..wow its been ages since I wrote here...

anyway. I was playing my 2days old pokemon emerald when I found a shiny Zubat in Granite Cave. Not a shiny green Zubat but a shiny black-gray Zubat.:eh:

Well, I wonder if anyone know something about this?

btw. I have a photo of her here, but this photo is bad.
I will snapshot another, better pic, from a friends camera later today

It's probably either a glitch or Nintendo might have added a different color to shiny Zubat. I don't really see any other alternatives :ermm:

I heard about pokemon being differtert coler but not being shiny because just a part of it was a differt color than it was suposed to be.Also it could be a different shiny color because I heard that some pokemon have more that one shiny color.

schweet! I'd be afraid of evolving it tho... what if it just turns into the regular pink Crobat? I say keep it the Black Zubat that it is, cuz in my mind it's not worth risking it.

I think that might just be the shiny Zubat. Cuz the shiny Zubat is dark green, so it may appear black. If you look at the picture you posted there, and the sprite of: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkfrlgsh041.png . And you could see the darker shades in Golbat as well: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/pkfrlgsh042.png

So it's a shiny Zubat, just looks black.

Neat, but what do you mean by "nothing has happend"?

yeah I looked through those pics, but mine doesnt show any green color atall (my point)

Oh btw. I evolved it into Golbat and it went dark green (more dark than the real shiny golbat) and later into a shiny crobat, but the crobat were exactly as a shiny crobat should be.
I didnt saved game tho. I rather keep black Zubat

Well, it would still make sense if it doesn't show any green at all, because it's so green, that it looks like black. But yea, it is the normal color, if you find someone else with a shiny Zubat, it would imagine that it would be the same color (haven't seen a shiny Zubat in-game before).

Mabye my eyes is playing games with me
I cant say that this is fully normal for a shiny zubat, but yet I cant say that I mabye have got a misscolored shiny Zubat either :ermm:

Right, based on the second image you gave us, it's not completely black, there's a green tint to it. It might also depend on your screen brightess, that can make a big difference:

Most likely that's how it looks like. But you're very lick to get a Zubat anyways .

gray-black,, or something. But dude, you gotta agree that it is atleast abit misscolored =)
eventhough ther are screendifference.
The color of shiny Zubat should be as the color of shiny Golbat.
But it wasnt. Golbat were much much greener

btw. my gbascreen would be the right one on that pic

Heh yea, they should have made the green a little less dark (like the Golbat as you said).

lol, looking at the picture twice, of the screen brightness picture, now I notice the background color for the "Super Mario Bros" is slightly different. The one on the GBA SP is more orange, and then the one on the Micro is more red, heh...

A misscolored shiny Zubat.... something for E-bay now
btw, do you know the chances of facing a shiny in a battle?

I dont want to get off-topic now but. the orange-red colored background looks more original on SP. to sharp coloring (or what you say) on micro

I believe the chances are 1 out of 8192.

And again, on the shiny Zubat, I don't think it's a glitch or anything, that's the way it really is. So it's not misscolored, sorry  .

On the background color, the "dark" GBA SP (a normal GBA SP) shows the background as red (I guess kinda orange, I dunno lol). The new updated GBA SPs (the brighter one) shows orange. The Micro shows red. Well... whatever the case, just trying to make the point that it's hard to tell the color based on the screen brightness. Who knows, maybe you'll get different color for your Zubat if you played it on the Micro, lol.

but my pal used "eyedrop tool" on photoshop and got this results:
#454a81
#3f446c
#31366e

= blue shades

I know, im stuborn

Shiny Zubat is actually more of an olive color...it looks black (and uber cool) on your screenshot, though. Maybe it IS something to do with the screen, but it's a nice find.

I wonder. Since other things on the screen such as Oddish and the background lokks just like it should be looking
Accually, I hardly belive this is the only true dark(very very very dark) green zubat.
Must've been changed in every game. (Eventho I wish mine is unique now ;) )

a golden altaria is a cool one =)
but trade zubat.. hmm, I wonder since she is some kind of trophy for me =)
