BACK TO BASICS

The Enigma Ruins have officially gone online, and the Rangers have decided to celebrate the opening of the new area by hosting a special event to properly introduce the location. Not wanting to overwhelm people as they first visit the area, the Rangers spoke with several scientists to program the Ruins to only warp certain Pokemon to the area for capture.

In this event, only Basic Pokemon (lowest evolutionary forms and non-evolving) from the Common, Uncommon, and Borderline ranks of all areas will be encountered. The following rules apply:

1) You must have completed a Sign Up for the Park. If you haven’t you can submit one here (http://pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98092).
2) The entry fee for this event is $2,000.
3) If you are already in a normal run, you cannot take part in this event.
4) Sign-ups for the event will be open for four (4) weeks from today. You may sign up to take part in the event any time during that time period. Your run does not need to be completed in this time period.
5) You may only sign up for the event one (1) time.
6) You will have twenty (20) encounters and can leave with four (4) Pokemon, just like a normal visit to the Enigma Ruins.
7) Anyone is welcome to take part in the event regardless of when they joined the URPG.

Rangers will roll from the lists in the next post to determine what Pokemon appear. 20 3-sided dice will be rolled to determine ranks, and then the Pokemon themselves will be rolled. An example will be included in the next post so people understand how their encounters will be rolled.

To take part in the event, please fill out the following sign up:

Name: Name of your character
Items: What Park Items you currently have
Pokemon Stats: Gender, Ability, Nature, and any Extra Moves they have
Extra Pokemon Permit(s): $500 for each additional Pokemon after the second

Rangers will post here claiming Trainers as they sign up for the event.

Now letís say the following list is what the Ranger gets when they roll the 20 3-sided dice to determine initial rank:

2, 3, 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 2, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2

The Trainer will encounter 5 Common Pokemon, 10 Uncommon Pokemon, and 5 Borderline Pokemon. From here, the Ranger will then roll 5 72-sided dice to determine the specific Common Pokemon, 10 89-sided dice for the Uncommon Pokemon, and 5 66-sided dice for the Borderline Pokemon.

20, 40, 46, 19, 67 = Common
33, 46, 6, 47, 16, 20, 49, 7, 32, 15 = Uncommon
4, 32, 51, 57, 12 = Borderline

The Ranger then simply matches the numbers they rolled to their corresponding Pokemon, so the finished list would look like this:

Nidoran M, Magby, Sunkern, Nidoran F, Wynaut, Houndour, Cacnea, Remoraid, Buneary, Ducklett, Snubbull, Doduo, Carvanha, Slugma, Tympole, Staryu, Rhyhorn, Turtwig, Sneasel, Tynamo
