By this I mean a few things:

Voltorb Flip instead of Slots
Can't purchase coins...

I personally enjoy Voltorb flip a lot more than a luck game.
It's addicting, fun, and requires some thinking.
What I don't like is that the price of the three elemental TMs get bumped up to 10000, and you can't buy coins anymore... I'm so glad there's cloning in Emerald.

Yes it is addicting, I played it for like two hours.

Yeah, Voltorb Flip is really fun. It's a lot like Minesweeper. I personally think it's a much friendlier game than the slots and roulettes, despite not being able to buy coins anymore. It's all or nothing, which is better than trying your luck with 1-3 coins, then losing, and keeping on playing to try and get them back, only to likely lose more in the end.

It's because they're not allowed to have gambling in a children's game. Or at least that's why it would happen in Europe.

I don't mind the changes, really. The Game Corner was never a big thing for me.

I think that's just a Europe thing, isn't it? The pokemon games have always had slots, and the roulette is fairly new. There wasn't any law saying they couldn't be in the american version, was there?

Yeah, same here - the only reason I'm even bothering is Ice Beam...
