oO That were a lot of stated opinions... Anywayz...

Saxophone definitaly. Sax sounds more like Jazz, and I luv Jazz. On the other hand, trumpet... =/ Sounds like salsa and and disco. And I hate those two musictypes. SAX!

Lets see, Trumpet or Saxaphone...

TRUMPET RULES!!!!

I like the way it sounds. If played correctly (like the first chair player in my schools band) It can have a real powerful effect on people. (Makes me strive to be better at playing.)

And I got one question for Evanna: When the h*ll did a trumpet sound like disco?!

Neither. Saxophones were invented to replace oboes and bassoons, one of which I play and love playing. Trumpets are too steroetypical. And most trumpets players are jerks. The only brass instruments I like are tuba and french horn.

I'm glad you said most. The trumpet players at Ruskin (including me) aren't jerks. (Although, the first chair is quite a show-off, but only when he plays.)

Trumpet. Gotta help them fellow trumpeteers with trombones (I play that) once in a while. :P

:p Well, it does in my opinion... I'm weird, so don't mind it ;x
But basicly, I hate every music type with trumpets. Can't help it, I hate it

Yes, I agree with Zero. Just because a couple are jerks doesn't mean all are. The first chair in my band is so shy I usually only get three responses: A grunt, a yea, or a head shake. He's so cool. :cool2:

Well... lemme reword it. Most trumpet players are jerks, and the instrument it self sucks. Tooooooo flashy and carries waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many melodies... -.-" They think they're better than the clarinets. boo...hiss...

And I don't see how someone whose only vocabulary is 'grunt, yeah, or head shake' is cool.

No point arguing, so don't.

For your information, the trumpet carries no solos unless the music says so, it's not the instrumet! The tuba has more solos than us anyway (anger and spite.)

(And the word "itself" has no space. Talking about other poeples vocabulary, when you need to improve your own!)

Sutiivun

No, he's so shy that he rarely talks at school. He's shy and he's pretty smart. The clarinets get more solos than us also. So just because someone's shy doesn't mean you have too make fun of them!

Well, that's your opinon Sutii. Shy people aren't cool because they don't hang around others. And she wasn't making fun of him.

Who says you have to hang around people to be cool?

Who says you have to hang around people to be cool?

True to that. YOu don't have to hang around people to be cool. Tho people won't know you're cool, it doesn't mean you aren't.

Let's put it this way, you put a cat in a box that you can't see into (but the cat can still survive in there), is the cat alive or dead? It's both. Same principle behind shy ppl. Is the person cool or not when they haven't revealed who they are to you? You don't know, so it's both.

*goes on rambling about the sound of one hand clapping*
