Mudkip, use Whirlpool to trap Mudkip then use Bubblebeam!
Whirlpool ~ Bubblebeam
Two trainers stood on the sandy banks of a beautiful beach. The wave were gentle, just adding movement to the surface. The breeze was nice and cool. Seemed like the perfect day for a battle. Both trainers threw their PokeBalls into the air, releasing their chosen partners from the spheres to get this battle underway. Both sides sent out a water-type first. This would defiantly be an interesting battle to watch.
[-] Piplup (♂)
Moves: Whirlpool ~ Bubblebeam
[Ohaithere] Mudkip (♂)
Moves: AncientPower ~ Yawn
Both water Pokemon stared at one another, one resembling a penguin and the other some sort of reptile. However, the bird Pokemon went first. Piplup concentrated his energy, and then raised his wings upwards. Above his head, water started to form and swirled. After a moment it was clear that it was a whirlpool. He then moved his wings so that he pointed at the Mudkip in front of him, and the whirlpool followed the motion. It launched at the opponent, surrounding him with water. Ohaithere was tossed around before released, but the attack was still in affect. It just let up so that the opponent could make a move.
[Whirlpool: Piplup -3 energy; Ohaithere -6 HP]
After shaking off the water on his body, Ohaithere was ready to make his move. His body started to glow, and a few moments later a glowing sphere formed in front of him. With a twist of his head, he launched it at Piplup. The bird wasn't fast enough to dodge, so he was hit and knocked back a bit. It was nothing he couldn't handle. Ohaithere then felt the rare affect of the move he just used. Everything about him seemed to improve, giving him more offensive and defensive powers.
[Ancient Power: Ohaithere -13 energy, Piplup - 8 HP
Ohaithere +1 ATK, +1 DEF, +1 SPD, +1 SPATK, +1 SPDEF]
With the boost he got, Ohaithere made his next move before Piplup could recover from the AncientPower. However, he wasn't looking for an advantage of having more health. Now he was thinking a bit on strategy. He parted his jaws, and a bubble appeared. It left his mouth and floated to Piplup. With he saw the bubble, he wasn't sure what to make of it. He poked it with his wing, and it popped in his face. After a few blinks, he then felt a little drowsy and yawned. Ohaithere smiled, knowing that it was all apart of his plan.
[Yawn: Ohaithere -2 energy; Piplup asleep in two actions]
After shaking his head, Piplup was ready for his next attack. He ran towards Ohaithere, wanting to get in a little closer. It seemed to make the Mudkip think it was a physical attack, but if he could Piplup would smirk. He parted his beck and then shot out a stream of bubbles, almost perfectly lined up. The rapid fire hit Ohaithere, and again he had water on his skin. He didn't mind it, but in this case he was a little annoyed since two of his opponent's attacks left him wet.
When both were waiting on commands, Whirlpool was in affect again. The water came out of nowhere it seems, and again surrounded Ohaithere. It knocked him around once again, and disappeared after he became a little dizzy. He didn't like this. He was feeling weaker, and knew that he had taken more damage than his opponent this round of the battle. Piplup laughed, but it was soon interrupted by a yawn. The bird Pokemon was wondering why he was so tired all of a sudden, and was beginning to think it had something to deal with Ohaithere's last attack. The Mudkip smiled, knowing it wouldn't be much longer now until he can get the upper hand.
[Whirlpool: Ohaithere -6 HP, trapped for 4 more rounds
Yawn: Piplup asleep in 1 action]

[-] Piplup (M)

[Ohaithere] Mudkip (M)
Status: All stats+1, Whirlpool trapped (4 more rounds)
Ohaithere begins focusing, and steadily a small ball of water condenses above his head, spinning with a rapid churning motion. The water grows rapidly, flaring out into a spiraling cone in the air similar to what Piplup had thrown at Ohaithere earlier, and now the Mudkip was happy to return the favor. With a flourish of his head Ohaithere sends the Whirlpool flying through the air, spiraling directly into Piplup’s face. The heavy current catches him easily, and he’s pulled in, sucked and battered all around before being deposited back on the sand, the water dissipating temporarily to return and wreak havoc later.
Piplup’s body is injured, and he knows it. Fortunately, there’s a fix. His eyes begin to glow a pale shade of blue, and he lifts his flippers up. Two thin streams of water rise up from the ocean on the command, snaking through the air to encircle Piplup, crossing each other in the middle. The rings glow to match Piplup’s eyes briefly, and then settle, rotating lazily to activate regularly. It’s at that moment that Piplup finally succumbs to the exhaustion. He falls to a sitting position and his head droops as he leaves the land of the conscious, temporarily dead to the world.
Ohaithere snickers, and takes advantage of the situation. Another ball forms in the air, this one made of golden energy and in front of his face. It grows far more quickly than the Whirlpool had, and flies forward of its own accord. Piplup, being unconscious, is unable to move at all, let alone dodge it, and is hit directly in the face, somehow remaining blissfully unaware of the blow as he sails through the air. Remarkably, even after landing hard on the ground, he’s still snoozing peacefully. The rings around his body activate then, spreading their energy over him and healing a small amount of the damage he’s been dealt so far. Almost immediately afterwards, though, the air begins churning, and water instantly condenses around both Piplup and Ohaithere, dragging them for another round in the Whirlpool ride. As an added bonus, when the effect ends and they’re sent flying, they collide with each other, as well, although Ohaithere gets up rather quickly. Piplup, for his part, just lies there and snores.

Now that his opponent was asleep, Ohaithere knew he had the advantage. He was determined to use his advantage to deal as much damage to Piplup as possible so that he didn’t stand a chance when he did awaken. A thick, poisonous gloop began to form in his throat, burning the lining inside. The Mudkip fidgeted in discomfort and spat out the venom quickly so that she didn’t take any long term damage from it. The purple liquid shot through the air and hit Piplup in the face. The penguin didn’t react; he was sleeping too deeply to notice. Fortunately, none of the poison managed to enter his body to cause any further damage, which could have drastically changed the battle.
Despite his unconscious state, some of his trainer’s orders still registered in Piplup’s brain. Somewhere within her mind he realised that he didn’t have time to waste sleeping and managed to figure out a way to carry on the fight without actually being awake. A massive snore erupted from his beak, sending shockwaves through the air. Sand and water were churned up by the waves as they spread out towards Ohaithere. The Mudkip tried to clamp paws over her ears but was still beaten back by the attack. Sand and water flew over her, scraping and beating. The waves faded away but Ohaithere continued to lay motionless on the sand – unable to move.
Elecii called out to the mudfish, urging him to do something, but he stayed still. The last attack had done more than damage him; he was completely unable to move for the time being. He mentally cursed the Piplup, vowing to get his revenge.
Meanwhile, the penguin was stirring, his sleep disturbed by his own snores. Both pokémon got to their feet at about the same time, each watching the other carefully. Ohaithere’s eyes were filled with anger, making Piplup wonder what had happened since he’d been asleep to fire her up so much. In any case, it wasn’t his job to figure out why his opponent was angry. It was, however, his job to knock him unconscious, which was what he was planning on doing. His left wing was glowing with green energy and he planted it firmly into the sandy ground. Immediately, a system of roots began to grow under the sand, heading towards Ohaithere. The mudskipper was unable to dodge the vines that burst from the ground beneath him. They wrapped themselves tightly around his feet and swung him into the water. He got quickly back to his feet again, glaring at Piplup, who tried not to notice. The water around Ohaithere’s feet began to swirl and soon a whirlpool was raging around him. He cried out as the water tore at her skin. A similar whirlpool tried to form around Piplup but a veil of water appeared around her, blocking its effect. The two combatants looked at each other. It seemed that this was about to get a lot more violent.

The battle was in the heat of it all. It was crunch time and Ohaithere was first to the punch. It focused its in strength and and used ancient abilities as it brought giant boulders out of the ground. They crashed into the waiting Piplup, who stumbled a little but still stood firm and ready. (-13 energy Ohaithere) (-9hp Piplup)
Piplup decided to show what it was made of. It took a breath, filling its lungs with air. It exhaled and spewed from its mouth, water, hot water. The water hit Ohaithere with good impact, even for a water type move. Piplup was well pleased.(-8 energy Piplup) (-9hp Ohaithere)
Ohaithere shook off the attack and look at the Piplup thinking, "My attack is stronger!" As before, it called upon its ancient powers and brought the giant boulders from the ground as the crushed the tiny Piplup. The attack was at a much stronger rate now. Yet Piplup stood firm, it would not back down.(-13energy Ohaithere) (-14hp Piplup)
Piplup felt angry. It cried out, "No, my attack is the stronger attack!" It copied its last move as it exhaled the steaming hot water directly onto Ohaithere. The water steamed as it crashed down on the Mudkip. Both Pokemon looked at each other in a standoff. (-8 energy Piplup)(-9hp Ohaithere)
As the standoff continued, it was interrupted as both were caught up in whirlpools of their own. They both stood firm but took damage from the swirling tower of water. (-6hp both)
Piplup gained energy back as its water like ring caused it to become a little more energized. It was atleast enough to heal it from the whirlpool damage. (+6hp Piplup)
