So...was anyone else wondering why the hell there are preschoolers in the game that can not only speak complete English but also have Pokemon? I remember one preschooler's dialogue before his/her battle said they were prepping for college! I didn't even know what the hell college was when I was in preschool! Are Japanese preschoolers geniuses or something? What is this?

Yeah, I was wondering this myself. Doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.

This is a world where rats can shoot electricity and evolution happens in the blink of an eye.

So, yes, it makes complete sense.

These kids are gifted and talented.

Yes....I cry to myself every so often at night because these kids are just so much more smarter then me.

You have to start early if you want to be a Pokemon Master.

It's like the Olympics.

Yeah this completely confused me... I thought trainers had to be 10.

Plus seeing preschoolers off by themselves in Pinwheel Forest... where are their parents! haha

Gambling out in Celadon maybe? Lol, personally, I love fighting them. It made me feel like such a great person to beat the ever loving tar out of a preschoolers Pokemon. xDDDDD

They aren't prodigies, they are just insightful. They know that they need to prepare for college, no matter how far it may be.

"I kick children's butts at night. I beat them so hard."

"What!? Why would you do something like that!?"

"Cuz I want to be the master."

*GASP* "You evil bastrd!"

"I know. I have our animals fight it out, we throw them out of balls."

"Ack!"

"And then, once it faints and goes limp, I make the kid pay all his money."

"You freak!"

"And then, I leave him to sulk in his defeat at life."

"Eeeehhhhh..."

"That is what I do on Pokemon."

That's what I thought! I guess those rules don't apply anymore haha.

You have to be ten to be a Trainer and take on Pokemon Leagues, but you can own and battle Pokemon at any age.

And Japanese children aren't smarter than American children, they're just far better educated because their school systems are so unbelievably better than ours it makes me sad.

Well Unova's based on the US so I'm guessing they'd be saying something about Americans rather than Japanese. xD

Like they let their children run wild xD

In fact, what they are saying is that our preschoolers are as intelligent (if not smarter) than teens and adults. I believe it is true. My little sister, who just turned 3, is a genius. She can read, she can write her name, she can count, and she can name 25 Pokemon. (It's kinda my fault for the Pokemon thing...) But anyway, my point is, young children have brains that are still developing, and they're at their peak. So, ideally, they'd be wonderful trainers. Their brain activity is off the charts, and as they get older, their brains slowly die.

I'm pretty sure your brain doesn't stop developing til you're 21 or so xD But I do think little kids would be good trainers as far as definitely having a strong bond with their Pokemon. =) I guess the Pokemon would have to take a lot of initiative in battle though since it might be hard for them to know all the different attacks and strategies. Seems like the Pokemon would be more of a loyal caretaker xD

That's cool that your sister can name Pokemon xD If I had a little sis/bro I would train them up too haha.

I'm thinking the Pokemon the preschoolers have aren't officially theirs yet, rather they borrow them from the preschool daycare.
