04-04-2011, 11:35 AM
(1) Single Battle, 2 Pokémon each.
(2) DQ: Five Days
(3) Damage Caps: None
(4) Restrictions: Maximum of three chills
(5) Arena: Unova - Desert Resort - Desert
A fierce and endless sandstorm whips around the field, blurring vision and causing damage, while the quicksand poses a threat to fast moving Pokémon.
After calculating final energy and damage values for a physical attack by a Pokémon with a speed greater than 90, roll from 1-10. If 1,2, or 3, the attack does not deal damage at all. Pokémon uses the action to get out of quicksand.
Sandstorm is always in play here, and cannot be disabled.
Attempts to invoke Sun, Rain or Hail will always fail.
(6) Ref Style: Open
I shall choose

In the shadow of Relic Castle, two trainers stood ready to do battle. Each was wrapped tightly to protect their skin from the vicious sandstorm that blew around them and both were wearing Go-Goggles to protect their vision against the flying grit. Paperfairy, who stood to my right, watched Xpedential cast out a Poké ball and reveal a small black fox. This was Dazmi the Zorua – she was prepared to battle until the very last. However, when Zorua was released, four clones were released with it these stood exactly the same way as the original – there was no way to tell the difference between them. In reply, Paperfairy tapped his foot on the ground twice; nothing happened at first but after a few seconds his faithful Garchomp rose through the desert sands. The sand shark looked down on the trickster fox he was sure to win.
[Dazmi] Zorua (M)
Condition: Ready to go
Moves: Agility ~ Foul Play
Condition: Confident that he has the advantage
Moves: Roar ~ Hone Claws
Dazmi, though intimidated by the opponent he had been matched up with, was determined that she could win with her trainer’s help and so followed her orders to the letter. She, and her clones, began to run around the sandy battlefield to make the blood pump to her muscles. This would make her much quicker after being cooped up for so long – now she was ready to fight.
Although Garchomp wanted to attack Dazmi directly his orders contradicted this. After some contemplation, he decided that his trainer knew best and so followed the instructions he had been given. He bared his teeth at the Zorua and glared, making it tremble in fear. Then he tipped his head back and let lose a gargantuan, bestial roar which seemed to shake the very foundations of the castle. The clones gave no protection to this and so Dazmi fled to the safety of her Poké ball; this meant that Xpedential would have to send in his next battler much earlier than expected. Who would he use to take down the monstrous dragon?
