I see... But the official english names are also leaked on some other sites and most of them agree with each other so I'm going to beleive them. (They also had lillipup. Koon should've stayed his name.)

Ah, so those three gym leaders' names starts with the letter C. xD But, yeah, they do have lots of similarities other than just the names. xD
I love the new english names of those cities/towns... I don't really know about Yooterii's english name, though. I think I prefer the Japanese name a little more.

It seems like you can eat the First Gym Leaders. Hmm....Tasty. Well I mean to say their names seem to be food base from what I researched.

Haha, I started doing this too but then got bored since it's so close to coming out.

If you want you can look at mine down somewhere along the page and just copy paste all the pokemon and whatever else is there.

I did what Tsujin said and copied the Pokemon, and whatever else there is. Let me know if I missed any.

There is actually a complete list of the names found on PokeJungle as they were leaked on January 13th, and every single one of them is correctomundo, after when Pokémon.com announced them. I surely don't like some of the names... because some of them really don't fit the Pokémon, such as "Samurott", which is Daikenki's English name. It even lists the other legendaries of Thundurus, Tornadus and Landorus. This list should be put on the main website, it definately is a leaked source.

The Moves, Pokemon, Gym Leaders, and Cities/Towns list have been updated. PokeJungle (http://pokejungle.net) leaked the list of Gym Leaders and the Cities/Towns. The only one missing is Karakusa Town, Meloetta and a few other Pokemon.

Half of the city names are more ridiculous than the Japanese names.

Just something I spotted that I thought you should point out. Chandelure's etymology is probably not chandelere and luminescence, but more likely chandelier and lure, as in to trick someone into coming to you. Possibly a reference to Shadow Tag?

Blame PokeJungle. They thought of it. But I'll change it anyways. And BTW, Shozuka, the city names are based off of cloud names, so that's why they seem so ridiculous.

EDIT: Updated the list. I won't tell you what I updated, but you'll figure it out soon.

I really must say that Game Freak didn't really do their best in giving names.

I agree, Dragonrage. Some of them are good, but they could've been better.

A lot of the English names I don't understand. Some of the changes actually seem to get rid of whatever dignity the Japanese counterpart created. The moves Wild Bolt and Nitro Charge had a strong feeling in their names. Wild Charge and Flame Charge don't give off that same feeling.

Also... why change Shell Blade to Razor Blade? I mean, when Mijumaru (the only Pokemon I know of that actually uses Shell Blade... -.- curse my non vast logic) uses it doesn't he use the shell on his stomach? I'm mainly thinking this through the anime. It would make hundreds, no, millions more logic points to call out Shell Blade and see the dude use his shell, then to call out Razor Blade and see him use his shell... THAT AINT NO RAZOR! THAT A SHELL! xDDDD

Also, I don't know if I like or hate how there seems to be a handful of Pokemon whose names are just actual words spelled differently.

Eh.... xD

I know that Caitlin stays the same. And I know that Shauntel is correct; as is Grimsley & Alder. I don't quite remember Marshal. Which one is that? The fighting type one? (he is fighting right? idk, oh well)
