Revival Quest

[Suicune's Child]

Ghost Tower. Sure everyone’s heard of it. But there are very few who enter it. The place is haunted by ghost Pokemon and ghosts of Pokemon. It’s said that even some human ghosts dwell in the place. They are the ghosts of foolish trainers who went into the tower unprepared. Very few trainers have gone in. And even fewer have gone out. But it’s getting close to Halloween now and you’ve decided to round up a few friends and do some exploring. After all, there are no such things as ghosts. Those are just stories told to frighten young children. How wrong you are. The moment you enter the tower you know something’s wrong. You turn to leave but the door’s locked. Now what? You must venture through the tower to find another way out. A strange door appears before you. Should you go through it? Why not? It may be a way out. On the other side there’s nothing but a bright light. You walk through anyway. But as soon as you walk through it you feel a strange tingling sensation. It makes you nervous. You try to back out of the strange room. It’s too late. You are hurled through the door and the light vanishes. When you look down at your body, you realize you are transparent. A ghost. But just as you are thinking that there is no hope three ghosts appear.

“Fear not.” They say cheerfully. “There is still a way to get your body and thus your life back.” You stare at them.

“How?”

“The door. You must find it. But…you must find it before Halloween. On the day after Halloween you will be trapped here forever. And you will remain a ghost for just as long.”

“We will help you along the way. The door rarely shows up here. You must travel to find it. You still have your Pokemon. But, like you, they will be ghosts and ineffective against normal Pokemon. Unless they were already ghost types.”

You have one week before Halloween. Can you find the door in time?

Description: Mark wears simple clothing, some faded blue jeans, a yellow shirt with a pocket on the left side, with a blue vest over the shirt, the left pokect has a bulge in the left pocket that is a Pokedex. on his head is simple red hat, no symbols on it or anything like that. he has on a red back pack and a belt of Pokeballs that are on the left side of him. the hair that is not hidden from his hat is a brownish color. he wears glasses and blue eyes are behind the glasses.

Personality: Curious and daring, willing to try new things as well as outgoing and a Opimistic person, usally the bright smile in the crowd.

History: Mark is a amature Pokemon photographer, as well as a well traveled trainer, decieded to come and well, excuse the pun, Huant the place for a night and catch a few Pokemon on film. Now he wants out and see the sun agian.

Description: Jake is at average height for a sixteen-year-old. Not too short, nor too tall. He has pitch-black hair which is shoulder length, and lovely sapphire eyes. His skin is slightly tanned, and he is muscualr, but in an athletic fashion rather than a body-builder. He wears a tank top that reaches his knees, and baggy track-pants that sag slightly. Before they get transparent, they were black. He wears black fighter's gloves, the type that stop at the knuckles, and has a necklace with a diamond amulet on it.

Personality: Jake could be called a loner. He doesn't like to mingle with other people, and the only people he talks openly to are his friends, but even then, he never really gets into a long drawn out conversation, but more like short and final answers. However, when he becomes a ghost, and realises that he might never see other humans ever again, he begins to slowly open up to his friends. It is a new feeling to him, true friendship, and takes some time for him to get used to.

History: Jake was born to a single mother, who got divorced the second she got pregnant, and grew up hating whoever his father was. Thus, he became a loner, and never told anyone about his horrible past. But he may be forced to if he wants to get his life back...

She mostly wears a light blue shirt with a pokeball in the middle and ribbons at the sides of her shirt and wears a pair of blue jeans.

Personality: She is the scardy cat of the whole group. She gets scaried of every bug and other stuff and she is a ghost too, imagen the screaming. When she is not scared out of her wits, she is mostly very friendly which will that a while. . . .

History: She had became a trainer at 10 but had trouble with her pokemon when she lost every battle that came at her. Then, she found a houndour which joined her team of eevee and eletricke. With houndour's help, she beat more and more battles. She when back home to her parents before going with her friends to explore the huanted tower.

IC: Ruki watched silently as the three ghosts bowed and left. She stared at the spot where they had been for a while. Finally she turned her eyes on her friends. It was still a very odd sight. She had never seen a ghost before. Now her friends and herself were all transparent. At least they weren't white and grey. But would that last when...if they were trapped.

"Well....we should get moving. We have one week. That's not much time. I don't want to be stuck like this forever. I want to find that door as fast I can." She took a step forward and found that she was floating a few inches off the ground. She stared. It was difficult to get the hang of moving around. She fell over and sighed as she floated up side down. It took several minutes to flip right side up. "Um...this may be more difficult than I thought. We should take a little while to get used to moving around. Then we get moving." She looked at the others and waited for their answer.

Red was totally freaking.

After the horrible news, he tried to begin, but he turned lopsided.

"Um...weird, very weird." He tried walikng as he normally would, but to no avail.

He realeased his pokemon, letting them get the feel of it. Aerodactyl had no problem adaping, as it seemed it was just like flying. Gyarados and Poliwrath weren't having as hard a time as Red's other Pokemon.

"How are we going to move? We don't have wings, so maybe we should try...swimming?"

Kathrina just stood there in a frozen state and stared at everyone just getting use to there new selves but she was not moveing.

She just stood there then, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I DON'T WANT TO BE A STINKING GHOST!"

Then, her houndoom popped out of its pokeball. It was transparent like the others but that didn't stop it to try to calm Kat down, which worked.

"Thanks Diana." It backed happily. She sent out all her other pokemon and only her manectric, Shocky, and girafarig, Ginger, had trouble with their new selves.

IC: Ruki tried moving again. She flipped upside down but this time it was partly on purpose. "Hey I think I might be getting the hang of this. Sort of..." She grinned as she drifted backwards. At least I can do a hand stand without any trouble now. This thought made her grin widen. She gave a small chuckle then flipped rightside up again. "It'll take some getting used to but we can manage. Well we don't have much of a choice if we want to find that door." Well learning to fly won't help much. The ghosts said it could be anywhere. How on Earth are we going to find it? She didn't voice any of these thoughts but she was worried.

Several minutes of practice later and Ruki had the nack of flying. Well almost. It was still like trying to walk on ice but at least she could keep a balance. She lowered herself to the ground and stood there for a moment. "Let's get out of here. We have a week to find the door and we don't have a second to spare if we're going to find that door in time."

Mark was well looking a little perplexed, "Maybe I shouldn't have come, I guess their is a real Hamlet's ghost now." Mark Laughs at this but it sound hollow and a little forced to him, "Yes, let's see if I can...." mark ends up making a few complete loop da loops, and well he took a deep breath and tried agian, it took about five attempts to just stay upright, but he slowly was getting the hang of it.

Of course at that Moment a Ninetales misted togather and shook it's head, this is why I warned you to not come, anyway you should keep up with the group.

Mark blinks at this, "Living Flame? But you where in your Pokeball?" The Ninetales only smiles and shakes it's head agian and walks calmly in the air, "Show off," mark muttered.

well excusse me, but I was only studing you, and naturally took what you had right and worked on that, Also a Pokeball doesn't work on the ghost when the ball is ghost material as well.

"Where you always this know it all like?" Mark asked bewildered that he could understand his Pokemon for the first time in his life.

Yep, however I don't like this means of comunicating A flareon whined as he too misted togather and looked around, I always hated ghosts, and now I am one he then shivers at the notion.

Soon the rest of his team misted togather and looked perplexed as well but they all seemed to be getting the hang of it faster then their trainer.

Jake couldn't believe what had just happened. He had always believed in the supernatural, and he believed that ghosts were true, yet the thought of being one, totally freaked him out. He saw the diffuculties that the others were having with moving, and studied them very closly. He managed to gather a few main factors of how to move, and then triued it himself.

He leaned forward, and began to drift slowly in a straight line. He then tilted his entire body to one side, and he turned, but just then he lost his balance, and flipped upside down in mid-air, cursing fluently under his breath.

Deciding that he could learn how to turn later, he started off, leaving the others behind. He didn't need them. The stupid idiots. They were the ones who forced Jake to come to this flipping place, and now he was a ghost! It was all their fault, and they should be punished, not him.

We wafted through the air for a while, his thought tuirning over in his min, when he felt something from behind him.

Ruki watched Jake leaving. She shook her head and drifted lazily after him. The effect was spoiled by her tripping on thin air and flipping upside down. Mumbling irratbly she hovered in one place until she was on her feet again. Should I just let him leave or try to get him to stay with the rest of the group? Why am I even asking this? I have no control over what everyone else does. She sighed and stayed put for a moment. She thought she saw something smoky looking float past. But it could have been her imagination.

Vincent was still trying to stop his Rhydon to calm down, since it hates heights. "You won't fall, trust me. Or better yet, trust Deevil." He said. Then from his human body, all his Pokeballs opened, and his Haunter named Deevil appeared, along with his Houndoom Cerbie, Pyre his Blaziken and Max his Gardevoir. Unfortunately, they were all ghosts. Vin went to find that "door" those ghosts were talking about, and found an old hallway. In it was three paths. One had a door, one was covered with plywood, and the middle one was covered in fog. He started a vote on who wants to go where. "Who wants to go through the door? Raise your hand, or paw." Pyre, Max and Rhydon voted there. "Okay, the plywood path?" No vote. "Now the foggy path?" He raised his hand along with Deevil and Cerbie. Okay, we have a tie. Who wants to change votes?" The his Rhydon raised its hand, and pointed at the foggy path. "Okay then." He said enthusiastically, then went through. At the other end was a ghost, so everyone was ready to fight, including Vin.

This was bad for Kat. Almost everyone was leaving and she still couldn't get use to bing a ghost. Her pokemon had gotten it but she hadn't. She saw Mark having problems like her and Red hadn't left yet, so she went over to them in a swiming/wobbling way.

"Hey-Ah!-" She almost falls forward but catches her self, "Finally. Don't y'all think we should stick together? Everyone has left and we need to stay together even if it is just us."

Red got the hang of 'ghost-walking', and so had his pokemon.

He returned all of them but Venasaur, and announced," Ok guys, lets g-!" He suddenly remembered Mark and Kat.

Turning around, he saw Kat stumble near him and Mark still trying to grasp the hang of things.

"Don't y'all think we should stick together? Everyone has left and we need to stay together even if its just us."

Red nodded.

"Here grab my hand. Venasaur, try and get Mark with your vines, we need to catch up!"

Even with the courage in his voice, Red wasn't sure of himself.

I can't beleive it ether Ginger said snottily the wobbled wildly before landing face to the floor by a few inches Luckly I am a ghost she mummbed to herself.

They could of just waited for us. Do they think we were GHOSTS before? How rude! Agua, vaporeon, had agree with her with a snort.

"Please don't start with that! I think they wanted to just find the- Ah!" Katherina had almost sliped but grabed on harder to Red and didn't fall, "That was close."

Jake turned around, and saw everyone else talking about how they should stick together as a group. Pricks, thought Jake, They only want to be together because they're too weak to do anything themselves. Friendship is a quality of weakness, and everyone knows it.

From beside him, a thin and ghastly grey figure formed, and Jake was ready to punch it when he realised that his fist would go right through. He sighed, when he saw what the figure really was.

It was a long and serpentine figure, wit two tiny wings on eithr side of its head, and two beady eyes. It was Blaster, Jake's Dragonair.

What do you say, Blaster, asked Jake telepathically, a skill which he treasured.

Go with the others, replied the Dragonair.

Not you, too!, screamed Jake, turning away, and flipping upside down in the process.

You need their help, persisted Blaster, but Jake wasn't listening, he was floating off in the other direction, away from his friends, and his Pokèmon...

OOC: This is preety cool so far but I like long and descriptive so here goes.

Jake- Near the entrance to the ghost world

When Jake noticed a white somewhat shallow doorway, filled with white lights he new something was up. He immdiatly followed the kids threw the doorway, wanting to protect them from anything that was evil. AS he stepped threw he noticed a ghost looking character, and eaves-dropped on him. "You must find the doorway back before Halloween." Jake was instantly shocked. He relooked at himself and appeared to be a ghost. Further than that his pokemon were realeased.

"With all these problems," Jake thought "There has to be something I can do, Iam just not sure." As he thought about this, he never once noticed his pokemon. It turned out that about 2 minutes later he felt a sharp vine like thing grab him. He looked down and seen his Bulbasoar holding on to Charmander, Squirtle and himself. And worst of all Gastley was leading him straight into nowhere.

After some five minutes, Jake finnaly gave up on trying to get free. He even tried calling Bulbasoar back to his pokeball, he didnt even notice. The next problem was Jakes greatest bulbasoar was heading straight for a group of people. "Oh no I only have one pokemon that can fight in his ghost like world, and he's not that strong.

Description: This sixteen-year-old wears an official pokemon baseball cap, not quite like the one Ash Ketchum has. He wears a black vest and T-shirt, along with black jeans and black sneakers (He likes the all-black look, but he is NOT a goth!). He has black, spiky hair that always seemes to style itself, even though it's a little short. he carries aroung a black backpack (surprise, surprise!), and his pokeballs are located along the inside of his vest, in little lock-holes he got as a present from the local prof.
Personality: He enjoys reading and writing in his spare time. He takes some things seriously; like dangerous situations! He'll always try to help out, even if he knows it's beyond his ability. Other than the serious thing, he's really a funny, carefree guy. He also has perfected his special ability to understand and talk to pokemon.

As Mark was floating more to them, Kat shouts out to a boy she hadn't seen before being pulled by a bulbasuar like Mark was.

Mark said this with a laugh, and slowly distangled himself from the vines of the Venasuar, and after a few false steps where he ending up sideways, upside down, and half in and half out of wall, he finally got the hang of walking, his Ninetales only gives a snikered laugh but Mark only went on to try and find that door.

The group managed to find their wa back to the entrance and Ruki reached for the door knob. She doubted it would be unlocked but it was....she shook her head again. Better yet dear Ruki, let's just go through it. She gave a small chuckle and floated easily through the door. Once they were all out side they looked around. "Which way should we go?" She asked her comanions.

My guess is we should go back into the tower Sugested Sandy.

She means why would a ghost but the door to getting back to normal outside in the light when they love the dark more? Answered Ginger for her, which made Sandy hmph.

IC: W...where the heck AM I?! I thought to myself. A half hour ago, I seemed all fine, wandering into a tower, then I find that I can see through myself, and my pokemon (Except Macabre) are ghosts! And they can go through their pokeball linings? Jeez, this is confusing.

My Blaziken had gotten the handle of walking very quickly. Since I didn't have his expertise, Seth came over and helped me along till I got the hang of it. Then he went over to Fletcher and helped him learn. Weather and Mystic also seemed fine, since they float all on their own anyway. Caanan just decided to sleep in my backpack, as usual. I chuckled at the thought.

I began making my way through the derilict house, floating through walls and doors, until I came upon another ghost.

"So, I see you've decided to join the party..." He sighed spookily. "Well, just so you know, you must find the door out of here before the end of Halloween, or you'll be here all eternity, and a ghost for as long as you are here!" The ghost dissappeared.

"WAIT!" I yelled, looking around for him. I sighed. "Man, these kind of things ALWAYS happen to me!" I pouted. "Well, no use crying over spilled milk. Let's go guys." I motioned for my pokemon to follow me.

I floated through about to more walls before I ran smack dab into an entourage of ghosts, the one in front seeming to be female.

OOC: Sorry for the long wait ill make up for it here, also Is there a set word limit, I dont like short posts. But anyways im not sure if this is the right door so ill asume not. HERE GOES also this may be stretching it but I wanted to move the story along.

Jake thought and remebered what was told to him, the ghost suddenly appeared and spoke "There are many doors, some that take you back in time and the others have myteries within them, its up to you to find out which to chose. While others may be small you must rember the small details of the other world to surcome the trick." "Where am I?" Jake questioned himself. "This room is filled with bright lights and many hallways of doors." "You must look and study these doors you will notice your world."

Jake suddenly woke up he found himself near this group of strangers. His bulbasoar was still holding him and his pokemon, and Gastley still woulden't listen to him. Jake gave it a last shot to fre himself, he thretened to ct his vines, when Bulbasoar let go. He spoke to him to introduce himself to the others.

"Hi im Jake" Jake introduced himself to the strangers.
