Just combining them to save time, not for the sake of strategy, so long as that's not a problem

Lucario began to charge what seemed to be a ball of energy between her fists. She meditated till the ball became as large as one of her hands. She then was ready. Charging forward to Vapor, it seemed as if it was to strike. But stopping before the vaporeon, a shock-wave suddenly shot out from the energy ball in its hand. This beam struck Vaporeon.
[Force Palm; Lucario: -5 Energy | Vaporeon: -8 Health]
The beam eventually slacked, and Vapor had a surprise for her opponent. When the shining light of the energy vanished away, Vapor shot a stream of water from it's mouth. The powerful stream soaked her opponent, and knocked her over with both surprise and force. Vapor was happy with her odds.
[Hydro Pump; Vaporeon: -11 Energy | Lucario: -25 Health]
Lucario did not attack back. Instead it sat where it had been knocked down. Their it meditated, humming to itself. It began to renew and focus her mind, until she felt stronger. She then stood up and breathed a sigh of relaxation, before focusing back on the battle.
[Calm Mind; Lucario: -4 Energy. +1 SpAtk. +1 SpDef | Vaporeon: - ]
These pokemon's tricks bored Vapor, making her next attack quite easy. She opened her mouth and let out a wide yawn. Lucario saw this, and yawned herself. Lucario found herself very tired now, and felt like she needed more sleep.

Calm Mind~Aura Sphere~Metal Sound

Lucario settles his mind; he’s against a Special Attacker with good Special Defense. He knows this will require a level head. He enters a meditative state, which in his drowsy state is much easier than it normally would be. He can feel the ebb and flow of his own energy, the channels through which it passes, and through this awareness gains significantly better control over it, allowing him to strengthen his attacks and absorb them much more easily. Vaporeon, oblivious to the inner workings of Lucario’s mind, sucks in a deep breath and lets loose a blast of water. Unlike her previous attack, this water is heavily salted, designed to capitalize on the enemy’s wounds. Lucario, though, doesn’t have many wounds. While the attack deals some damage, it isn’t nearly as powerful as it could be.

Lucario can feel himself drifting off already, but before he can fall completely out he has time to get one more attack. He digs his heels into the ground and draws his hands back, focusing his energy into a sphere between his palms. In a quick movement he shoves his hand forward, the sphere of energy instantly condensing to become visible and highly charged. It surges forward and hits Vapor in the chest sending her flying through the air, letting out a cry that, due to the acoustics of the mountains, echoes dramatically. A smirk on his face, Lucario drops to one knee, and allows himself to fall into a deep slumber.

Vaporeon stands, glaring at Lucario, and opens her mouth, unleashing another torrent of salty brine. It hits him in the face and sends him sliding backwards, still snoozing peacefully, across the ground. You take a Pokeball offered by the Ranger, and throw, catching Lucario on the side of the head. The ball pops open and absorbs Lucario inside with a flash of red light, and snaps shut. It shakes ever so slightly, but more or less gives the muted ding of success without much of a fight.

Work Up ~ Dragon Rage ~ Slam

Hydreigon breathed in deeply, then breathed out just as deeply. She continued breathing, her eyes closed and her face creased in concentration. Her body began to glow with a faint red aura, and as it did she suddenly seemed to snap into wakefulness. She lifted her head and roared with anger, her eyes open wide and throwing twin beams of red light in Vapor's direction. Hydregion leaped up into the air and began to flap mightily, roaring a challenge to Vapor, who cowered fearfully as she watched the ferocious beast above her.
[Work Up: Hydregion, -4% Energy, +1 ATK, +1 SATK]

However, Sammy had given Vapor her orders and she couldn't disobey. She lifted her fins in defiance, opening her mouth in what appeared to be a war cry at first. Hydregion was ready to preempt such hollering, but before she could, jagged lines of freezing cyan energy lanced from Vapor's mouth. Hydregion bellowed with shock and rage as the frigid energy took hold of her, making her scales sticky with frost. If there was one thing that a dragon could not stand, it was intense cold such as that. Luckily for her, however, Hydregion was not frozen solid - she merely had an ice-burn on her wide chest.
[Ice Beam: Vapor, -13% Energy; Hydregion, -13% HP]

Hydregion was ready to retaliate. She opened her 'main' mouth wide, forming a small cyclone of indigo-and-orange energy within. The cyclone gave birth to a beam, which hit Vapor smack-dab in the face. Vapor squealed in surprise - but she was over her pain in seconds. The attack had really been pretty trivial.
[Dragon Rage: Vapor, -5% HP; Hydregion, -1% Energy]

Vapor knew that she was in for an interesting time with this next move. Trying to focus on salt - stinging salt that burned like fire when you put it on a wound - she lifted her head skyward and sent a ball of light shooting from her mouth to the sky, where it exploded in a burst of dark-gray condensation. Rain began pouring from the clouds. Vapor put her tongue out to taste - then gagged. The rain was very, very salty. Vapor was glad she had no open cuts. However, Hydreigon wasn't as lucky - her ice burn was raw and tender, and the salty rain stung it. She roared in pain as the water-drops came down.
[Briny Rain: Vapor, -12% Energy; Hydreigon, -6% HP]

Hydreigon glared at Vapor, then without warning folded her wings and dropped right out of the sky, coming into a nosedive with her nose diving straight toward Vapor. Vapor gasped in surprise, but it was too late to run - Hydreigon's body slammed right into Vapor's before the Vaporeon could so much as react. Hydreigon flapped backward, smirking, leaving Vapor curled on the ground, feeling bruised from the attack.
[Slam: Vapor, -8% HP; Hydreigon, -8% Energy]

Ice Beam's Crit Roll was 47; 1-6.25 for Crit.
Ice Beam's Effect Roll was 82; 1-10 for Freeze.
Slam's Accuracy Roll was 31; 1-75 for hit.
Slam's Crit Roll was 14; 1-6.25 for Crit.
Who wants to know how I calculated the rain? I added the Energy costs of Rain Dance and Brine. For the damage, I halved the damage that Brine would do to Hydreigon under rain conditions.
It is raining. The rain is salty, meaning that if a Pokemon gets cut by another Pokemon's slashing/cutting move, that Pokemon will take 1.25x the regular damage that the attack would deal. Because of the, yanno, salt.
The rain will last through all of next round.

A smile crept across Hydreigon’s face as she prepared to attack your pokémon. Purple energy began to form around the mouth of her middle head. An orb of this energy formed and she quickly fired it at Vapor, who didn’t stand a chance of dodging it; the water-dog stumbled and fell onto the stony ground. Hydreigon only continued to smile – things were going well for her.

You were about to try and change that though. Vapor got back to her feet and you gave her the orders with which you hoped to bring down the smirking dragon. First off, the Vaporeon rushed towards her, growling angrily. Then she leapt and caught hold of the hovering demon’s left arm (or neck). As the pair of them sank slowly towards the path, Vapor summoned an icy blast of wind, which struck the two of them together. Hydreigon shuddered as the ice chilled her to the bone; this was more difficult than she had thought it would be. Your Vaporeon was more sheltered from the wind but it was still fairly uncomfortable for her. As soon as the storm was over, she let go of her opponent and tried to get away before she was caught by a counterattack.

Unfortunately, she was too slow for that; she felt something jab her in the back before she had taken two steps. The wild monster had struck her with a glowing fist (or head). Vapor stumbled but carried on, managing to avoid any further harm. Once she was a safe distance away, she took the chance to study her opponent – she didn’t seem to be too badly hurt yet, despite all the effort Vapor had put in. Meanwhile, Vapor was feeling quite tired now; she wasn’t sure if she could keep this up for much longer. You’d have to be quick if you wanted to catch the dragon.

Not that it matters much, just thought I'd point it out.

Anyhow I knew I should have ran from this thing the second I saw it. I was hoping to sell it. Now, I don't care how pitiful the percentage. Pokeball. If it doesn't work, then Run.

Sammy was a little annoyed that his genius tactic didn't do nearly enough damage. Rather than get angry over it, he decided to go on the offensive. He reached into his pouch, pulling out a red and white sphere from within. Staring down the mighty Dragon, he threw the Ball into the air. It hurtled towards the Dark-type, and smacked against its primary head. The Dragon roared breifly before it turned into a red light and was sucked into the sphere. The ball shook violently, as the Pokémon tried to escape, but it had become too weak - the battle was over.

More pleased with this encounter than your last, you decided to stick around for a while to try and capture it. However, rather than going straight for the jugular, you realise that your pokémon is flagging a little. You give her your orders and she immediately starts glowing blue, as if charging an attack. The blue glow shrinks back slowly to form a concentrated ring of energy around the dog’s waist; this ring then expands while spinning around the Vaporeon. This store of back-up energy will slowly feed back into your pokémon, giving her a health boost every so often.

Unfortunately, they Lairon you stumbled upon hasn’t been weakened by previous battle and begins the battle immediately. There is a tree growing out of the side of the path and the lumbering beast moves to it, scraping up the dirt that has been loosened by its roots. As soon as she has enough, she charges at Vapor and smacks her across the face. Your Vaporeon howls, but not in pain; some of the dirt from her opponent’s claw has gotten into her eye and is causing her quite a bit of discomfort. Even hitting her opponent might be a difficulty now.

But she knows that she has to at least try. She blinks to try and relieve the irritation and then builds up a powerful torrent of water inside her body. As her eyes begin to sting, she releases the water, hoping desperately that it hits. Fortunately, a Lairon is hard to miss and the jet smashed into the metal beast’s side. She bellows in pain and stamps her foot on the ground – it seems that she’s getting angry.

With her temper about to boil, the steel-type behemoth decides that she needs to teach her foe a lesson. She looks at the damage she did when she stamped her foot and notices a collection of sharp, pointy stones. A plan quickly forms in her mind and the stones are suddenly wrapped in a strange aura. They then begin to move and form a floating ring around Lairon, who quickly motioned for them to move forward. The stones complied with his wishes and shot forwards towards Vapor, who had no chance to avoid them all. Despite managing to dodge some, there are many more which hit her, biting her skin nastily. Once the barrage was over, the two pokémon pause for a moment to look each other over. Lairon has taken a good deal of damage, but Vapor is still much weaker – her ring of energy heals some of the damage but she still needs a good plan if she’s going to win this.

You are feeling pretty confident in your ability to capture your heavy opponent. She growls, low and metallic, as you begin to dig through your bag. What trick could you be playing. Little did it know that a second later it was being vaporized and absorbed into a small ball. She however rampaged widely, until she once again found herself in the real world. She had broken free from the pokeball.
[Capture; Failed.]
She let out a roar, which to you sounded more like metal clashing against metal. She scrapped her foot across the ground before charging forward. She seems a lot faster than one would normally be. She suddenly crashed full on into your vaporeon. Vapor let out a cry as she was crushed momentarily by both the force, and by the heavy metal armor of the Larion. The Larion backed off, and allowed Vapor to stand back up. She was breathing heavily the effects of the hard battle sapping her health and energy.

Getting tired of this battle, you decide to throw another poké ball. It soars through the air and strikes Lairon on the head, sucking her in immediately. However, the metal beast doesn’t go down quietly; she resists the capture with every bit of strength she has. Finally, she reappears in a flash of bright light. That attempted capture seems to have made her pretty angry – she looks ready to cause some pain.

The beast of rock and metal lopes forwards like a bear. With Vapor almost out of energy, she is powerless to dodge as Lairon pulls her weight into the air, before dropping herself onto the blue dog. The Vaporeon yelps in pain as the beast falls on her. Her body is on the point of giving up and she just wants to go home. Although, her ring of water does help heal some of the damage, she is still pretty weak.

Metal Sound ~ Metal Claw ~ Iron Head

Sammy was sick and tired of this stupid Lairon hitting the crap out of his beautiful Vaporeon and not taking any guff for it. That kind of power was the kind he wanted to wield, dang it! He threw yet another Pokeball; this one barely wobbled before Lairon was out again, snarling with annoyance.

Lairon opened her jaws, intending to weaken her slippery blue opponent before she went in for the kill. A sonic wave leaped from her mouth, a ring of glowing silver. Vapor winced as the wave washed over her; immediately a sound like the loudest, shrillest screech of metal in the world filled her head. She shook her head and cleared it somewhat, but she still felt weaker - like she wouldn't have stood up as well against an attack.
[Metal Sound: Vapor, -2 SDEF; Lairon, -3% Energy]

Again Sammy threw a Pokeball. The Lairon was sucked up in a red flash as before. The ball landed, wobbled on the grass for a moment, a moment, and a moment more... And then with another flash, Lairon appeared again, roaring, lifting glowing silver claws.

Lairon was keen to hurt Vapor now, to drive this intruder off her territory for good. She lifted her claws and raked them down Vapor's unprotected flank. Vapor leaped back, hissing, but to her relief the wound wasn't too deep or too painful. Lairon was getting tired, Vapor realized, and the wild Steel-type seemed to be making a show of ferocity more than anything.
[Metal Claw: Vapor, -4% HP; Lairon, -4% Energy]

A hiss of frustration escaped Sammy. Third time's the charm.... He threw another Pokeball. Again Lairon disappeared. This time, however, the ball wobbled for a good deal longer than before - nearly a whole minute. The ping it let out after was barely audible over Sammy's elated 'whoop!' At last, he'd caught the freaking Lairon!

Archen glares at you angrily as he takes off from where he had been perched on a rock. Before you are even able to give commands to your pokémon, he has begun to glow blue and summon rocks towards himself from the mountain. Vapor only has time to let out a short squeal before jagged stones roll down the hill, bruising her side. The pain was intense, and the Vaporeon didn’t seem to be able to move afterwards; she just lay where she had been knocked to the ground and quivered in fear.

Archen circles the trembling fish-dog a couple of times to make sure she isn’t going to suddenly burst into a surprise attack. Once satisfied that this isn’t a trick, he grows another aura of blue light and pulls down more loose rocks from the mountain’s slopes. Vapor’s body still doesn’t respond, even to dodge the second barrage of rubble, which buries her almost completely.

However, the second burst of pain brings her back to her senses, and now she can focus on recovering a little. She shuts her eyes, blocking out the world around her for a little while, and tries desperately to regain some energy. Soon she feels a slight buzz as her depleted stores begin to restore themselves. On top of that, the ring of water around her body feeds back into her, repairing some of the damage that she had taken. It didn’t do enough to bring her back up to normal, but it would probably be good enough for the time being.

Leer ~ Wing Attack

Archen was unhappy. He had called down the power of the mountain itself on this Vaporeon, and it still wouldn't go away? Absolutely unbelievable. He flapped his wings and lifted into the air, his eyes beginning to glow red. He shot Vapor a menacing glare, a glare that was positively loaded with hate and rage. Vapor cringed, feeling a bit weak at the sight of Archen's anger. It passed a moment later, but the feeling of weakness still lingered.
[Leer: Vapor, -1 DEF; Archen, -2% Energy]

Vapor shook her head. She could not allow herself to become distracted. She had failed to use this move the last time, but she was determined to get it right now. She opened her jaws, feeling toxins and poisons swirling together in her guts. Before long a pile of repulsive purple sludge bubbled up from her maw, flying at Archen. The archeopteryx let out a squawk of shock as the toxins soaked his feathers and penetrated his skin. He glared down at Vapor with renewed hatred.
[Toxic: Vapor, -6% Energy]

Now it was time for vengeance. Archen flew up even farther, gathering momentum. He then pointed his big red beak earthward and flew down with remarkable speed. His clawed wings glowed white with power; he slammed them into Vapor's flank as he flew by. The Vaporeon hopped back, letting out an angry snarl. Her battered body did not react well to the Archen's attack.
[Wing Attack: Vapor, -8% HP; Archen, -6% Energy]

Speaking of her battered body... Vapor really needed a rest. She curled up, her stiff joints not entirely willing to bend. She closed her eyes, trying to relax as much as possible. Slowly her vitality began to come back, and even as it did the nimbus of water droplets around her seemed to speed up, spraying more of the healing H2O onto her short, sleek blue fur. It wasn't much, but the combination of Aqua Ring and the Chill made Vapor feel just a bit less likely to collapse on her paws.
[Chill: Vapor, +6% Energy]

TOX.

The archen wasted no time in attacking, rushing forward as fast as he could and clamping down onto Vapor with a toothy maw. Vapor felt the fang's sting, knowing if she only had a bit more stamina, it wouldn't of stung as much as it did.

[Crunch; Archen: -18 Energy | Vapor: -9 Health]

Vapor was struggling, but had her order to relax, and take a break. The aquatic fox was unsure of this, knowing he needed to recover something, but was this really the right way of doing so? Nevertheless she sat, and breathed a heavy breath in and out.

[Chill; Vapor: +6 Energy]

The revived fossil Pokemon took the opportunity to act, knowing his opponent was weak. He was ready to cause as much damage as he couldn, knowing well he expended far too much effort the last time. Nimbly doing flips and twists in the air, he struck Vapor's side with a hard set of talons.

[Acrobatics; Archen: 6 Energy | Vapor: -8 Health]

Vapor fell on her side, finding gravity far harder to overcome than it usually was. Her tail even tried to lend a helping hand in getting her on her paws. Seconds turned into half a minute, and Vapor was unable to stand. She couldn't take another hit and she knew it.

Vapor was picked up and returned to her Pokeball as the Ranger returns you to the jeep, making the Archen flee by yelling jibberish at it while throwing his arms up in the air.
