Use Thunder Wave to paralyze it or Charge if he made a substitute or protected himself, make it rain with Rain Dance, then use Thunder. If he made clones with the use of Double Team use Shock Wave instead of Thunder.

Ok, Scyther: Set up a Substitute! Then, while he dancing to bring out the rain I want you to use Light Screen from the safety of your Substitute. This will ensure that his attacks won't hurt you much! Then sharpen your blades with a Swords Dance!

#1 (these numbers are for personal reference, to know when I can claim a catch or evolve)

The two trainers, Medz and iReign, took their positions on the grassy battlefield. Residing in the clear, cloudless skies was the sun; its rays reflected off of the nearby lake, causing the optical illusion of a rainbow to appear on the surface. The odd cry of a Pokémon could be heard every now and then, commonly Budew, Roselia or Roserade. A few even gathered to the sideline, intrigued by the humans' presence in the calm area.

Medz flipped a coin to decide who would send first - iReign called 'Tails', and it landed as Heads. Wasting no time, iReign threw one of the many red-and-white Pokéballs he owned - out of it came a Scyther, a Bug and Flying dual type. Medz followed suit, but from his Pokéball came an Electric type; Electrike. Scyther looked down its nose at the opposing Pokémon; obviously, she thought there was no competition. Electrike barked, waiting for his owner to command him to do something so he could show that pompous Scyther just exactly what it was capable of.

Round One

Scyther starts moving the second the last instruction leaves her owner's lips - she sets to work on the first command, to build a Substitute. As if out of nowhere, a doll that looked like a miniature Kangaskhan appears and Scyther crouched behind it, safe from harm. Bewildered, but still focused, Electrike avoids using the Thunder Wave he was originally ordered to do, as the Substitute would negate the effect of it; instead, he starts building up some of the electrical charge that it has stored inside himself, and with this extra power, Electrike looks like he'll be able to do more damage to Scyther than he would have beforehand.

Safe behind the Substitute, Scyther closes her eyes, focusing on and envisualising a slightly transparent, pink coloured screen; briefly jumping in front of the Substitute, she draws a rectangle in the air with one of her scythes, transferring some of her energy into the barrier. Once it is finished and visible, Scyther immediately takes its position behind the protective doll again. Electrike, however, is looking at the sky, building up energy; all of a sudden, he opens his mouth wide and a blue ball shoots out. Within seconds, the clear skies are filled with dozens of grey rain clouds, all ready to unleash a storm, which they do so. Most of the Pokémon watching head to take shelter nearby, but the trainers can only stay in the open and watch, getting drenched in the process.

As Scyther's final action, she starts brushing her scythes against one another. As she does this, she starts jumping about (her Substiute moving along with her to protect her), as if swords are being brushed underneath her, ready to slice off part of her body with one false move. This seems to make her more determined to do some damage to Electrike, and with a cheeky grin, she stops dancing; her scythes seem much more sharp now. Electrike notices that the move wasn't Double Team, and thus that there are no clones, so he obeys his owner's order - a Thunder attack. With the storm present, lightning is a certainty, so Electrike thinks over and over about attacking the Substitute. Suddenly, a lightning bolt crashes down onto the doll, engulfing it in bright, yellow light. The sparks are visible on the Substitute, but it holds, as firm as ever, however, the Light Screen seems weak.

Round Two

Temporarily leaving the protection of its Substitute, Scyther begins to execute its first command of the round. Scyther walks slyly up to Electrike, playfully batting her eyelids, making herself seem less of a threat. Electrike starts relaxing its muscles, convinced by the display. Scyther continues on, however, and starts circling the Electric-type, before slowly walking back to her Substitute - Electrike, no longer looking into Scyther's eyes, sense an opportunity to unleash his Thunder Wave. As Scyther is walking back, he starts gaining static charge from the storm above. He waits, harnessing the power; electricity started crackling around its body, before shooting into the air and bearing down upon the unexpecting Scyther. Suddenly, they changed direction. Electrike was shocked, before realising that the Substitute was still standing, and it had absorbed the Thunder Wave.

Furious at the mistake, Electrike keeps barking its name as a threat to Scyther, who eventually gets annoyed and wants to shut it up. Swiftly, she turns around, the tips of her scythes starting to glow a dark shade of green and getting brighter by the second. She starts running at Electrike, not slipping at all on the wet ground, and slashes her scythes in the shape of an 'X'. The energy is realeased and zooms towards Electrike, before colliding with it head-on. The Electric-type is thrown back by the awesome power, not expecting that the Swords Dance would make it that powerful. Still enraged, Electrike regains its composure and collects more electricity from the storm, before unleashing it in a semi-powerful beam. Scyther jumps back to the safety of the Substitute just as the Charge Beam hits. The attack barely looks like it did anything, but Electrike looks ready to give a better attack next time, and the Light Screen looks close to fading.

Scyther again prepares an X-Scissor, her scythes glowing brightly again. She quickly jumps above the Substitute, slashes her scythers, then falls back behind her protective doll. Electrike tries to run backwards and evade it, knowing the damage he'll take, but fails and slumps to the floor. Slowly getting up, he turns his head and fires a Charge Beam without really taking aim - a mistake. The beam races past the Substitute, nowhere near hitting.

Next, I want you to use Protect if your sub breaks, or Sunny Day, if it doesn't. The Sunny Day will lower Thunder's accuracy, so, then I want you to use another Swords Dance.

Round Three

Scyther is starting to pant and is moving less, trying to conserve as much energy as she can, so when her owner calls for her to use Double Team, she isn't best pleased. She closes her eyes and focuses; she starts shaking, dividing her energy into four separate parts: one for her, one for three different clones. One by one, the clones appear, until Electrike is bewildered by the fact that he now sees four different Scythers and a Substitute; could this battle get any weirder? He decides to aim for a random one and hope for the best, and blasts out another Charge Beam only to have the target disintergrate on touch. However, the Light Screen protecting the four Scythers also does the same - its protection is there no more. All of the Scythers simultaneously grin, not letting on which of them was real. Electrike frowns, angered at the cheap trick.

Howver, once the next command had been issued by Scyther's owner, only one Scyther does anything - the real one. It holds its blades so that the tips are just inches apart, and a red orb of energy begins to form. It slowly grows bigger, and once it is of sufficient size, Scyther throws it into the air. Immediately, the clouds disappear, and a beaming sun replaces them. The sudden change in the weather makes the temperature rise significantly, both of the trainers feeling quite uncomfortable. Electrike then uses his knowledge of which Scyther had attacked, and with a smile on his face, starts gathering the little electricity it has for another Charge Beam - however, all of the Scythers start to run around, switching places. Electrike, taken by surprise, releases the Charge Beam too soon, and it veers off, narrowly missing a nearby Roselia. Now Electrike doesn't know which Scyther was which again...

Proud at getting the upper hand, all four Scythers start to mimic the dance that the real Scyther did at the start of the match, although half-heartedly, seeing as it's they're trying to conserve as much energy as possible; all sharpen their blades too. They all seem to be sharp to the point of being deadly if hit with them. Electrike shrinks back a little, before remembering that it isn't over yet. Due to the weather change, he's nervous about trying to summon a Thunder, especially since the heat is making him slip out of focus every now and then. He still tries, though, trying to make at least one cloud appear... and it does! Happy that luck is on his side, he watches as the Thunder crashes down on one of the Scythers... yet it demateralises, just like before. Now there are only two Scythers, yet with the attack power they have, Electrike isn't liking the odds... then again, they both seem to be getting quite tired.

Notes:

Electrike: -3% Energy from Charge Beam, -3% Energy from Charge Beam, -5% Energy from Thunder
Scyther: -6% Energy from Double Team (3 clones), -4% Energy from Sunny Day, -3% Energy from Swords Dance
Charge Beam: Rolled 56, 1-90 would hit. Rolled 36, 1-25 would hit the real Scyther. Rolled 72, 1-70 would make the SP.ATK rise.
Charge Beam: Rolled 93, 1-90 would hit.
Thunder: Rolled 22, 1-50 would hit. Rolled 68, 1-33 would hit the real Scyther.
Thunder had decreased accuracy in the Sun.
The Substitute didn't protect the clones. In my weird mind, I imagined it just waiting at the side, not giving away who the real Scyther is, and any attacks aimed at Scyther redirecting to the Substitute... yeah. xD
Light Screen DID protect the clones, but broke due to the damage intake.

Round Four

Once again, the two remaining Scyther start to sharpen their already sharp blades; Electrike knows that it'll certainly do more than sting to get hit by one of those, and is thankful when his owner commands him to use Substitute. He visualises a doll identical to the one Scyther has, and this one also pops out of nowhere. Electrike huddles behind it, fearing the scythes that look set to tear him apart. The Scyther give a menacing grin, giving their blades a final sharpen.

The real Scyther takes a run-up on the Substitute, the tips of her scythes glowing purple once more, and she slashes them down in the 'X' shape Electrike is fearing. The purple cross rams into the Substitute at full force, almost knocking it over. Electrike jumps back to avoid being flattened, then dashes forward as close to Scyther as his own nerves will let him, before his body starts to glow white, illuminating the area. Everyone covers their eyes, but the two Scyther keep seeing the blinding light, no matter which way they turn, and coupled with the radiant sun, it is brighter than usual... suddenly, though, the Substitute flies in the way of the two, giving them shade from the harsh light, and allowing them to regain composure. Electrike barks its name in anger, having been outsmarted once more.

He sets straight into his next move, safe behind the Substitute, focusing his Energy like Scyther did before, and splicing it into two clones of himself. Scyther seizes the golden oppurtunity, and sends another X-Scissor in Electrike's direction, and the power is finally too much for the Substitute; it drops to the floor, fading, but it gave Electrike enough time to make the clones, and hide amongst them, so now Scyther doesn't know which one's which.

Round Five

The real Scyther races straight into its first order; Razor Wind. It continually slashes its scythes, sending powerful and visible gusts of air at the three Electrike. All but one vanish instantly; that one stumbles backwards, a bit taken aback by the blow, but pleased by the fact that since he had clones up, the attack's power was divided between them, and he didn't take as full of a blow as he would've without the clones. However, since his clones are gone, he set about making new ones, yet again forming them out of his own energy, but still only being quick enough to make two.

Scyther hears Electrike's next order to use Flamethrower, and is then ordered to lessen its power by using Rain Dance; she does so, once more holding the tips of her scythes together, and watching as another orb forms, slightly illuminating her face. This one is blue, and sloshes around like water, before being hurled into the air. Storm clouds swirl in the air, identical to the ones Electrike had summonded earlier, and it starts pouring down with rain once more. The few spectators shelter under trees as the droplets of water fall earthbound. Electrike is angered by this change in weather, but has no choice but to abide by his owner's command. Feeling heat rise up into his mouth, he tilts his head back, before sharply tilting it forwards again and unleashing a harsh stream of fire. Hissing can be heard as the rain hits the flames, weakening them by putting some out. Scyther only feels a small blast of heat from the attack, however, and watches as her last clone disintegrates into nothing.

Now that Electrike is certain who to attack, Scyther dives back behind her Substitute, taking a moment to process her owner's command. She still has a Substitute, so... she has to use Razor Wind. She quickly jumps up into the air, hovering enough to send more blasts of air towards the Electrike trio, before falling back to the safety of her Substitute. The real Electrike watches his clones vanish before taking a hit himself. He staggered back slightly, but then proceeded to make two more clones of himself.

Notes:
Electrike: -2% HP from Razor Wind (divided it by 3 to account for the clones, then rounded up), -4% Energy from Double Team (2 clones), -5% Energy from Flamethrower -2% HP from Razor Wind, -4% Energy from Double Team (2 clones)

Flamethrower: Rolled 99, 1-50 would hit the real Scyther.
Razor Wind: Rolled 32, 1-12 would Critical Hit.
I assumed there were critical hits, because the ALC says that Critical Hits make DEF rises moot in Harden's description... I also assumed that if there are CHs, they go by the game's standard of CH.
Having never seen Razor Wind used in the anime, this description is completely based off of the Serebii AttackDex's single image for it.

Round Six

Both Pokémon ae looking tired and weary, neither one wanting to do something rash which might cost them the match. Scyther's concentration seems to be slipping, but she keeps shaking her head thoroughly, trying to stop the exhaustion from takng over, despite having physically taken no damage at all. Electrike is slightly tottering from one side to the other, trying to maintain his balance but finding it quite hard due to being so tired. They both praise the slight moment they get while their owners are shouting out commands, but once Medz has sent his final command, they both have to spring into action as enthusiastically as they can.

Scyther hears to do Razor Wind; she takes another leap over the Substitute, albeit a bit half-heartedly, and swings her scythes fast enough to make more disruptions in the air. They glide towards Electrike and his clones, hitting each of them. As Scyther falls back to safety, she starts whimpering, taking deep breaths. Electrike, although he cannot see it, picks up on Scyther's unusual breathing pattern with his natural canine senses, and grins happily at this information. He starts storing up more electrical energy, drawing a static charge from the storm, before a glowing yellow ball starts to surround him. Lightning bolts shoot out of the ball madly and in any direction; both trainers jump to avoid a few, and the grass becomes charred in places. One last powerful lightning bolt hits Scyther's Substitute, and despite Electrike being slightly weakened with special attacks, the Substitute is knocked over and starts to slowly fade, exposing the severely weakened Scyther.

Scyther, now Substitute-less, rushes straight into X-Scissor, hoping to weaken Electrike before it can get any serious damage in. She slashes her glowing scythes in an all-too-familar-to-Electrike 'X' shape, watching as the resulting purple cross slams into Electrike with such force, he flies backwards, almost hitting Medz in the process. Electrike howls in pain, having not expected the X-Scissor to be as strong as it was. He struggles to regain his footing, but manages to succeed. He and Medz both know that a few more of those will finish him, so he goes for the defensive approach; before you know it, two more Electrike are on the field, growling and ready to take any damage the Scyther will throw at them.

Scyther's eyes flick between the Electrike clones, knowing that any move could be wasted energy if it hit a clone, so she is happy when her owner commands for Razor Wind; although it's a bigger energy loss than X-Scissor, it's smaller than if she used X-Scissor on all of the clones. She slashes her scythes to cause more gusts, although slower than usual, the low energy kicking in. Every slice through the air seems to sap every ounce of energy she has left. The real Electrike sees his two clones disappear into nothing; he knows that there'll be more soon enough. He focuses for the umpteenth time, creating two more identical illusions of himself. Scyther slumps down, knowing that she isn't yet defeated, but sensing that the battle will soon be over.

Notes:
Electrike: -2% HP from Razor Wind, -4% Energy from Discharge, -13% HP from X-Scissor, -4% Energy from Double Team (2 clones), -2% HP from Razor Wind, -4% Energy from Double Team (2 clones)
Scyther: -5% Energy from Razor Wind, -4% Energy from X-Scissor, -5% Energy from Razor Wind
Razor Wind: Rolled 67, 1-12 would Critical Hit.
Razor Wind: Rolled 83, 1-12 would Critical Hit.
I recently found out that Double Team fails in Rain. However, if I'd reffed that from the start, the status of the battle could be a lot different right now. I thought it'd be a bit unfair to ref it correctly in this round, since I didn't know when the attacks were called. But, I'm going to tell you now, from this point onwards, Double Team clones will instantly disappear during Rain. Electrike's current clones will stay.

Just so you know, weather conditions generally last for five rounds max, so I believe the rain would have stopped by this point now anyway, as it was on of the first orders in this battle.

Scyther used Sunny Day at one point, then Rain Dance again. It's been going on for 2 rounds atm.

Use Toxic the first turn. If she used Protect, use Rest. If she used Substitute, Thunder. If she made a combo of 3 X-Scissors, use Protect. Next, use Rest if she hit you with X-Scissor or any attack and you used Rest the turn before this, Sleep Talk. If she didn't attack and you're still awake, continue attacking with Discharge. Use Sleep Talk if you used Rest the first turn or second. If you didn't, use Rest if she attacked you. Discharge if she didn't.

Toxic/Rest/Thunder/Protect ~ Rest/Sleep Talk/Discharge ~ Rest/Sleep Talk/Discharge

Ok, we're gonna make the most of this. Scyther, I want you to keep using Quick Attack. Finish with an X-scissor!
