Ranger Amonea
The Abandoned Power Plant

Tightening her coarse, black sweater around her thin body, Ranger Amonea grimaced. Where was this new trainer I was supposed to be taking through the Park? She wondered, bright green eyes surveying the landscape. She was leaning on the door jam of the small, stone outpost at the edge of the island. A cool breeze whipped her thick red hair around, making her shove it back behind her ears in irritation.

"Finally!" she said, a smile coming over her face. A large, slim boat was coming in from the sparkling sea that surrounded the isle. It came to a stop at a long dock, about five hundred feet from me. The ship was in working order, but had seen better days. The white paint was starting to peel, the golden letters saying "Feather Fire" were chipped in places. But it didn't matter, it worked and that was all that mattered.

A door opened on the side of the ship and a stream of trainers pored out from it. As they washed across the grounds toward me, she stepped away from the outpost, looking through a sheet of papers for a certain trainer who had done a pre-sign up...

"AH! Mr. Gray! How are you?" Amonea said, grabbing a young man's shoulder as he started into the outpost. "No need for that, lets go! The Abandoned Power Plant, you say? Alright." Towing the boy behind her, the feisty Ranger brought him over to a series of jeeps and golf carts. Picking a vivid yellow truck--one of the few the Park had--she cranked up the heat in it and started off for the Power Plant.

About twenty-five minutes later, they had reached the Plant. The trip had been without incident, except for the time Amonea stopped to drag a large tree limb off of the dirt road. The air outside, already cool since Fall had started, was freezing due to a cruel wind.

The Plant was old, a very large one story box. Old broken and cracked windows filled the place. Tinted, sun light would not get into their very well. A rusty gate surrounded the place. Nobody knew why the head Ranger allowed people to go into this place--it should be condemned--but whatever.

"Hope your Pokemon knows flash or some light attack," Amonea said cheerfully to Alex as she brought him past the gate and to a large door.

I was trying to wait patiently as the boat slowly made its way to the island, which was totally in plain sight. I was so tempted to jump off of the boat and swim the rest of the way there. Instead, I looked up into the blue sky and began counting the Pokémon that passed by. I counted twelve Wingull and seven Pelipper before I realized that the boat finally made it at the island.

“How long have we been here?” I asked, not giving the captain enough time to answer me back as I ran off the boat. I headed directly for the outpost. Before I could get there though, a ranger grabbed my shoulder and pulled me aside.

"AH! Mr. Gray! How are you?" Amonea said, "No need for that, let’s go! The Abandoned Power Plant, you say? Alright." She had a coarse, black sweater and thick red hair that seemed to match her bright green eyes.

She pulled me with her towards a series of jeeps and golf carts. She picked a vibrant yellow truck. This appeared to be a special truck since there were only a few ones there. She turned the heater on high and drove off. It was pretty hot in that car, but it didn’t bother me.

The trip to the power plant was about twenty-five minutes. During that time, I heard many Pokémon, some that I recognized and others that I did not. We only had to stop once so that Amonea could drag a large tree limb off of the dirt road. It was a bit cold outside. I was already use to the cold so it did not bother me as much. We had finally arrived as we came up to a rusty old gate.

The Power Plant was almost as I expected. It was old, which was obvious because of its name, ‘Abandoned Power Plant. Some windows were broken and tinted. I thought the place would be bigger in width and not length. It was one story, but it appeared to be a big floor.

"Hope your Pokémon knows flash or some light attack," Amonea said cheerfully as she brought me past the gate and to a large door.

“Ehh!” I smiled nervously. I had not brought flash, but I did bring someone that might be able to help. I brought out a red and white sphere and tossed it out in front of me. Shadow, my right hand man, popped out besides me. The Houndoom yawned and stretched his legs. He looked at me and Amonea and grinned at us both. He greeted the Ranger.

“Try using your flames to light this place up a bit.” I said to Shadow.

He nodded and created small flames in his mouth, making it a bit easier to see. The small flames in his mouth was the start of his Flamethrower attack. He had learned to control it and keep the flames small.

“You don’t mind it I use a repellant right?” I asked the Ranger, but I did not wait for a response and quickly placed it around my neck. I was hoping this type repellant would ward off the electric Pokémon and help me find the Pokémon I was looking for faster. I also brought out my Pokeplayer with the Porygon disk inside. I was unsure if I should play it at the moment.

OOC: Okay! Had to get re-rolls b/c of the repellent :rolleyes: but now we're good to go. Btw, you can do it in first or third person, it doesn't matter. Read the Park rules, remember to describe attacks, surroundings and all that good stuff. You're doing fine =) Like the Houndoom, btw <3

IC:

Coughing slightly, Amonea waved her hand around her sensitive nose. "Of course not," she said through gritted teeth. The smell from the repellent almost repelled her! Kinda of like a moldy flowers and fruit thing. Luckily, as she moved forward, the smell seemed to fade.

"C'mon," she told Houndoom and Axel, waving at them to follow her. Gently crossing the threshold of the old building, she stopped for a second, getting used to the gloom. But it wasn't so bad. Houndoom brought a mild amount of light to the place, the flames causing flickering shadows to appear on the dirty walls. A long, two way corridor faced them, each side extending in milky darkness.

"Right, let's go this way." The ranger pointed to the left and, without further ado, she started walking along the long, slim corridor, keeping an eye out for broken tiles. A faint whiff of dirt and a smell like someone hadn't bathed in a month reached her nose, but they were only passing odors.

Reaching the end of one corridor, she froze, placing a hand out for her trainer to stop. Something was in front of them, around the corner. Slowly, it moved out, eyes wide. A flutter of wings brought a slight breeze to Amonea as she looked the violet creature over.

"Golbat," she told Axel quietly. "Be careful. It may not want to run away."

OOC: Sorry about all that :]. First person is easier for me so I’ll stick with that, and I reread all the rules just to be sure :wink:

IC: The ranger coughed a little when I sprayed the repellant. She had her hand around her nose. "Of course not," she stated. It seemed to bother her though. She walked ahead of me a bit.

“Guess she doesn’t like repellants.” I said shrugging to Shadow. Shadow nodded his head in agreement, causing the redorange light he was giving off to bounce up and down.

I looked towards the old, peeling walls and saw some shadows scurry by us. It was of a Pichu and Minun, but they went so fast, it was almost a blur. It appeared that this repellant was working pretty well, which would help me find the three main Pokémon that I was hoping to find in this forsaken Power Plant.

From the outside, this Plant did not seem so big. It actually looked pretty small, but boy was I wrong. It was a big one story area with a vast number of halls and rooms. It was like a maze in here and it was really easy to get lost, so I had to make sure I did not accidentally get seperated from the ranger.

"C'mon," Amonea called out, motioning with her hand for Houndoom and me to follow her. This place was surprisingly cold. I knew it was going to be cold, but not this cold. I moved closer to Houndoom so that the heat of his flames could warm me up a bit.

"Right, let's go this way." The ranger pointed to the left with her hand and began walking down the long, narrow corridor. As we went down this hall, an unpleasant smell filled the air and I tried to hold my breath. It smelt like something died. I knew Muk and Grimer were in this area, so my assumption was that it was one of those two. As we walked further down, the smell faded away.

“We must have passed it already.” I said, catching my breath. The ranger was a few feet ahead of me and had reached the end of the hall. She stopped in her tracks, extending her hand for me to stop when I had caught up.

Then I saw it. Flying angrily in front of us was a Golbat. The large blue and purple bat was beating his wings fast and a small breeze could be felt. It looked pretty irritated about something.

"Golbat," Amonea said quietly in my direction. "Be careful. It may not want to run away."

Golbat was not a Pokémon in my interest at the moment, I already had Crobat.

“Perhaps we are in its territory and should back away slowly.” I suggested, hoping that we could get away.

[Dragoness]

The Golbat looked straight at the two humans, its eyes dark and empty of emotion, though its voice screeched in anger. Slowly, it fluttered forward a little bit, casting hateful looks at the pair of them. Then it froze, flinching slightly. Apparently it had noticed the Houndoom with its ball of fire. Screaming, it flew backwards against the wall, eyes roaming in between the Pokemon and the humans...

"Perhaps you are correct," Ranger Amonea spoke. Placing a hand on Shadow's warm back, she started walking backwards slowly, keeping an eye on the wild Pokemon. Tugging at Axel, she encouraged him to follow her until she was just past the entryway to the Power Plant. Golbat had vanished into the darkness.

"That was interesting," Amonea's said, a note of relief in her cool voice. "Only one way to go now," she added, in a matter of fact tone. Brushing the Gentle Houndoom's head, she began walking forward along the corridor, beckoning Axel to follow her.

She was just turning around the bend in the hallway when she stopped dead, a horrible odor reaching her nose. It was like overdone eggs sealed in a box and then left outside for several days.

"Oh my..." Amonea coughed, grubbing around in her pocket until she pulled out a tissue. Placing it over her nose, she peered into the darkness. A couple, very dim lights were attached to the ceiling, casting a weird glow on the floor.

"Oh no...I'd keep your Houndoom back if I were you." Amonea pointed. A round, purple ball was floating before them. Narrowing her eyes, Amonea could just see a white skull and crossbones on the creatures rocky stomach. It belched, emitting a horrific stench.

The Golbat looked straight at us both. His eyes seemed sort of lifeless to me. He screeched in angrily at us, and then it stopped in his tracks and flinched a little. It seemed as if he was scared of Shadow. Shrieking, it flew backwards against a wall.

"Perhaps you are correct," Ranger Amonea spoke. She placed a hand on Shadow's warm back and began walking back slowly. Her eyes never left the Golbat. Tugging at my shirt, she motioned for me to follow her. The Golbat appeared to have vanished.

"That was interesting," Amonea's said, the sound of relief could be heard in her voice. "Only one way to go now." She brushed the Shadow's head, once more motioning with her hand for me to follow.

I thought about the Golbat incident. I knew it was territorial because that is the way my Crobat is. Fang doesn’t like anyone or anything in his area when he is in it. Out of respect, I let him know when I am approaching him. I didn’t know if it was a Zubat/Golbat/Crobat issue, but it sure helped out here.

I looked around and thought I had lost the ranger. My heart stopped and I was about to begin freaking out when I saw her in the corner of my eye. I rushed over to her and stayed sort of close this time.

As we turned a corner, another unpleasant smell was in the area. This one smelt different from earlier. This one smelled much more like rotten eggs. This smell was really unbearable to me and I tried to cover my nose, but the smell just went through.

"Oh my..." Amonea coughed, pulling out a tissue. She held it over her nose as she scouted the area. My assumption was that she was looking for the source of the smell.

"Oh no...I'd keep your Houndoom back if I were you." Amonea pointed. I saw a round, purplish ball was levitating in the air. The white skulls that helped me identify it could be seen.

“Shadow, you heard no flames until I give you the okay.” I said sternly. It was important that he clearly understood that what I was talking about because the Koffing’s fumes are highly flammable and could cause a small explosion if mixed with fire.

The smell was too much for me.

“Let’s get out of here, I’m getting a headache from this smell.” I said to Amonea, rubbing the temples on the side of my head.

"I'd have him put the flames out right away!" Amonea said, a touch of nervousness in her voice. As if in response, the Koffing cackled and moved forward, releasing a burp of nastiness. Amonea choked slightly, the smell so bad it could gag a maggot.

"Go. Now." Amonea turned tail, pushing past Axel and Houndoom, beckoning them to follow her as she hurried down the hallway, stopping beside the doorway and taking deep breaths of fresh air. Looking back at Axel and Houndoom, she finally spoke.

"Well, that was interesting. What do you want to do? Ahead of us there could be that Golbat, while behind us is a very toxic Koffing. Any ideas?" The ranger had an idea or two, but she was not about to give them out. She was not very fond of helping trainers capture new Pokemon. Heck, she didn't really like any trainers, whether they were catching anything or not.

"I'd have him put the flames out right away!" Amonea said, sounding nervous.

"Right!" I agreed, looking at Shadow. "Cut them off." He closed his mouth and cut the flames off.

"Go. Now." Amonea, pushing past Houndoom and I. Amonea stopped at a doorway to catch her breath.

"Well, that was interesting. What do you want to do? Ahead of us there could be that Golbat, while behind us is a very toxic Koffing. Any ideas?" She asked.

"Well, that Golbat looked pretty scared of Shadow so we could head that way, but there is still the chance of it attacking us. I think it is time to use this Pokeplayer with this Porygon Voice Disk." I suggested, playing it. The Porygon sound echoed through the halls. "Let's see what happens now."

OOC: Why don't you add a little more detail in? Such as what the Pokeplayer looks like, what it sounds like, ect.

IC:

A sharp, mechanical howl came from the small CD player. It continued to screech, as if some poor beast was in pain. Wincing, I shoved my hand into my pocket and rummaged around until I found a pair of electric blue earplugs. Jamming them in, I resisted uttering a curse as we waited for any Porygon to come by and leaned against the wall, near the door to the outside.

It was about three minutes into the disk that I realized something. Bats don't like noise that much, not when its high. Yet here we were, playing a disk that would attract all manner of creatures.

SCREECH!

I jumped, grimacing as I smacked my head on a nail. Something was coming down the hall. Squinting, I let out a low hiss. It was another Golbat, or maybe the same one, I couldn't tell.

"Drat! Are you ready?" I asked Axel.

00C: I hope this is better. BTW I am at $2250

IC: As soon as I played the small four by four red pokeplayer, a loud ear shattering sound filled the old worn down hall. The screeching sound sounded as if a certain Pokémon was being tortured. The sound didn’t bother me too much since I was already used to my Crobat’s screech. Amonea pulled out some light blue headphones and put them in her ears.

I waited as patiently as I could, looking down the dirty peeling walls for the Pokémon who’s body contained many different shapes. The blue and purple Pokémon was nowhere to be found. I sighed and kept the Pokeplayer going at full blast.

“A Porygon is sure to come soon.” I whispered over to Shadow who was covering his ears with his grayish black paws. He nodded as if to say “I hope so!”

Three minutes passed and still nothing. No Porygon had passed by, or any Pokémon for that matter.

“I’ll be satisfied if any Pokémon comes by!” I said jokingly to Shadow, not knowing that seconds later I was going to regret that.

“SCREECH!”

I heard a loud screeching sound coming down the poorly lit hall. The screech made shriek and jump a little. I looked at Amonea, hoping that she had not noticed.

I looked down the hall to try to see what made that screeching noise, but I could not see anything. Then I saw it. Another Golbat made its appearance known to us.

"Drat! Are you ready?" Amonea asked me.

“No,” I mumbled, “I don’t want to battle it.” I closed my eyes and thought hard for a way out of this without having to actually battle the Golbat.

Nothing, nothing was coming to mind. Then after seconds of trying to come up with something, an idea popped into mind. If a light bulb was above my head at the moment, it definitely would have lit up bright. Perhaps if I confused it with Fang's Confuse Ray, Aquos could blow it away using his Razor Wind attack.

“I have a plan!” I called out to Amonea, hoping that it would work. I reached into my pocket and searched for two round objects.

“Come on out Fang and Aquos.” I shouted as I tossed the two red and white identical spheres into the air. I turned to the purple four-winged bat first.

“Okay Fang, when I give you the signal,” I began as I clapped my hands together, letting Fang know that that was the sign, use your Confuse Ray to try and confuse that Golbat. I really need you to focus on this and make sure it hits.” I said as I patted him on the head, then turning to Aquos. “You need to charge up for a Razor Wind attack as soon as Crobat hits the Golbat with the Confuse Ray. If the Golbat is confused, it may be easier to blow away and give us the opportunity we need to escape, got it?”

The brownish, blue finned water weasel nodded his head in agreement. He walked up ahead a bit, his tail area facing the incoming Golbat, and began twirling his two tails as they shone a white bright color. They kept getting faster and faster. As I moved closer, I could feel a draft around me as the water types tails spun faster and faster. The way Aquos preformed his Razor Wind was different than that of other Floatzel. Instead of his fins glowing white and shooting crescent blades of wind from his fins, he shoots them with his tails.

“Alright, you guys need to work together in order for this to work.” I whispered to them both. They both nodded simultaneously. The winds were getting stronger and stronger by the second. The Golbat was close now, so I decided to make the first move. I clapped my hands together loudly.

That was the only sound that Fang needed to hear to let him know to begin his part of the plan. The Crobat focused on the Golbat. As soon as he thought he had a lock, his eyes glowed a blinding white color and shot out of both of eyeballs. It was headed straight for the Golbat.

As soon as it was about to hit the Golbat, I gave Aquos the signal to launch his attack.

“You might want to step back a bit and get ready to make a break for it.” I yelled over the big raging wind to Amonea. Aquos’ tail was shining a really bright white color now, it was nearly blinding. He launched several hemispherical blades of wind in the Golbat’s direction. Even if the Confuse Ray did or did not work correctly, it should still be blown away and give us enough time to escape. The whole time, my red square shaped Pokeplayer was still on.

Amonea gasped. Gripping tight onto the door handle beside her, she closed her eyes against the stir up of dust and gritted her teeth. Sadly, the ranger had gotten caught in part of the breeze created by Aquos and that wind was cold!

Crobat had focused in on hos cousin, eyes blazing. As he stared him down, two rainbow colored streams of light shot out of them, twisting around themselves and striking Golbat right in the face. The enemy flinched, his eyes rolling back in his small violet skull. His mouth opened wide in a screech, his large fangs flashing in the dim light.

Aquos had followed up on Crobat, every inch of his long tail releasing a golden light. Razor Wind was an attack that usually took a while to complete, of course. But the Floatzel did not need to finish the attack, he just needed to push to other Pokemon away from him.

With a snarl, Aquos sharply flicked his tail at Crobat, sending streams of ice cold wind. Slowly the Pokemon stirred up a strong breeze, pushing against the befuddled bat. Enough of a wind grew that even the yelling of the Pokeplayer was drowned out. It tried to pump its wing back and forth, struggling against the sudden on come of air. It wasn't strong enough to harm it or send it away, but between its confused state and the pressure of the light wind, it decided it was best to flee. Turning tail, the Razor Wind helping it on, the weird little bugger tore down the left hall and to the side, leaving us.

Silence fell, the wind dyed down. Now only the sound of Fang's wings lightly flapping could be heard. "Well," the ranger spoke finally, breaking the silence. She had released the doorknob and was opening the door to let in some light. "Well, that was interesting. Oh! Look!" she pointed to their right. opposite where Golbat had fled. A small, red nose was pointing out from around the corner.

"Wanna go look at it?" Amonea asked, eying the Pokeplayer. Luckily, it had been far behind Aquos and pretty much safe against the Razor Wind. Very lucky. It was still releasing a light screeching cry.

Both attacks had successfully hit. The incredibly cold air was subsiding, though it was still cold because of the winds coming in from the cracked windows in some rooms. The winds did not seem to be strong enough to do much damage or even blow it away. I guessed that maybe because it was confused and could not see what was happening clearly, that it decided to flee to a safer area. The blue bat Pokemon turned on the nearest corner and was gone.

The room suddenly became quiet. Fang’s wings and Shadows soft breathing is all that I could hear. The ranger lifted her hand and placed it on the brown doorknob.

"Well," the ranger spoke finally, breaking the uncomfortable silence in that hall. She turned the doorknob and open the door. Some light came into the dark hall.

"Well, that was interesting. Oh! Look!" she pointed to the right, on the other side of where that Golbat had exited from. A small, red nose was pointing out from around the corner of the worn down old wall.

"Wanna go look at it?" Amonea asked, eyeing the Pokeplayer. I hesitated for a second, and then nodded.

“Let’s go check that out!” I said excitedly, hoping that my search was coming to an end.

"Don't forget to grab your Pokeplayer, I wouldn't leave it behind in this place!" Amonea told him, pointing at the small, flashy boom box. She waited a few seconds for him to get it and then started off, not looking behind her to see if he had scooped it up.

Slowly, carefully she walked along the dark corridor. The tinted windows let in very little light, but a few old bulbs were burning along the ceiling. No doubt electric Pokemon were powering them up from somewhere deep inside this dismal place. A small smile crossed her face as she realized that they had barely been down two corridors in this whole building, but there would always be time to explore...

"AH!" she cried out, stopping dead. She had rounded the corner of the hallway to be met by two blank white eyes, with tiny black pupils staring back at her.

The creature let out a mechanical noise, a mix between the word "Pory!" and a shriek. It had a metal like exterior, its body painted scarlet with electric blue tips on its rounded snout, tail and its two like triangular like feet.

At the sound of Amonea's yell, it turned tail and zipped away down the long, dingy hall. "It's escaping!" the ranger cried out, looking around for Axel. "Wanna go after it? It's not moving very fast," she added, noting how it was trying to avoid the broken tile that was the floor.

IC: "Don't forget to grab your Pokeplayer, I wouldn't leave it behind in this place!" Amonea told me as she pointed to small red music player. I nodded, wondering who that Pokémon was drew my attention away from the faint playing sound of a screeching normal Pokémon. I walked over to the red box and picked it up, making sure I turned it off and placed it in the pocket of my black pants pocket.

Amonea was moving really slowly and carefully as she walked ahead of us down the poorly lit walkway. This place was not as bright as I expected. I thought this place would be lighted bright because of all the electric Pokémon that roam around in this old, worn down Plant. There were windows in some rooms, but since it was the fall season and the sun is seen less, little light would come in through the tinted windows. To make things worse in this abandoned establishment, some of the windows were broken, letting in the winds that reminded us that winter was near.

I could not help but to wonder what mysteries this power plant held deep in depths of this place. I heard that if you were lucky enough, an extremely rare Pokémon might make its appearance known to you, even if it was just for a second. I always had my camera ready in case something like this was to happen.

"AH!"I heard Amonea cried out, stopping dead in her tracks. I heard a robotic noise coming from the other side of the wall. My heart began racing. The beautiful sound I just heard was similar to that of my Pokeplayer. It was the sound I’ve been waiting to hear since we arrived at this abandoned institution.

“HOUND!” Shadow cried, he knew how important this was to me. "It's escaping!" the ranger cried out. "Wanna go after it? It's not moving very fast,"

I walked over to Amonea, just in time to see the multi-shaped Pokémon attempting to run away. Amonea’s scream apparently scared it away, but I was not about to let it escape me. Not after all that I’ve been through just to this exact moment.

“Yes, I really want to go after it!” I exclaimed as I started to come up with a plan. “This isn’t going to be easy,” I mumbled to Shadow. Then, I remembered something that was going to help me a lot right now.

“Fang, use Mean Look/Confuse Ray combo!” I called out as Fang flew at an incredibly fast speed into the hallway we were in. He was in the corridor that the Golbat from earlier had escaped too. The large purple Pokémon flew in front of the Porygon. The four winged bat’s eyes glowed a dark purple color.

Just looking at it gave me the chills. Then Fang’s eyes let out a colorful beam that was headed straight for the Porygon. If you were to look closely, Fang’s eyes were still purple.

I hoped that the Porygon would not flee now.

Amonea's face remained motionless as the large bat swooped by her, her only reaction to it was to shift her head to the side. She didn't like bats.

The Crobat rapidly flew through the small corridor, his large wings having just an inch of air from the walls of the hallway. Focusing in on the Porygon, who had the misfortune to look back, he caught its eye, keeping it there as his eyes glowed a light violet. Slowly, the Porygon stopped running and Amonea, who had started after the two of them, stopped as well, about twenty feet from the two Pokemon.

Pory seemed a little irritated. Its tiny black eyes were narrowing as it glared down the Crobat. Then they suddenly widened as it seemed to realize what Crobat was going to do. With a scream of "Pory!" its two metal legs twisted to the sides and it threw itself to the left, just barely avoiding the column of rainbow light that Crobat expelled from its two purple eyes.

Porygon, apparently, was getting rather pissed off. With a mechanical hissing sound, its almost non-existent neck turned to Crobat. Opening its mouth, three beams of sparkling light shot out. Each was colored a blood red, green and sky blue. The columns of light cris-crossed each other, each one shining as if somebody had dumped a gallon of glitter in them.

All three struck the bat Pokemon at once with a bang. The force of the blast sent Fang into the wall with a sick thud. Amonea covered her ears as the Crobat's screeches filled the hall, wailing on and on before it finally could control itself. The young woman could see open cuts on the bat's body, drops of blood spattering its leathery wings.

OOC: You said Golbat instead of Crobat in your last post xD. Anyways, I was not sure if I can use two seperate attacks. I did not say that either of them hit, but I used them both anyways.

IC: The Porygon did not appear to happy, but then again, which Pokémon would after being attacked? I thought to myself.The Confuse Ray failed as the red and blue mechanical Pokémon jumped to the left in order to avoid the attack.

I did not want to underestimate the Porygon, but I didn’t think it was that strong. It looked so small and defenseless compared to my four-winged bat that was now flapping his wings violently.

I heard a hissing sound that came from the Porygon. It did not sound very friendly. In fact, it sounded rather spiteful. The inhospitable Pokémon opened its mouth and let out three different colored beams. The angry red, peaceful blue, and earthly green colors intertwined together to form a radiant multi-hued beam that was headed straight for Fang.

The colorful beam smacked the poison type hard, sending him flying back into the wall. The crash sounded bone crushing, and looked pretty painful. The once semi quiet room was now echoing with Fangs shrieks.

I looked in horror as I saw small cuts on Fang’s body. Blood could be seen coming out of some of them. He was flapping his wings harder than usual just to stay airborne. I walked over to Fang, I was going to call him back to send out Floatzel, but Fang shook his head.

“You can’t attack it directly without getting hit and hurt more!” I argued. Fang shook his head in disagreement.

“Croo.” He said sternly.

“Well, I suppose you’re right.” I said hesitantly. “You don’t have to attack it directly. Try putting it to sleep with your Hypnosis after you warm things up with a Heat Wave.” The bat nodded as his body began to glow a reddish orange color.

I walked back over to the ranger. “Be careful, this room is about to get a lot warmer.” I warned the ranger.

Fang unleashed a powerful wave of heat that made the room temperature go up about 20 degrees. The dark orange waves headed straight for the Porygon. The heat waves was like looking into an oven, it sure felt that way.

“Don’t forget the second part.” I called out, reminding Fang of the Hypnosis as his eyes began to glow/.

OOC: Ty for pointing that out =) And yes, it's fine to describe two attacks in one post. Good job :) I rather liked your description of the Tri Attack.

IC:

A burst of burning air, colored orange erupted from the Crobat. I shrank back a little, tugging at my sweater as I did so. It was hot! Hot with a capital "H"! Well, I reflected, at least it warmed the room up a little. Above the deep orange wall of heat, I could even see little shimmers of heat, the light bending as it passed through the hot air.

Porygon saw the oncoming attack and turned the metal wheels that were its legs, attempting to slide across the uneven flooring, but it was too slow. The blasts of warm air caught it, making the Porygon shriek, its shrill metallic sounding cry reverberating off the stone walls of the hall. As the last wave of heat came, it let out a snarl, something I was unaware of until then--Porys could growl?

Fang's eyes had started to glow a light pink, the pupils becoming little more than slits. But before he could pull of his next attack, Pory struck. As it opened its flat beak, I caught a glimpse of small, razor like teeth before a sound like rushing water filled the hallway and then...BLAM! A surge of violently pink light came from Pory's mouth, twisting itself into a rope. It flew out and wrapped around Crobat's wings, the tail end of it striking him in the face.

As the Psybeam vanished as suddenly as it had appeared, leaving the bat to cry out in pain as angry welts appeared on his violet skin, I hold my breath. Was Fang confused? No. I let the breath out as Crobat jerked his head up, his eyes glowing even brighter than before.

Silent as the grave, he stared down at Porygon and then blinked. Two rays of blindingly white light came from his eyes. Shielding my face from the onslaught of light, I realized that we wouldn't really need Houndoom out for this battle. As soon as the light stopped, I looked back up at the battle, eager to see what was going on. The Hypnosis had apparently worked. Porygon was looking very tired in deed, its shiny metal eyelids fluttering.

But it was a determined little thing, it was. Pushing itself up, thrusting its chest out as if to say "Look at me now!" It let out a mechanical cooing noise and then, its small body shaking with yawns, its very muscles struggling with the effort of moving and not falling asleep, it slammed its wheels forward and shot at the Crobat. Fang seemed a little taken aback, or maybe he just was just tired, I don't know. But either way, he did not move and as Pory reached him, it threw itself up in the air and struck the bat's left wing, leaving a small bleeding gash there.

With that last feeble attack, it sighed and fell to the floor, its eyes finally closing.

IC: The air in the room was beyond hot now. I began sweating a bit, which was unusual for me since I hardly ever sweated. I would rather have it a bit cooler because at least when it is cold you can just put on a sweater or something, but when it is hot you can’t really do anything about it.

It was like being dehydrated in the desert. You could literally see the heat waves all around the room. The Porygon tried to outrun the attack, but it was too slow. The Porygon shrieked. It sounded like two metal objects scraping together.

The room was now brighter than it was before. It did not matter to Fang because he could see in the light and the dark, though the dark is where he sees well. Fang’s eyes began glowing a light magenta color and his pupils dilated. He was about to use his attack when the machine like Pokémon opened its beak like mouth. It surprisingly had razor sharp teeth. A peaceful waterfall sound came out of its mouth as a dark pinkish purple light came out of the Porygon’s mouth. The light twisted together, forming a spiral like beam. The beam wrapped itself around Fang’s wings and smacking him in the face.

The Psybeam attack was gone as quickly as it came. Fang was in some pain now. He was bleeding worse than before. Fang did not appear confused after the Psybeam attack, which was the only good thing that was happening in this match. Then, when all seemed lost, Fang’s eyes glowed bright, then silence. Two bright white beams of light came out of his eyes. The light really blinded me and I could not tell what was happening. This really made me nervous. I did not want anything bad to happen to Fang.

As soon as the light settled and I could see again, I quickly scanned the field. I saw the Porygon was beginning to fall asleep. The determined Pokémon did not want to give in and fall asleep. It moved forward with every mechanical muscle it had. It was desperately trying to attack before it fell asleep. It launched forward and sort of slashed Fang on his left wing. With that last attack, it sighed and fell to the floor, finally closing its eyes.

I could not take it anymore. Fang was losing too much blood.

“Hurry, come over here Fang!” I whispered loudly. I did not want to wake the Porygon. The beat up bat flew slowly towards me, sort of falling into my arms. “Shyde, you’re up.” The eager flying scorpion raised its claw and saluted and flew forward.

I tore the sleeves of my shirt off and wrapped Fang’s bleeding wing up, applying as much pressure as I could to stop the bleeding.

“Use Brick Break.” I called out to the purple flying poison Pokémon. I got up and walked to the side of the so called battle field. Shyde’s tail glowed white as he flew rapidly to the sleeping Porygon. Shyde did a front flip in the air, swinging down his tail hard, aiming for the mechanical Pokémon’s head. I pulled out a Hyper Ball from my left pants pocket and tossed it at the Porygon. I timed it right. The Hyper Ball will hit the Porygon right after Shyde’s attack, whether or not his attack hit is what worried me. I stared nervously and wondered what was going to happen next.

OOC: Out of curosity, do you remember which post it was that you pulled Shyde out of his Pokeball?

IC:

I jumped back, surprised at the sudden appearence of yet another of Axel's Pokemon. "You know," I said calmly. "It's not very fair if you keep throwing out new Pokemon, making it almost a two vs. one thing, is it?"

As I was talking, Shyde had ran at the sleeping Pory, his tail glistening white. But before he could land the attack, the Hyper Ball hit. Shyde's Brick Break attack struck the rough tile floor beside the ball with a clang. The Hyper Ball touched Porygon's skin with a metallic ringing sound and opened in a flash of violet light. A minute passed as the ball struggled around before it suddenly burst open, releasing a very awake and very pissed off Pory.

Gliscor let out a yelp and vanished in a burst of white light. The Hyper Ball had flown off from Pory and struck him, returning Shyde back to his ball.

Pory let out a screech, its eyes narrowing. Opening its mouth, it released a jet of annoyingly bright pink light. It shot straight at Crobat. Letting out a yell, I started to move forward as the bat was still near Axel, but I needn't have worried. The attack his dead on, causing Fang to scream in pain, his eyes rolling upwards. The attack ended as quick as it started, giving the bat a spltting headache, his eyes revolving around as if he were confused.

OOC: Other than the last post, I don't believe that I have pulled him out yet. He is still sleeping right? Lol you said Golbat again xD! Can't wait to see what is in store for me with the rolls you rolled x}

IC:"You know," Amonea said calmly. "It's not very fair if you keep throwing out new Pokemon, making it almost a two vs. one thing, is it?"

"You are right," I sighed, "but I am not attacking with all of them at the same time. I am calling them back as I send out another Pokemon. I don't want this to be an unfair battle.

"Damn!" I mumbled as I saw the Hyper Ball hit the mechanical Pokemon before Gliscor did. Gliscor hit the old dirty tile floor that the sphereical ball was lying on. A minute passed as the ball struggled around before it suddenly burst open, releasing a alert and very angry Porygon.

Gliscor let out a yelp and was engulfed in a white light as he went back into his Pokeball.

The Porygon did not waste anytime. It let out a screech, narrowing its eyes on Fang. It opened its metal beak and released yet another ray of bright pink light. It shot straight at Fang. For a second, I thought the attack was going to hit me, but it was a direct hit on Fang. I couldn't take it anymore. Fang was already severly damaged. Three of his four wings was badly hurt. I pulled out his Pokeball.

"Get some rest buddy." I whispered as I gave him a Max Potion, hoping it would help deal with the pain he was in. Remembering what Amonea had said, I turned to Aquos, "You too need to be in your Pokeball, don't want you getting hurt." Shadow was the only Pokemon on the field other that the multishaped Pokemon, but Shadow was not going to battle the metallic menace, Shyde was. Shadow hated being inside of his Pokeball which is why he is usually out.

I tossed Shyde's Pokeball into the air, the bright white light from earlier released a flying scorpion. Shyde was one to go all out in battle. When he attacks, he doesn't think, just strikes and waits for the outcome, sometimes this worked, and sometimes it didn't. I was hoping that it would this time.

The eagar purple poison type Pokemon was ready for battle. It disliked the fact that it was knocked back into his Pokeball.

"You know what to use!" I shouted angrily. "Just knock it down a bit to the point where we can catch it." Shyde let out a high battle cry like sound and charged for the Normal machine type Pokemon. His tail was glowing an elegant whiteish green color. I readied my Hyperball and made sure that I threw it at the right time this round. The lighting in the room was still a bit bright from the heat wave from earler which made it easier to prefect my throw.

Shyde was seconds away from hitting the blue and reddish pink Pokemon with Brick Break, I took my stance and threw the Hyperball. I knew that this time the Pokeball would hit after Gliscor made his attack, if it hit that is. I was really hoping that it would. I closed my eyes and waited, listening to see if it was finally captured or if I was going to have to continue to capture this troublesome Pokemon.

What happened as Shyde attacked is quite interesting. It demonstrated the extreme reflexes this tough Pory had, not to mention the fact that throwing a ball in a semi-lit area at a rather small creature is not always good to do. Not unless you're Babe Ruth or something--hold it, wasn't he just really good at batting? Oh forget it.

Gliscor rushed forward, his poisonous tail held high. Porygon saw the oncoming attack and flipped his wheels sideways, zooming across the ground and away from the oncoming Pokemon. Sadly, the ground was still jacked up, its tiles broken and rough. Porygon hit the corner of one tile that jutted up in the air, causing the mechanical guy to spin around for a moment. Just in time to be struck by Shyde's attack.

It hit Pory's head with a screeching sound, like rough scales on metal. The Pokemon flew backwards, hitting the dirty wall of the corridor with a thud. As it did so, I could feel the wall shake a little and above Gliscor's head the dim lightbulb suddenly went out, plunging us into darkness. The only thing I could see was a little of the area in front of me, lit by Houndoom's flames.

As my eyes got used to the dark, I could just see the faint outline of Pory and Shyde. Then I gasped, blinking rapidly as a sudden light burst from Porygon. It was doing a Recover, the scratches and dents on its body vanishing.

Suddenly I heard a thunking sound and saw a small sphere fly through the air, strike the wall above Porygon and land on his head. It sucked the Pokemon up in a bright flash of violet light. Then it went dark again, but I could hear the faint rubbing sound of plastic on plastic as the ball moved back and forth.

"Ah!" I yelled, closing my eyes. Another flash of scarlet light had occurred. The faint wind beside my cheek and whooshing sound told me the ball had rebounded, missing me by inches.

Pory was out of the ball and angry. Its mouth opened and a pink glow was starting deep in its throat, directed at a large shape that I am pretty sure was Gliscor.

OOC: Can I say that Swords Dance is in effect or is that your decision? Sorry if it is :[, did not know.

Shyde swiftly moved forward, his barb tail held high above the ground. It was apparent to the Porygon that the attack was coming towards him and was going to deal some major damage. The mechanical Pokémon turned and dashed across the ground in attempt to get away from the oncoming attack. Unfortunately, due to the ground being messed up, one of the broken tiles got in the way of the Digital Pokemon, causing it to hit the corner of the tile. The multi-shaped Pokémon spun around in the wrong direction and was hit by Shyde’s attack.

The Porygon flew backwards into the old brown wall behind it. The thud was loud and it sounded as if it hurt. The vibration of the impact could be felt from where I was standing.

The light bulb above went out and the whole room went dark. I was having a bit of trouble seeing Shyde and the blue and red Pokémon in this lighting.

Then the room brightened a bit and the Porygon was visible. As my eyes got adjusted to the dark, I could just see the faint outline of Porygon and Shyde. Then I gasped, blinking rapidly as a sudden light burst from Porygon. I did not like what I was seeing. If what I thought was happening was actually happening, then this was not going good. The mechanical devil was using recover to heal its damages. I sighed as I saw the scratches and dents on its body vanishing.

The Hyperball struck the old peeling wall above the Porygon and hit the Pokémon on the head. The Pokémon was sucked in. I thought that this was going to be it, but I was sadly mistaken. The bright light flashed and the machine Pokemon came back out, then the room was dark again.

The Porygon was reading an attack aimed at Shyde.

“Shyde, use Swords Dance and use Quick Attack to gain speed while using Brick Break again, don’t let it recover.” I called out. I could not see well in this area so I could only call out attacks and hope they go through.

I could see Shyde’s claws begin to glow a white bright color, telling me that his Swords Dance was in effect or at least was trying to become in effect. Then his whole body glowed a blinding white color and it moved at an incredible fast speed towards the Porygon, his stinger raised high ready to strike with Brick Break. His speed would more than likely add power to the attack, or at least I hoped it would. I saw Shyde moving gracefully moving towards the Porygon. His emerald green eyes deadlocked on his target, I could tell he wanted to win this match and help me capture that multi-shaped computer Pokemon.

Ranger Elijah & Trainer Axel

Amonea attempted to watch the two Pokemon in the midst of battle, when a panting Ranger burst through the other end of the room.

"Hey! Amonea!" It was Ranger Elijah, a man of about twenty with bright red hair and an exhausted Jumpluff on his jacket shoulder. However, he was surprised to notice how dim it was. He yelled through the darkness, "I tried to call you, but your phone was emitting strange noises. I'd assume it's the static from the Electric Pokemon in area interfering with your signal but... Yeah. You're wanted at HQ, pronto! I was sent here to take your place."

Without another word, Amonea quickly ran out the same way in which she had entered, only giving Axel a thumb's up.

"So..." The Ranger had felt his way around the room as quickly as he could. Elijah was about to introduce himself to the trainer when he noticed the intense battle currently happening in the middle of the field. A Gliscor was currently gathering power - drawing in white light. It was just enough to brighten the area, albeit only a little. Small spikes that may have been a swords dance, floated around the flying bat.

"Did you ask for a Swords Dance? If so - that's pretty neat."

However, while Shyde was preparing himself for an attack, Porygon was readying himself for a fight to the end. The triangular feet began to glow a deep blue as it scooted around the floor in circles. Around and around it went until all you could see was a blur.

"Oh no! Agility?" Elijah moaned. He had only got here and was already afraid of jinxing his new trainer. Before he could fire another comment, the Gliscor took off towards the Porygon, racing through the dark. He was relying on pure instinct as well as some help from his massive ears. However, Porygon's newly found speed allowed him to race ahead of Shyde, giving him time to counter the Quick Attack with a Tri-Attack. Three neon beams formed a triangle near Porygon's blue beak. They raced faster and faster around, until being released with a focused blow.

Shyde tried to dodge, but the Quick Attack forced him to stay on the collision course. Lucky for him, the attack barely did anything at all. As the primary colors attempted to penetrate his armor, the Gliscor raised a mighty violet claw and smashed it down onto the Porygon's head.

The computer Pokemon flew back at an incredible force, smashing against the East wall. Unfortunately, it seems the Porygon knew something like this would happen, as it drew in small particles of light. It was using Recover. Again.

"Be careful not to KO the poor thing. Gliscor is powerful - especially with Fighting moves and a Swords Dance, you know."

IC: I was thinking of other combos I could use on the blue and reddish pink Pokémon when someone busted into the room panting.

"Hey! Amonea!" A guy in a ranger outfit shouted. He looked about twenty with bright red hair that almost looked pink to me. He had a Jumpluff on his shoulder that looked pretty worn out.

"I tried to call you, but your phone was emitting strange noises. I'd assume it's the static from the Electric Pokemon in area interfering with your signal but... Yeah. You're wanted at HQ, pronto! I was sent here to take your place."

Without responding, Amonea quickly ran out the same way in which she had entered, only giving me thumbs up. I did not know what was going on, but Amonea ran out of the room and more than likely back to the ranger base.

"So..." The new ranger began to say as he made his way around the room as quickly as he could.

“Umm… yeah!” I answered, not sure who he was, or why Amonea had to leave. I looked at him, then shook my head, turning my attention back to the battle.

Shyde was readying himself to attack the Porygon. What I failed to realize earlier was that the mechanical Pokémon was also preparing for what was coming. The bottom area began to glow a dark blue as it zoomed around the floor in circular pattern. It went faster and faster until all I could see was a blur.

"Oh no! Agility?" The ranger moaned. The Porygon's speed allowed it to race in front of Shyde, which gave it more than enough time counter Shyde’s attack with a Tri-Attack. The three different colored beams from earlier formed a triangle near Porygon's narrow blue beak.

Shyde was unable to dodge the attack, but he was going too fast to move off course from the oncoming attack. The attack, unlike earlier, seemed to do little damage. That told me that perhaps it was getting tired which could be in my favor.

The purple bat raised his large claw and brought it down onto the man-made Pokémon’s head.

The normal Pokemon flew back at an unbelievable force. The poor Pokemon smashed against the wall. I felt bad for the little guy, but that changed when I saw what it began doing. It began to recover again. A bright white light shone around the Pokémon as once again the dents and marks began to fade away.

"Be careful not to KO the poor thing. Gliscor is powerful - especially with Fighting moves and a Swords Dance, you know." The ranger reminded me.

“Right… thanks.” I said, thanking the new ranger. He was right, but the Brick Break from earlier did not do much damage earlier. However, I still had to watch out to not make the Porygon faint.

I thought about it and decided it was best to bring back Shyde and try Fang again. I reached into my pocket and brought out Shyde’s Pokeball. Looking at the sphere, I sighed and clicked the center of the Pokeball. A bright whitish beam shot out of the round ball and took in the purple and black bat like scorpion. I brought out another Pokeball and tossed it into the air.

A purple four winged back emerged from the Pokeball and screeched loudly. The bat eyed the Porygon and screeched again. Fang had the advantage since he could see well in the dark.

“Fang, use Hypnosis followed by an Air Slash.” I shouted out loud. Fang flew closer to the Porygon, his were growing and glowing a bright purple color. He did not take his gaze off the Porygon. The way it looked in the dark made it look magnificent. Then, the angry Crobat formed a white hollow looking sphere. It grew bigger and bigger. Once it was slightly smaller than the size of a Voltorb, the flying poison type launched his attack at the Porygon.

A gust of wind could be felt as it flew towards the Porygon. I couldn’t see if the Porygon was asleep or not, but I could see where it was. I grabbed one of my Hyperballs and tossed it towards the Porygon. I watched as the attack flew towards the mechanical Pokémon. Followed close behind was the Hyperball I threw. I waited patiently to see the outcome of this combo. I could only hope for the best.

Elijah knew that Axel didn't really understand why Amonea had to leave, but he couldn't provide an answer. The poor Ranger was only following orders directly from HQ, and couldn't explain them even if he wanted to.

“Right… thanks.” Axel turned away after thanking the Ranger, concentrating more on the battle than anything else.

Elijah was expecting Axel to issue another command, as his Gliscor was already pumped from the previous maneuvers. With an increased attack and a resistance to electricity, Shyde would have faired well. However, taking into caution the Ranger's words from before, the Gliscor was pulled back into his Pokeball, only to be replaced with another bat! This one had four wings instead of two, and it was a more toxic purple than the blue hue Shyde held.

"Crobat!" it called.

"“Fang, use Hypnosis followed by an Air Slash,” Axel commanded.

Fang obeyed, widening his nocturnal eyes as he began to glow a faint purple. Yet, as the bat flew closer and closer, the Porygon shivered, releasing a mass of static in a hurried Discharge. Luckily, it didn't stop Fang, who soared through the crackling electricity. The intense glare caused the computerized Pokemon to fall into a deep slumber. Just as a pair of pink eyelids closed, a rather large wing smashed onto Porygon's head.

When Axel heard that sound, he quickly fumbled for a Hyperball and launched it into the darkness. Though he wasn't sure where the ball landed, Elijah heard it smack to the ground. In a flash of red light, the sleeping Porygon was pulled into the chambers where the multicolored ball snapped shut and rolled back and forth before it finally stood still.

"I think you got it!" Elijah said hopefully, turning to spot the trainer in the dark. "But er... Maybe we should turn on some lights first? It's pretty dark in here."

Since it was really dark in the room, I did not know exactly where the Hyperball hit. I heard a metal clanking sound, then a flash of red light, the sleeping Porygon was sucked into the unknown to human realm of the Pokeball. Then ball snapped shut and rocked back and forth until it remained restless on the ground.

"I think you got it!" Elijah said hopefully, turning towards me. "But er... Maybe we should turn on some lights first? It's pretty dark in here."

“I… did?” I said in a confused manner. I was almost speechless. I felt a great sense of accomplishment. Then I snapped out of it and nodded back at the ranger. “You know what to do Shadow!” Shadow eyed the new ranger, and then nodded. It formed a small ball of flame and held it there. That gave me enough light to see the Hyberball lying motionless on the groud. I picked up the other two Hyperballs that I had thrown at the Porygon and pocketed them. I walked over to it and picked it up, a huge grin formed on my face. I walked over to Fang and patted him on the head.

“Great job buddy, thanks for all of your help!” I said gratefully to Fang as I returned it to its Pokeball. I turned and faced the ranger. “Lead the way, let’s go and see what other Pokémon we can find. By the way, what is your name? As you already know, I am Axel, and this is Shadow.” The dark type dog Pokémon gave a friendly bark while trying to maintain the flames in his mouth, so it made the bark sound a bit angry.

"Don't worry about him, he's got his mouth full." I said, continuing to grin. With my hand motioned for the ranger to lead the way, while he told us who he was to us.

Elijah watched Axel gasp in shock. It was obvious the trainer was speechless about his new capture - and who wouldn't be? Porygon is pretty impressive!

When the ball hit the floor, Axel turned to his Houndoom companion. “You know what to do Shadow!”

As the husky black dog eyed the newcomer, it simply nodded and opened its large muzzle. Between the jaws, a burst of fire rose and stayed there, as if Shadow were some sort of makeshift lantern.

"That's pretty impressive," the Ranger commented, pointing at the hell hound.

Axel was too excited about his new capture to notice, as Shadow's flame gave enough light to spot the fallen Hyperball. When Porygon was in his grasp, he turned and recalled Fang after a few words well done.

“Lead the way, let’s go and see what other Pokémon we can find. By the way, what is your name? As you already know, I am Axel, and this is Shadow.”

The dark type dog Pokémon gave a friendly bark while trying to maintain the flames in his mouth, so it made the bark sound a bit angry.

"Don't worry about him, he's got his mouth full."

The Ranger chuckled at the pun, extending his hand for a good shake. "I'm Eljiah, your new Ranger. This is Lonnie." He pointed over his shoulder the the Jumpluff, who was obviously not paying any attention what so ever. "It's my turn to lead the way, huh? Well, I havent really been here before, but let's look around a bit."

"Pluff!" Lonnie had finally joined the conversation, even though he contributed nothing of value.

"This way!" Elijah had already taken the initiative to step forth and parade down the hallway, with the others following behind. He passed through a dim hallway, spotting a room with a light on a bit farther down. As soon as he could get a look into the room, he smiled at what he saw.

In the corner, near a large metal machine, was a tattered old blanket. On it, were three lion-like Pokemon, curled up with one another. "Shinx!" One of them called with a yawn.

"It's three little Shinx," Elijah whispered to Axel. "Do you really want to fight them?"

IC: The ranger chuckled a bit. "I'm Elijah, your new Ranger.” He introduced, and then turned to his puffball looking partner. “This is Lonnie." It was not really paying attention to what was going on. "It's my turn to lead the way, huh? Well, I haven’t really been here before, but let's look around a bit."

"Pluff!" The Puffball replied.

"This way!" Elijah said, and like Amonea, he did not waste any time. We passed through a poorly lit old hallway. A room with a bit of light was seen further down the hallway. Looking into the room, I saw something that made me feel warm inside.

In the edge of the cold room, near a large useless machine, was a raggedy old blanket. On the blanket cuddled up were three lion cub like Pokémon

"Shinx!" One of the three yawned.

"It's three little Shinx," Elijah whispered to Axel. "Do you really want to fight them?"

“Nah, they look peaceful, let’s let them rest.” I quietly said to Elijah as I carefully backed out of the room, taking one last glance at the three cute baby Pokémon.

“Nah, they look peaceful, let’s let them rest,” Axel said quietly as they backed out of the room, taking one last glance at the three cute baby Pokémon.

"I agree. They don't look like they're harming anything," the Ranger agreed, following Axel's lead. Once they were in the hallway, Elijah noticed two specific routes. One led towards a large brown door, located to the right. It wasn't locked, and it looked like it could open without any hassle. However, adjacent to the door were a set of stairs. They led up to the next level, but strange sounds could be heard from above.

"It's your call," Elijah said, pulling Lonnie closer. "Upstairs or through the door?"

One led towards a large brown door, located to the right. Next to the door were a set of stairs. They led up to the next level, but strange sounds could be heard from above.

"It's your call," Elijah said, pulling his pompom closer. "Upstairs or through the door?"

I grinned, "Let's go upstairs!" I said, waiting for the ranger to reply.

Axel grinned at the Ranger, looking excited about encountering something else, he hoped, would be different that the numerous Electric types running around. "Let's go upstairs!"

"Sounds fine to me, though I'm not sure I want to know what's up there..." Just as Elijah had spoken, more odd sounds came from the next level. They sounded heavy, almost as if a wrecking ball were being dropped onto the floor repeatedly. "I'm surprised this hasn't woken the Shinx. It must be a common sound..."

"Pluff..."

"Hush, you," the Ranger glared, ushering the group up the stairs.

Step by step, they went up - into the unknown.

"HU-HA!" A large ashen hand slammed onto the adjacent table, snapping it in two.

"Whoa..."

"Cham?" The odd creature turned, revealing a pair of shocking magenta pants adorned with patches of gold. It had an oddly shaped hat on its head, which never shifted as it moved to attack the fallen table. It smashed the remains, puckering lips as it muttered its name, "Medicham!"

"Whoa, let's not mess with it." Axel turned back towards the stairs. "If the next Pokemon we find isn't one that I want, then I think I will leave, I got who I came here for anyways."

"You really don't want it?" Elijah felt a twinge of disappointment sneak up on him. Medicham was a relatively cool Pokemon, which wasn't found around the Power Plant anymore. "If you're sure."

He followed the other trainer down the stairs, who he himself, was being led by Houndoom. They returned to the spot at the bottom of the stairs, near the door they had previously encountered. The Ranger was about to suggest opening the door when a light growl came from the attached hallway.

"Pluff?"

The group turned, staring into the darkness - hoping something would come forth and reveal itself.

Soon enough, two bright eyes shone through the darkness, closely followed by a low rumble. Jolts of electricity sprang around the end of the hall, giving way to more features. Long goldenrod legs, like that of a lion, crept closer. Its head, moved up and down with each step, encased in grey fur. There was a large, cloud like substance hovering over its back, which reminded the Ranger of Muk.

"RAIKOU!" The beast Pokemon roared, continuing towards the intruders in massive strides.

"You really don't want it?" Elijah felt a twinge of disappointment sneak up on him. "If you're sure."

I was so close to entering the room from earlier, when I heard a soft growl.

"Pluff?" The rangers Jumpluff cried.

We turned to see who it was.

Soon after the soft growl, two bit bright eyes shone through the dark hallway, closely followed by another weird sound. Electricity shot around the end of the hall. When it did, I could see a bit more clearly of which Pokemon it was. Long golden, strong legs, moved closer and closer. It had beautiul grey fur and a large, cloud like thing floating on its back.

"RAIKOU!" The beast Pokemon roared, continuing towards us.

I already had my camera out so I aimed it at the Raikou and clicked the button, taking a picture of it. I waved at it, hoping it would think that we were friendly and not going to damage this place so that it would not zap us.

Axel whipped the camera up to take a picture of the beast as it closed in on the group. His long finger snapped the button on the digital camera, capturing a picture of the leaping Raikou.

"Move!" Elijah shouted, pulling the trainer along by the skin of his neck.

Raikou was closing in at a quickening pace when the Ranger suddenly thought of an idea to help them out of their current predicament.

"SHEMO!" A call echoed into the mostly empty hallways.

The electric Legendary was now running at a rapid pace, leaving only moments before he would reach the group.

In a bright purple flash, everyone's beloved Shemo appeared. The small, green Natu chirped, fluttering his multicolored wings.

"Help!" Elijah gasped, tugging gently on his Jumpluff to follow.

Shemo only blinked - giving way to another blinding light that encased the group in its entirety. With a flash, Shemo had transported everyone into another area of the Power Plant, leaving behind a rather angry Legendary.

"Thanks Shemo," the Ranger said, giving the Natu a quick pat on the head before he returned to Ranger Headquarters. "What were you thinking? That thing looked upset - and then you go take a picture?" He sighed, rubbing his temples. "Ah well. Let's just move foreword and forget about this incident, alright? Now..." Elijah surveyed the scene, spotting two doors in the current room. One was to the north, the other to the south.

"You pick - again."

"Move!" Elijah shouted, pulling me hard as I got the shot of the legendary

Raikou was closing in fast on us. Shadow to his ready position in case he had to attack the Legendary. I wasn't going to let that happen, and I had a feeling the Ranger would do something.

"If you insist," the Ranger replied. He turned to his left, facing another mechanized door. It was old, and probably hadn't been used in a few years. Nimble fingers touched the key pad, hoping for some sort of response. Nothing. "Could you help m-!"

The Ranger was about to ask the trainer for help when cracks of electricity seeped through the door. Without so much as a second thought, the doors sprang to life and opened with a groan to reveal their inhabitant. A medium sized dog stood on all four, facing the group. Almond shaped eyes scanned the other Pokemon in the vicinity. The golden spikes adorning its back sizzled while little voltes jumped from one to the other. "Jolt!" It said.

"If you insist," the Ranger replied. He turned to his left, facing another mechanized door. It looked really old, and could easily be taken down. It probably hasn't been used in a long while. The Ranger touched the keypad, trying to open the door.

"Could you help m-!" The Ranger started to say when cracks of electricity came through the door. At that moment the doors sprang opened with a low groan and revealed a small dog Pokemon. The spikes on its back gave off little volts. The room was pretty big compared to the last room we were in.

"Jolt!" It said.

I tossed Shyde's Pokeball into the air. The large flying scorpion emerged. He saluted at me and then turned to the Jolteon, letting out a loud growl. I knew Shyde would be a good choice against this Jolteon, he could take electric attacks without getting hurt much.

"Let's start off with your Swords Dance and Brick Break combo!" I shouted.

Shyde’s claws begin to glow a white bright color. His Swords Dance was about to activate. Before I could see if it activated, Shyde charged at the Jolteon his poisonus stinger raised high ready to strike with Brick Break.

I watched impatiently to see what the outcome was going to be.

Elijah watched the Jolteon tilt its head in curiosity. Its ears were a bit longer than normal, indicating it was a male of its species.

Axel paid no mind to the gender as he whipped a Pokeball and threw it into the air. It hit the ceiling with a slight scuff, pouring out red light. What emerged was Shyde, who had been spotted in the previous battle. His purple wings erupted with a cackle of, "Gliscor!"

"Let's start off with your Swords Dance and Brick Break combo!"

While the Gliscor's claws grew white from the intake of power, Jolteon noticed that he was boosting his stats, and it might not be such a bad idea to improve his. The black of his eyes were terribly menacing, producing a smoky wisp that engulfed the yellow dog. Jolteon was using Curse as a way to increase his already impressive attack and defensive... yet this allowed his speed to drop one stage. To make up for it, he'd have to use Agility and quick-SMASH!

Shyde had already swooped over and landed a hearty Brick Break on the dog's open back.

"Jolt!" The electric Pokemon yelped, quickly hurrying out of the bat's way as it began an Agility to gain an edge on the Gliscor.

OOC: It would’ve been easier which would not have been as fun xD

I noticed that the Jolteon was also raising its stats. By the looks of it, it was using Curse. A murky grayish black color covered the Electric dog Pokémon. His attack and defense were increased, as if it needed that. On the plus side however, his speed dropped a little which could benefit me if I played my cards right.

I looked around the room, there wasn’t much? A few older, outdated computers and some molded desks were lined up on the wall. A couple of machines here and there were scattered across the room. Nothing really that could get in our way.

“Shyde, try the Quick Attack to Brick Break combo!” I shouted out loud to him. Shyde once again Saluted me, and without wasting any more time, took off like a bullet towards the Jolteon. He looked like a shooting star, moving like a blur with a white trail behind him. I could not tell if Shyde’s tail was glowing for the Brick Break attack, so I watched to see what would happen.

“Shyde, try the Quick Attack to Brick Break combo!” Axel shouted, cupping his hands as if they were a megaphone.

Shyde saluted his master, and without wasting any more time - took off like a bullet towards the Jolteon. He looked like a shooting star, moving like a blur with a white trail behind him.

However, Jolteon wasn't going down without a fight. As Gliscor sped through the air, slender paws began to run at lightning speed. His four legs pumped faster and faster, sending the dog into a leap. The yellow quills on his back shimmered a glowing white as he met Shyde with his own Quick Attack. They crashed, each one sending the other flying across the room. They stared at one another intently. This was going to be a rather long battle.

Shyde was waiting on his next move. His poisonus purple tail violently thrashing back and forth. His black and violet claws snapped loudly as he clamped them together.

I didn't have much time to think of a move for Shyde to use, so I just called out the first move that came into mind.

"Shyde, use Screech, then follow it up with a Poison Jab." I shout too him, but not as loud as earlier. Shyde nodded and began flying foward. His giant purple poison barb tail began oozing this dark purple liquid and he made his way towards the Jolteon. As he did, he opened his mouth, revealing several sharp teeth as well as his two fangs, and let out an ear-piercing screeching sound. It sounded way worse than nails on a chalkboard, and ten times louder. I lifted my hands to cover my ears, Shadow did the same. Shyde was going pretty fast, though not as fast as I had wanted him too. He swung his tail swinging down hard on the Jolteon.

Abandoned Power Plant

"Shyde, use Screech, then follow it up with a Poison Jab." Axel sounded as if he were getting frustrated with the crafty Jolteon as he quickly shouted rushed orders to Gliscor.

Shyde did oblige as he flew towards the Jolteon. His dark wings shone magnificently from the Houndoom's prominent flame. However, as he closed in on the electric dog, Jolteon smiled. The large, pointed spikes on his back shivered as is small paws twitched. He began to run again, increasing his speed. This dog loved to be quick, it seemed.

However, the speed couldn't help Jolteon avoid the deafening Screech emitted from the bat. Shyde's mouth opened during his flight, releasing such a loud noise, that everyone in the room covered their ears. Jolteon halted in his run to cringe. It was then that Gliscor saw the perfect opportunity to strike - but something unexpected happened. Jolteon's claws hardened, turning the metallic color of the floor. They dug into the dilapidated tiles, cracking them at the seams. Most shattered, revealing the dirt floor below. With one more smile, Jolteon began to dig underground.

"W-What in the world?" Elijah couldn't believe his eyes - but that wasn't the most surprising thing.

From the door they had entered, waddled in petite duck? It was only two feet high and painted an unusual red color. Over its shoulder was a bag. "Delibird! Deli, Delibird!"

"Is that a..."

"Pluff," Lonnie responded.

"Delibird!" It called, looking towards Axel with large eyes.

"Jum, pluff, pluff, pluff," the grass mon translated.

"You're not going to believe this," Elijah said - looking towards the trainer. "But this here... Delibird... It wants you to capture Jolteon and make it take you to where it's been hiding Delibird things. Apparently - Jolteon's been digging underground and stealing treasures the Delibird have stored there. You're going to help, right?"

IC: The Jolteon's claws began glowing a dark greyish color, looking almost like that of a steel Pokemon. He started doing something I did not expect, he began digging a hole in the already messed up tiles on the floor.

I sighed and was about to call out another attack when another strange thing happened.

From the doorway we had come into, waddled in a bird looking Pokemon with a sack on its shoulder. It was pretty short and a dark red color.

"Delibird! Deli, Delibird!" It said.

"Is that a..." Elijah began to say.

"Pluff," his Jumpluff responded.

"Delibird!" It called, looking towards me with its large eyes.

"Jum, pluff, pluff, pluff," the grass mon translated to Elijah.

"You're not going to believe this," Elijah said - looking towards me. "But this here... Delibird... It wants you to capture Jolteon and make it take you to where it's been hiding Delibird things. Apparently - Jolteon's been digging underground and stealing treasures the Delibird have stored there. You're going to help, right?"

"Of course I help it!" I smiled, "I am planning on catching it anyways. Shyde, fly up to the ceiling above the hole and direct your Screech attack over the hole. Try and make it come out like that, but be prepared! As soon as it does, it will want to attack so hit it hard with a Brick break!"

"You may want to cover your ears again!" I said to Elijah, Jumpluff, and the Delibird. Shyde was hovering high over the hole, opening his wide jaw revealing razor sharp teeth and began to use his Screech attack, hoping to force the Jolteon out. The Screeching sound didn't hurt as much as it used too. Shyde's poisonus barb tail started glowing a bright white color, ready to strike when it saw the Jolteon.

Unfortunately, Jolteon never reappeared. There was no sign of any life down the hole.

"What? Oh come on!" Elijah shouted, stamping his left foot like a little kid. "Lonnie," he whined, "Go down the hole to find Jolteon. I want to know where it went!"

The meek Jumpluff looked uneasy about accepting the task, but did so anyways. He floated next to the hole in the ground before descending into darkness. They waited, with no results.

"Really?" The Ranger wandered over to the hole and looked down. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Axel, come check this out! It's a tunnel system!" He lowered himself down the hole, under the linoleum floor and into the underground. It looked similar to a mining cavern, without the fluorescent lights strung along the walls. Up ahead, the Ranger spotted crackling sparks in the darkness. "You coming? Because I think I see Jolteon up ahead."

I waited impatiently for the Jolteon to reemerge, but it never did.

"What? Oh come on!" Elijah shouted, stamping his foot down. "Lonnie," he whined, "Go down the hole to find Jolteon. I want to know where it went!"

The Jumpluff seemd hesitant, but when down the hole.

"Really?" The Ranger went over to the hole and looked down.

"Axel, come check this out! It's a tunnel system!" He lowered himself down the hole. "You coming? Because I think I see Jolteon up ahead."

"Yes!" I said, grabbing one of Shyde's claws as he lowered me down. I looked ahead and saw the Jolteon. "Quick, use Brick Break on it."

Shyde flew forward, his face had an angry expression on his face. His tail was ready to strike.

"Yes!" Axel said, grabbing one of Shyde's claws. The crafty bat had helped lower his trainer into the hole, only for Axel to look to and fro for the Jolteon. The only sighting was up ahead, where several small crackles of electricity were sparking in the dark. "Go use Brick Break," Axel commanded.

Shyde flew forward; his face had an angry expression on his face. His tail was poised and ready to strike.

Jolteon could hear the impatient Gliscor, his ears twitching with each rush of the other's wings.

"SCOR!" Shyde shouted, rushing forward. His poisonous tail held high, he slammed it down, attempting to hit the Jolteon. However, Jolteon was much too quick and smart for a direct attack. White light surrounded his feet as the yellow dog shot off into the darkness. He was obviously interested in something farther in the tunnel.

Shyde's tail smashed into the cave wall, causing a grimmace.

"You should know shouting out an attack won't be much good for a crafty Jolteon," Elijah muttered. "Especially in an underground! Do you want it to cave in on us? I don't want to die here, you know."

Lonnie shuddered.

"Come on, let's investigate - and while we look, work on your battle plan."

"Delibird," the ice Pokemon whined.

The Ranger led the group down the path, Houndoom lighting the way. Up ahead, there were more sparks bouncing off the cave walls. It seemed they had finally caught up to Jolteon. "Jolteon?" Elijah asked, peeking forward into the darkness.

Yet, Jolteon wouldn't turn around. It was as if it were guarding something...

OOC: What is creativeness?

IC: "You should know shouting out an attack won't be much good for a crafty Jolteon," Elijah muttered, then muttered something in a lower tone, I didn’t really hear him. I don’t really pay attention to anything that is outside of the ongoing battle, which can sometimes be a problem for me.

I noticed that Gliscor’s attack kept missing. The damn Jolteon was too fast and cunning. I had to find a way to slow that electric dog down so that I could capture it.

"Come on, let's investigate - and while we look, work on your battle plan." Elijah said. I heard him, but I wasn’t really paying attention to him. I was trying to think of something. Nothing was coming to mind. I continued walking down the underground path to find out where that troublesome spike dog went. Then an idea popped into my head, and I was about to tell Shyde when I hit my foot on a hard, metal, small machine. I wanted to yell out loud, but I took in a deep breath.

I sucked in air and was about to tell Shyde the plan… again, but I could not remember it. Instead, a better idea that might just work popped into my head. I looked around at several small machines and knew that perhaps this just might work.

“Shyde, step back and let Shadow take a crack at the Jolteon.” I grinned. Shadow looked at me and knew what I wanted him to do. We had that kind of bond together. He jumped passed me and Elijah. The Jolteon was pretty much cornered, which made it easier for my plan to work. There were several machines around the Jolteon. The fire dog lifted his ears, straightened his tail and sucked in air. He opened his mouth and revealed razor sharp teeth. In his mouth, a small, but steadily growing ball of fire began to form. Shadow then let go an extremely hot stream of fire that quickly engulfed several of the machines. The machines quickly melted, turning the once solid, hard machine was now a slivery liquid. The liquid surrounded the Jolteon.

The liquid was all over the floor, which made it pretty slippery, which I hoped that would slow the Jolteon down.

“Now use Nasty Plot and bring it to low health with a Flamethrower, if it moves, just direct your attack to wherever it goes.” I called out to Shadow. The dark dog Pokémon’s body began to glow an elegant white color, then he formed another ball of fire. He shot them at the Jolteon. The Jolteon was pretty much cornered, but if it pulled something off like Dig, I had another plan for it, but it was almost impossible for the Jolteon to dodge the attack, especially if it tried to run around with all the melted machine liquid on the ground.

It didn't seem as if Axel was listening to the Ranger drone on and on. More so, he seemed lost in his own world. Perhaps he was taking the initiative to think up a new plan. It was then that the group was closing in on the end of the tunnel. Shadow's flame lit up the surroundings, revealing there was no where else for the Jolteon to run.

The electric Pokemon turned, barring his teeth. He didn't like to be cornered, especially when he was close to his "treasure". There was only one way to escape - and he was going to do it.

Shadow growled, opening his long muzzle. The ball of flame which had kept the cavern lit expanded, causing Jolteon to flinch away from the brightness. As soon as the almond shaped eyes closed, the Houndoom saw its chance to use Nasty Plot. He glowed a mysterious white, lighting up even the two demon-like horns sprouting from his head.

However, Jolteon wasn't giving up. There wasn't going to be a chance for failure. He charged, throwing all his weight into a Quick Attack.

It was then that Shadow let forth a burst of flame, barreling through the cavern and splashing up the sides of the wall. Elijah and Lonnie stepped back from the immense heat. Alas! Jolteon had been able to perform one more astounding feat. Just as it had burrowed downwards, it seemed it could also use Dig when going up! The electric dog burst through a hole in the top of tunnel, emerging with only a slight burn on its hind legs.

"Come on," the Ranger shouted, pushing his way past Shadow and to the hole. The odd colored Jumpluff helped push his master up to reach the opening. "Oh... wow..."

They had emerged into another room in the Abandoned Power Plant. This one however, was already occupied by the three sleeping Shinx.

"Jolteon!"

"They're like his children? Is that why...?" It all made sense now! Jolteon had been stealing from the Delibird to feed the little Shinx. It was apparent that the Jolteon had made the tunnels as well, to avoid being spotted. "Hey Axel," Elijah called, "if you're planning on capturing Jolteon, make sure you have a plan to help the Shinx out later, okay?"

The Jolteon seemed kind of irate that it was trapped in a corner. We must've been close to what the Spike dog was hiding.

"Come on," the Ranger shouted, pushing his way past Shadow and to the hole. "Oh... wow..." I heard him whisper

We entered another room in the Abandoned Power Plant. This one had the three sleeping Shinx from earlier.

"Jolteon!"

I nodded my head, but I did not know how I was going to help them. I would think of something soon.

Axel nodded to Elijah's command, still lost in thought. The Ranger had to admit, he too, found it difficult to think on the spot.

"Shadow, use Ember," he called out. Shadow's ears stood up straight, parallel to his tail. He opened his strong jaw and small flames could be seen forming in his mouth. He let out a deep breath and extremely hot flames shot out, covering the linoleum floor.

"It is fast, so try to encircle with your flames!"

That was quite a brilliant strategy on Axel's part. As Shadow's Ember touched the ground, it erupted in a circle of flames. The Jolteon had been trapped!

He turned, snarling at the other dog. It did little good as the heated flames danced near his feet. Although he couldn't attack directly, the hard spikes on his back stiffened and began to turn a sickly green color. He lurched forward, sending several rounds of needles flying at Shadow.

"Watch out for that Pin Missile!"

It was too late. Several of the long needles had buried themselves into the black fur of the Houndoom. It seemed both Shadow and Jolteon were looking tired, but it was obvious Jolteon was on his last leg.

IC: The Jolteon was encircled in the flames Shadow created to entrap it. I took this at my chance to capture it. I pulled out a green and blue small ball and enlarged it, aiming at the wild Spike dog electric Pokemon. I threw the Hyperball at the Jolteon. Shadow jumped into the air at smacked the Hyperball with his tail, making it go faster towards the Jolteon.

With no where to turn, the Jolteon was left helpless. He couldn't launch another attack. He only stayed within the flaming circle, glaring at the intruders. It was then that Axel fished for an odd colored Pokeball. This one was orange and green. Axel flicked it overhead, allowing Shadow to take a crack at it. With a whoosh of his devil tail, the HyperBall whirled towards the Jolteon, hitting him on the head. It opened and pulled the electric dog inside. One. Two. Three. It stopped moving as soon as the flames began to die down.
"Nice capture," the Ranger commented, hoisting a thumb over at the fallen HyperBall. "After you gather it up, what are you going to do about the Shinx? O-" He was cut off as Delibird tugged at his leg. It smiled appreciatively before gathering a few odds and ends in the corner.

"Seems it said thank you and wandered off. Good job, though."

IC: I saw the Hyperball lying motionless on the ground. I was excited. The Pokemon I had wanted is who I caught and I even got a bonus.

"Cool!" I exclamied. I picked up the Pokeball and smiled. I took my jacket off and placed it over them. I did not know what else I could do, I couldn't take them with me, they belonged here. I pulled out some of my Pokemon food and left it there for them to eat.
