Gday Everybody (Yes, I'm Australian).

This is sort of a long scenario, so try to keep up:biggrin:

I got my sapphire in May 2004, and then i purchased Pokemon Colosseum in August of 2004. The very first time i hooked up my sapphire to my colosseum via gamecube, the berry program was updated.

This year in March, i started a new game on my sapphire, but i didnt play very much, only during the skool holidays.

While i was playing my sapphire, I PURPOSELY didnt pick any of my berries, because i wanted to leave them there until i had finished the poke league and was ready to do the contests.

Over the past week i started to continue where I left off. I had just beaten the Pokemon league, and then i decided to do the contests.
But when i went around looking for berries, i realised that ALL the berries had dissappeared. DISASTER!!!:ermm:

So to cut to the chase, id allready updated berry program, but for some strange reason, the berries still disappeared. I know that the time still works, because i went around to those random people who GIVE u berries, and I planted them in the ground, watered them, and they grew. So i know that its not the berry glitch coming back to haunt me......

Is there a certain amount of time you have before you have to pick them? I remember one of the girls in the flower shop near petalburg forest/rustboro city saying that the berries survive on their own. This is the direct quote from the game: "While berry plants are growing, water them with the Wailmer pail. Oh, and another thing. If you dont pick berries for a while, they'll drop off onto the ground. BUT THEY"LL SPROUT AGAIN (This is the part didnt happen). Isnt that awesome? Its like they have the will to live."

I also called up Nintendo Australia, and they told me theres nothing that they can do, and that I cant get the berries back. ARGH!!!!

So, has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know why this happened? And is there anyway of getting those berries back?? If i cant get them back, how am i supposed to do the Pokemon Contests now!?!?!

G'day fellow Aussie.

Does anyone in Australia really say G'day? Well no one I know anyway xD

I swear some berries disappeared from my Emerald Version, but then again maybe I was dreaming...

Anyway, back to the point...

Maybe you could try updating the berry program again by hooking it up to Colloseum (even though you said the timer and everything is still working). The other thing you can do is go around and talk to the people who give you berries until you get them all, or if you have another game (FR/LG/R/E) you can trade berries over from that game and plant them. Oh and you can also go catch random Pokemon that usually hold berries, but it would be a lot of work. ^^;

The other thing you can do is take it back to wherever you got it from and say that its dodgy and you want to swap it for a new one. (I suppose it depends where you got it from, though if you got it from a big department store then they should exchange it) Infact Nintendo should exchange it but they're hopeless :P.

Good luck ^_^

Actually, you don't have a Problem, well, you do and don't. You updated the berry program on you game allowing time to run normally, if it didn't you'd still have all your berries cause time would stop them from dying. You ether have to pick your berries, or water them. Well at least thats the only reason I can think of  .

I've...actually had this happen to me. ^^; I stopped playing Saphire for a short time because I was playing with Col. and the few berries I had planted in that time were all gone when I got back. There really isn't anything wrong with your game if you can still grow the berries you get...it's just that you'll have to start from scratch and use lots of hard work to make up for the loss. And if you have Col. then it's not so bad...especially since there are special berries you can only get there (that is, without cheats) via Poke Coupons. The guy in Agate gives out a free berry every so often too...so you certainly -can- recover from what looks like a fatal mistake. All you can do is train and trade to make the work go a little faster.

A girl in the game even tells you that after a while your berries will fall off and go away, then she says its almost like they have a will to live... or something of that manner, in anycase I just grow berries outside my secret base, about 12 at a time and that is it, harvest em daily and the sort. Just don't plant any if yeh aint gonna be around for a while.

That girl says that if you don't pick the berries they will drop off onto the ground and sprout again, meaning that they have the will to live, even if you don't water/look after them. They should keep growing, even if you don't play for ages.
