. You can attempt to recruit the legendary Pokemon to your
rescue team as many times as you want.
Requirements
Leader Pokemon: The
leader Pokemon is required to deal the finishing blow.
Friend Area: You must
have the Friend Area the Pokemon belongs to. Some legendary Pokemon will
automatically add the Friend Area upon recruiting it.
Size: One of the
requirements is that you have you have enough room on your current team to fit
the new recruit. Each Pokemon has a size: 1 star, 2 star, 3 star, and 4 star.
You can have up to four Pokemon on your team, and up to six stars. So make
sure the legendary Pokemon can fit into your team.
Other Requirements:
Other requirements may include that you complete the story mode (after the
credits roll), and meet it the second time (some legendary Pokemon are not
recruitable until the second time you face it).
Increasing Your
Chances
Leader Pokemon Level:
The higher the leader's Pokemon level, the higher the chances you'll have to
recruit Pokemon. Every Pokemon has a certain percentage it can be recruited
at. If you're at a high level, you get a bonus percent:
Level 1- 29 = 0.0%
Level 30- 39 = 5.0%
Level 40- 49 = 7.5%
Level 50- 59 = 10.0%
Level 60- 69 = 12.5%
Level 70- 79 = 15.0%
Level 80- 89 = 17.5%
Level 90-100 = 24.0%
Friend Bow: The item
Friend Bow can increase your chances of recruiting a Pokemon by 10%. Friend
Bow is at Mt. Faraway, on the 30th floor in a locked door (need the key item
to open it).
