View Full Version : (3m0d0ll) Tokyokit vs Eishiba -- Tokyokit wins by DQ.

Single Battle, 1 Pokémon each.
DQ: Three Days
Damage Caps: 50
Restrictions: No OHKO moves including Perish Song and Destiny Bond and really, anything like those.
Arena: Candy Dimension
A large dimension filled with...candy? There are giant Lollypops, a river of Chocolate, chocolate chip cookie stepping stones, and the land? It's IceCream! Ground-Type moves such as Dig, when used in the IceCream/Frozen Yogurt, can temporarily freeze the Pokemon using it, so be careful! The effects of Earthquake won't work, for you may get hit in the head with Lollipops, a spoon, or something weirder.

Moves: Water Pulse ~ Focus Energy/Protect
The battle began as Oshawott closed its eyes, it's body outlined in a bright blue aura. A bright blue ball of water began to form in front of Oshawott's mouth, growing larger in size by the second. Oshawott opened its eyes and launched the ball of aquatic energy at Bronzor, which swallowed the Steel type , surrounding and swirling around it until the ball exploded, causing Bronzor damage and leaving it rather dizzy.[Water Pulse; Bronzor: -10 HP | Oshawott: -7 Energy]
Bronzor, freed from the water prison, Bronzor closed its eyes and was immediately enveloped in a white aura, which quickly changed colors between white and a bright orange. The flashing sped up quickly and suddenly disappeared. Instantly, a translucent box of swirling orange and white energy surrounded Bronzor, protecting it from physical and special assaults. [Light Screen; Bronzor: -6 Energy, +Light Screen] [Reflect; Bronzor: -6 Energy, +Reflect]
Oshawott, ignoring Bronzor's defensive tactics, opted for an offensive one, closing its eyes and focusing its energy on Bronzor. The shell of Oshawott's chest was briefly outlined in red, and flashed red itself before the glow disappeared. Oshawott seemed more focused now, and ready to really do battle. [Focus Energy; Oshawott: -3 Energy, +2 Critical Levels]

Wanting to break down her opponent as quickly as possible, AoiAki decided to attack despite the Bronzor’s protective shields. He used the water which was stored in a specialised pouch behind his lungs. The water was pushed out of the creature’s body by a mixture of muscles contractions and air pressure. It arced through the air towards Ding Ding; some was reflected by the shiny dome which encircled him while the rest sailed through unstopped. The water managed to get into the mirror’s eyes, causing them to sting horribly. The shields had stopped some of the blow but the water had still done more damage than expected.
Ding Ding did not panic. He built up his defences to stop something similar from happening again – he was sure that it would. He closed his eyes, which still stung, and focused hard. His body took on a steely sheen and he began to glow silver. AoiAki watched with a slight groan; it would be even harder to hit the steel-type now. The glow began to fade but the metal retained its increased strength – it would probably need it. Meanwhile, the Bronzor watched his opponent steadily, waiting for his next move.
However, it would never come. AoiAki had been ordered to use Protect if Ding Ding used a damaging move; unfortunately, Protect had to be used before the opponent could attack so that the attack would be blocked. The Oshawott was confused – he didn’t know which attack to use and so decided to give up and play in the freezing snow instead. Several minutes passed before his opponent realised that he wasn’t going to attack and that he was in fact making a snowman.
The Bronzor did find his rival’s time-wasting rather strange but was glad of a short refrain from the constant beating so that he could prepare himself a little better for the coming rounds. He closed his eyes once again and focused while he cleared his mind of all distractions. His mind became as calm as still waters and his psychic powers as well as his defences were improved. He opened his eyes and returned to the situation at hand – he was quite sore but otherwise felt okay. His shields were still up and AoiAki would have difficulty harming him much now that his defences were better than before. However, it was still too early to decide who would win the battle.

Use Tail Whip as your first move. Then, if it uses a powerfull or super-effective move, or even a status-inflicting move, use Protect. If he uses a weaker move or a status-type move, use Scald.

The second person to post should not use wait-and-see conditionals. Paperfairy allowed it in the first round because he allowed eishiba to repost his moves which made you the first person to post. In any case, Protect can't be used in a wait-and-see conditional as it is a positive priority move.

AoiAki knew that he didn’t stand much of a chance against his opponent’s increased height and so had decided to do something about it. She channelled some of her energy into his tail and ran at the floating mirror, who was content to watch him while preparing his own attack. The Oshawott jumped at the Bronzor while spinning so that his tail hit the steel-type in the face. Ding Ding watched the water-type fall away again; some of his defensive armour had been worn away by the attack but it wasn’t enough to worry him.
By now, electrical energy was flowing around Ding Ding’s circular body reasonably freely and it was ready to attack. It drew the electricity from his body and into a ball, which hovered in front of the Bronzor menacingly. The steel-type turned aimed at AoiAki and released a single beam of the energy at him; he didn’t even know what had hit him. The attack surged through the Oshawott’s body, forcing him to his knees – it had dealt a good deal of damage and now its target was angry.
Unfortunately, he didn’t know how to respond to the attack. He was supposed to Protect himself if his opponent used a status move but he had no idea what his opponent was going to do. The water-type thought about it for a while and then decided that she wouldn’t do anything without her trainer’s orders – eventually she decided to play in the chocolate river.
Ding Ding watched this and decided that its chance to strike had come. It began to gurgle as a purple liquid began to froth in its mouth; this was a potent poison which could take down any opponent if used effectively. The Bronzor spat the venom at AoiAki – it hit him in the chest, causing him to scream for a while and scramble out of the river. He looked down at his sizzling fur as the poison worked its way into his body; the poison would enter the bloodstream and attack his organs and muscles until the pokémon could stand it no longer – even now the Oshawott was doubled over in pain. Could this be the beginning of the end?

AoiAki was eager not to disappoint his trainer again this round; he quickly detached the shell which covered his chest and charged at his opponent. The shell began to glow white as the blue otter pounded across the ice cream ground. He jumped above the freezing ground and caught hold of a dangling lollipop before pushing off the item of confectionary towards the Bronzor. The shell struck it between the eyes, causing a ringing sound which echoed eerily. The sea-otter sunk to the floor, the attack didn’t seem to have done much damage to Bronzor and had tired him out a little – he’d be okay in a moment though.
Ding Ding shrugged off the attack with ease and focused on its own move. Sunlight was filtering down through the candy floss clouds, making his task slightly easier; he used his reflective properties to shine all the light back at a sugar coated sweet. Sure enough, the glucose ignited and the whole arena was bathed in light and heat. AoiAki glared at the new light – it could make things a lot more difficult for him if he wasn’t careful.
The Oshawott, who was just about managing to not get stuck in the melting ice cream, knew that any attacks which involved water wouldn’t work too well with the sun in the way; luckily, his trainer didn’t seem to want him to use such a move. Instead he began to run over the slimy liquid that had once been ice cream. Ding Ding watched his approach – it was ready to move out of the way as soon as its opponent got close to it. Unfortunately, the sea otter had foreseen this and had already devised a plan; instead of charging straight into the Bronzor, he dropped and slid along the ground before pushing off it and ramming the steel-type. It hadn’t been expecting that.
But now it was Ding Ding’s turn to fight back. It was a strange feeling to store up the light rather than to reflect it but the mirror-like pokémon managed it, although it did use up a lot of energy. Having stored up some of its power, the Bronzor turned from the artificial sun and faced AoiAki, its eyes were glowing bright white; a beam of energy burst forward from it and struck the Oshawott, who tried his best to stop the attack with his shell. The attack was very powerful but that power came at a cost – Ding Ding was now hanging dangerously close to the ground due to fatigue. This battle seemed like it would end soon.

The heat was exhausting. Both Pokemon could feel the sun rays pounding down on them, making their heads throb. Sweat budded at the scalp of Oshawott, who decided to do the world a favor and make it rain men. He tilted his head back, removing his shell from his torso and began patting the bowl of it in a rhythmic manner. The cup seemed to release a small bubble of water that strangely balanced on the tip. Oshawott grabbed the water and tossed it into the air, firing a sure-shot Water Gun at it. The stream of hydration spiraled the sphere, entrapping it, and pushed it higher into the sky. The pressure on the ball released, forcing the globe to explode and break the Water Gun. Rain began coming down, dripping heavily onto the two Pokemon, one more happy with the Round thus far than the other.
[Rain Dance; Oshawott, -7% Energy]
Not knowing what else to do in this situation, Bronzor decided to bide his time and wait for the proper moment to strike. He relaxed, picturing a nice, DRY bed all for him. An invisible figure pulled the blankets over him and he began to dream. When he awoke, he felt completely relaxed and his sore, er, body felt up for anything.
[Chill; Bronzor, +6% Energy]
Knowing that he needed to strike fast and hard if he was going to win this, Oshawott outstretched his arms, letting the small rain-droplets patter and soak into his paws. He smirked and crouched, preparing to strike. A blue, wave-like energy began to surround him. He then pounced into the air, letting the rain spiral around him, creating a scene that resembled a tornado made of water, Oshawott being the eye. He dove for Bronzor, making sharp, serpentine-like movements. He slammed full-force into Bronzor.
[Aqua Jet; Oshawott, -7% Energy | Bronzor, -6% Health]
Bronzor knew he had to do this... This was the final stretch and every second counted. He calmed himself once more, picturing that nice, warm, peaceful bed. He breathed deeply, in and out, then opened his eyes. He felt even more energized that he had last time, and his confidence was growing.

Oshawott, feeling the effects of his quarrels, decided that it'd be best, and he'd be in the the top percentage of Oshawottz, if he had just a bit more Energy to spare... Relaxing his body and mind, he pictured a soft bed waiting for him. He gently laid himself down in it and quickly fell asleep. When he awoke, he felt much more energized – like he could take on the world.
[Chill; Oshawott, +6% Energy]
Planning ahead, and trusting it's Trainer, Bronzor began spinning on it's axis, like the earth, at a sickeningly-quick pace. Oshawott tried to follow Bronzor, who was now rotating in a circle around a large pile of flaky cotton candy, but gave up soon after, as he was much too fast in this state. The mirror-Pokemon could feel a type of exertion-related moisture dew above his eyes, even though he had no sweat glands. The cotton candy powdered up rather than crystallizing, and turned into a pile of something that resembled the texture of air. Rather than trying again, in a different area, Bronzor gave up, knowing there was nothing in the candy isle that could properly mimic sand.
[Sandstorm; Bronzor, -7% Energy | Failed – incompatible arena.]
Oshawott wasn't entirely convinced that Bronzor's attack had actually failed, so, playing on the safe side, he threw up a glass-like protective barrier with a mysterious teal tint. The wall of energy formed a perfect sphere around the otter-Pokemon, protecting him from anything that may wish to harm or disable him.
[Protect; Oshawott, -8% | Protects]
Determined and loyal to it's trainer, Bronzor closed it's eyes, purple orbs appearing around the circular bumps on it's body. A strange, crackling energy that resembled tentacles appeared, and linked the orbs together, creating something that looked like an askew flower. Opening its eyes, dyed purple by this energy, Bronzor send the purple spheres towards Oshawott's Protect-wall. The globes bounced off the shield, deflected by its energy, and were obliterated, exploding into tufts of harmless, shimmering, purple powder.
