Ok,

hear me out for a second.

i started using the pokewalker today right.. and im on my second walk currently.
but my pokewalker keeps all the steps from my last walk as well.

looking on seribii, say your in like rugged road, and its 5000+ steps to catch a magby, do you have to get 5000+ steps on taht current walk, or is it just overall you need 5000+ steps?

hope that made sense :)

It means 5000+ steps for that day, until the steps reset. And the steps reset at midnight. So if you've taken 1000 steps in one walk, then swapped to another Pokemon then took another 4000 steps, you could still have a chance of finding Magby. I'm pretty sure thats right, don't kill me if it isn't.
