Semi-FinalsBattle: Single, 1 Pokemon each.
DQ: 24-hours.
Damage Caps: None.
Restrictions: No OHKOs (including Perish Song and Destiny Bond); three Chills.
Arena: Indigo Plateau: Grass.
A 50' by 50' square arena that is laid out like a grassy garden. Wild flowers bloom everywhere, adding color to the shaggy, uncut grasses. A little patch is mowed for each Trainer to stand on while they call orders to their Pokemon. In the center of the arena, a tall tree stands with vines drooping from its thick branches. Occasionally a berry will fall out of the tree, and any Pokemon can pick it up for a quick bit of healing. Grass-type moves will sometimes receive a slight boost.
Roll 1-100 for every Grass move used. If the roll is less than 30, the move's damage will be multiplied by 1.25. At the end of every turn, roll 1-100. If the roll is less than 30, an Oran berry will fall from the tree. It can be eaten, and it will give the Pokemon who eats it 10% HP.
Ref Style: Open.
White Knight will send his Pokemon.
Foxamivalth will send his Pokemon and moves.
White Knight will post his moves.
Someone will Ref.

The second round of the WAR tournament began with two battlers in the flowery meadow. All traces of the brutal fight that had occurred previously had been removed, and the grass and plants were now perfectly intact. Even the tree, which had been slashed several times, seemed to have been mended. White Knight and Foxamivalth, two battlers of excellent skill, were battling on an arena that looked brand spanking new.

White Knight called his Pokemon out first. A great white-and-blue bird with a massive yellow bill appeared, flapping its long, skinny wings as it hovered above the grass. Foxamivalth released his Pokemon next - a creature with an oblong green body and a head that strongly resembled a smiling sunflower. The Trainers shouted out orders, and the battle began.

Pelipper looked curiously at Sunflora. It seemed about as threatening as the other flowers of the field, so what could his Trainer be cautious about? Nevertheless, Pelipper trusted the human and obeyed readily. He lifted his wings, and a faint turquoise light began to shimmer around him. He closed his eyes and focused, and the light strengthened, growing brighter and turning into a solid, pulsing thing that surrounded Pelipper. He broke off the stream of energy he was feeding the barrier, satisfied that he would be safe.
[Protect: Pelipper, -8% Energy]

While Pelipper was creating his shield, Sunflora was creating her weapon. She put her leafy hands together, creating a green sphere of energy between her palms. The sphere shot out, flying speedily across the green, powered by the natural, clorophyllic energy within and around Sunflora. The attack would have done a good bit of damage to Pelipper, but his shield deflected the sphere easily. Smirking with his great bill, the bird allowed his force field to fall.
[Energy Ball: Sunflora, -7% Energy]

Sunflora grimaced. Now Pelipper was waiting, hovering on the other side of the field as if inviting her to make her move. Sunflora expected a ruse but had little choice than to go on with her attack. Calling on the natural toxins within the body of many plants, she summoned all the corrosive, poisonous power she could muster into her mouth and spat it across the field like a rather large, sloppy seed. Pelipper winced as the sludge soaked into his sleek, beautiful feathers, but he smiled inwardly at the thought of the pain he was about to bring on his opponent.
[Toxic: Sunflora, -6% Energy]

Pelipper could feel his adrenaline pumping; his body was starting to go into overdrive as a result of the torment it had previously endured. He rushed forward, his body glowing with a bright golden light, and slammed into Sunflora, using the power mustered from his body's natural response to the poison. Sunflora wailed as she was knocked backward into the grass. She flopped there, her own body feeling much more beaten than Pelipper's.

Use Soak, then another Facade. If he uses Protect, try a Stockpile. If he ever uses Sunny Day, use Rain Dance.

Sunflora, you'll absolutely be a Water-type due to your stupid speed. But wait again, wait until Pelipper uses another Facade on you. Then show the bird you're the boss by using Endeavor to bring his HP down and followed by Petal Dance.

Wait until the enemy is done with all his action then Endeavor ~ Petal Dance

Round Two

Pelipper flapped his white wings, flying a bit higher into the air. Drawing on moisture within his body, he began to create a great reservoir within his huge, roomy bill. He spat the water at Sunflora, dousing her and making her feel less plantlike and more watery.
[Soak: Pelipper, -8% Energy]

Sunflora allowed Pelipper to have the next move as well. He swooped down at her, his body glowing with that same bright orange energy as before. Sunflora shrieked as she was thrown backward; she landed in the spongy grass with a soft thump.
[Facade: Pelipper, -9% Energy; Sunflora, -18% HP]

Sunflora smiled. Pelipper was playing along with her trap quite nicely. Her body glowed white, and she rushed at Pelipper, smacking him about painfully and putting him through some of the hurts she herself had endured. Pelipper grimaced - that attack took a lot out of him.
[Endeavor: Sunflora, -10% Energy; Pelipper, -34% HP]

Next, Sunflora moved in to do some serious damage. She lifted her arms, sending a rush of crimson-pink petals fluttering up all around her. She sent them flying at Pelipper - for a flowery wind, they hurt the pelican quite badly. Sunflora smiled - things were going pretty well!
[Petal Dance: Sunflora, -18% Energy; Pelipper, -21% HP]

Round Three

Pelipper knew he had to act fast if he didn't want to get his tail-feathers whipped. He lifted his wings, and his body began to glow white. Tiny tendrils of whiteness flowed from his body, tendrils that formed into an uneven, blobbish mass. Quickly the mass began to take shape: the shape of a big-billed bird with dull blue wings and glassy eyes. The Pelipper copy looked frail and lifeless, but it moved well enough. It would just need to be strong enough to withstand one attack.
[Substitute: Pelipper, -1% HP, -1% Energy]

Pelipper's decoy tactic left Sunflora feeling rather disheartened, but she had no choice but to keep channeling the petal-laced wind. She sent it blowing at her opponent, hoping to slip by his Substitute, but she was quickly denied. Her rush of petals slammed into the false bird, causing it to explode in a puff of white light.
[Petal Dance: Sunflora, -18% Energy; Sub, -21% HP]

A huge grin broke out on Pelipper's wide bill. He had a working defense now, and he was going to keep on using it. He lifted his wings again, letting just a little bit of his own life force flow out of him, and into the bird-shaped creature that appeared in front of him.
[Substitute: Pelipper, -1% HP, -1% Energy]

Sunflora let out a huff of dismay, but she still only had one option. Lifting her tired arms, she sent one last burst of dancing pink petals flying at Pelipper. Yet again her attack was intercepted by the fake, which immediately broke apart. Sunflora groaned and fell to the ground, her mind swirling with fatigue, her body feeling lifeless. The referee called out the winner's name - "White Knight!" Despite Foxamivalth's brave effort, it would be the pale paladin who moved into the final round.
