i've noticed this several times, and i can't figure out how this happens...

example 1: i was ev training my munchlax by making it hold an EXP share; and my meowth beat a slowpoke with payday, and the exp gets divided up, but the meowth gets 142 exp, whereas the munchlax gets 126 exp

both pokes are from trades, and the meowth is not holding any items...so, why does this happen?

example 2: my meowth beat a lv2 pidgey and a lv3 pidgey, and then i had my munchlax & pachirisu (which are also from trades) do the exact same thing; and then i had a poke that is not from a trade do it

lv2 - 25xp
lv3 - 39xp

lv2 - 22xp
lv3 - 34xp

lv2 - 22xp
lv3 - 34xp

lucario (not from a trade)
lv2 - 15xp
lv3 - 23xp

Perhaps the Meowth is traded from a different location than the other two? Pokemon from certain places tend to do that as I've noticed from my GTS obtained in-game team.

I can only tell you that when Im training & using the EXP. Share the poke doing most the work regardless of trade or not tend to get not the majority but I call it 1st dibbs.

So reading http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Experience it says that an additional 0.2 is added to the experience equation when a Pokemon was generated from a game with a different language. That seems like the only possibility since you said it's not holding any other items. So does your Meowth have a non-English name?
