You already know Japanese!?

You might be suprised how much Japanese you already know.
You already know alot of words like Karate, Sushi, & Haibachi, and I'm sure you also know a few words like Kon'nichiwa, Sayonara, & everyone knows Domo Arigato.
But you should see just how many English words the Japanese have adapted to their language with only a sight tweeking. Some words like antena (antenna) & batteri (battery) are almost untouched in there adoption, while some others like sutoraiki (strike) you might have to practice saying as fast as you can a few times before you can really hear the origin.

All world languages share and adapt foreign words, but Japanese & English seem to share a special affinity.

But, that list cracked me up. The only sane English I've heard in Anime, is from the systematically English-bashing characters... Like that puppet-girl in D.N.Angel.

Some of these are so much fun to say. My favorite so far is baiotekunoroji (biotechnology). It's a recognizable english word, but you're forced into the thickest japanese accent. It just makes me smile everytime I try it.
