Char went first. Knowing that his ghostly opponent would strike first, he stood there, defending his territory. The red newt started to glow a transparent green, where it was almost barely noticeable. Eventually, the green light created a shield around Charmander, seeming like it was saying "I'll protect you."

Wisp started to gather up a huge mass of electric energy that it collected from...somewhere. I don't know where. Don't ask, I'm not a professor. Anyways, at last, the moment came where the Rotom gathered way too much energy and had to release it. Aiming for Char, Wisp shot the electricity at the dragon, only to see that it was deflected to elsewhere.
[Wisp: -6% Energy, Char: PROTECTED]

Wisp needed to attack again, since the barrier broke. The perfect way? Using Shadow Ball. Wisp started to get a shadowy aura around it, to use for attacking. Char stood there, confused. He had never seen this move before. But, after all, why should he be afraid? It's only shadows. Shadows can't hurt you. ...Apparently, they can. The electric ghost formed a ball with said shadows, and launched it at Char. I guess that should mean that everything can hurt you. =/
[Wisp: -9% Energy, Char: -15% HP]

The fire lizard started to feel a burning sensation inside of him. It wasn't heartburn, that's for sure. But, it was as it was going to come out of him...like puke does. This was the perfect way to retaliate. Managing to survive the inside fire (He is a Fire-type, after all), Char spit the flames in one, perfect stream towards Wisp. The ghost, getting hit by it, was now pretty mad. It had to get back at the Charmander, somehow...

Because Wisp is faster, it want twice in a row. Charmander is naturally slower, but Protect usually goes first because it has a higher priority.

I think the Compendium needs fixing, because originally, it said that Flamethrower was supposed to deal 1% of HP damage to Wisp. But, while I was preparing for the next action (Before realizing Wisp should've gone), when switched, saying Wisp used Flamethrower, it said -15% HP for Char, even though Char is a Fire-type. So, Wisp gets dealt 15 HP damage.

Char decided to interrupt Wisp once again, by doing the same thing as last time. As he tried to get that oh-so-sweet translucent green glow, nothing happened. Why?

This was the perfect opportunity to strike. But Wisp, instead, went with a defensive tactic. It started to glow a white shade, as if it was evolving. Wait, Rotom can't evolve...Can it? Eventually, screens surrounded the electrified ghost, creating barriers for attacks.
[Rotom: -6% Energy, Light Screen: Up for this round and next round]

Because the lizard seemed to be tired, Wisp started to charge energy. Releasing bolts of electricity at it's target, Char seemed to get a tingling sensation in his body. His limbs became numb and he could barely move. WHAT SORCERY IS THIS MAGIC?!

Char attempted to make an attack, but his muscles wouldn't budge. This meant trouble.

The ghost...yet again went first. This time, it planned to do something very devious with this creature. Wisp released a ghastly cloud of dark purple gas towards Char. It looks like the lizard took even more than it should have, having little spasms as it hit.

Accuracy rolled a 100 where rolling more than 100 resulted in this action missing the target.

Char decided to lie down and take a nice nap. Wait...what? Who would sleep during a heated battle?! Oh, well. It looks like it was getting some health back.
[Char: -8% Energy, Sleep for 2 Rounds, +20% HP]

This battle was going to be a piece of cake! With its opponent asleep AND paralyzed, Wisp took action. The ghost spewed the same purple gas at Char, causing the lizard to spasm in his sleep. I'm not sure that's supposed to be normal...

Accuracy rolled a 42 where rolling more than 100 resulted in this action missing the target.

The lizard couldn't do anything, seeing as it had a peaceful sleep.

Whilst Char was sleeping peacefully, Wisp decided to go defensive. Masterfully creating a copy made of ectoplasm, another Wisp was born. Eventually, color started to fade in to the clone, but there was a slight gray tint to it.

Char was still lying there peacefully, as if there was not a worry in the world to...well...worry about. Eventually, his body started to move more, his joints now more relaxed than how it was before.

Sleep is so boring. With...its opponent still asleep, Wisp decided to go offensive this time. Gathering up the shadows from Justin Hell the area, the orange ghost created a ball. When it was launched, the sphere made a distorted "WOOSH!" sound as it was heading towards Char. The lizard was launched into the air and hit the ground hard, but THE LIZARD WAS UNDETERRED!
[Wisp: -6% ENG, Char: -18% HP]
Effect: Rolled from 1 to 5. Result was 5.

Char finally got up from his sleep, not feeling much better than he should have. He dashed at the ghost and his claws turned white. As Char broke the sound barrier, he attacked Wisp with his mighty claws, soon rushing back to his starting position, in front of his Trainer, Wisp was just sort of levitating there, like nothing really happened.

Sleep Roll was 2362 where any result less than or equal to 2500 resulted in (Pokemon) waking up.

The lizard went up again to stand its ground, making sure that it wouldn't get hurt this first move, possibly creating a disastrous result.

With his foe creating a shield, he attempted to make another copy. With this, a new version was created, only dull.

This time, since his other clone had failed, he decided to attack with the same ball of shadows. When they built up again in the ball formation, he launched it at the lizard, causing Char to feel a little sick afterwards. That poor lizard, taking such a beating.

The lizard, seeing as how no damage was taken, decided to take action. He started to think of the amazing feeling of scorching hot hot chocolate down his throat to create a fire ball inside of him. Finally, he released it in a stream towards the ghost. But all that happened was it exploding. Wait, wha...?

ROUND 6

Wisp could sense its opponent getting weaker. How hilarious, considering he had taken its wonderful little doll away! It would make that lizard pay for that folly, and pay for it dearly. Gathering more dark energy before it, the dark orb composed of shadows shot forth like a Zubat out of the Torn World, smashing into the weakened Charmander.

Char was in so much pain. His legs swayed beneath him, his vision was blurred, and his head throbbed. Every movement was sluggish and difficult to do, and he knew he was just about out. His anger at the situation, his desperation, his agony, all coalesced into the fire within his gut. Opening his mouth, he spewed forth another jet of crimson flame, although it burned distinctly brighter, and to the cackling ghost, hurt considerably more as well.

Wisp could see it. Char was done for, so completely and utterly done for. That last attack had hurt, but it was obvious to the ghost that it was a full of dismay and realization, that it was a final attempt from a wounded animal to ward off its attacker. It had failed, clearly, because it was still here, still living - or as much as a ghost could live - and it was going to finish what it started. Calling forth the energy it had used so much in this fight already, it grinned, lobbing it forth to deal that last blow.

As he watched the glob flying at him...He gave up. He honestly gave up. The little Charmander, with his flame flickering so softly and in such a dim way, knew that was it. He barely felt the attack smash into his beaten body, knocking him backwards and to his trainer's feet. He couldn't get up, heck, he couldn't even move. Char was just relieved that the embrace of unconsciousness finally claimed him, putting him out of his pain and exhaustion...for now.

The ghost gave quite the evil grin upon noting its new opponent. Frankly, it was almost insulted that someone with a type disadvantage was thrown at it, like a Mareep to the slaughter. That being said, it was rather relieved that an opponent it was weak to hadn't been let out. That would have been rather unpleasant! Needless to say, the match wouldn't last long, if it had anything to say about it. Gathering crackling energy around itself, the Rotom unleashed a powerful bolt of electricity, striking the poor Squirtle with a large amount of force.

Squirt was in dismay. That had hurt quite a bit! He questioned why his trainer had sent him out against this annoying creature, but there was nothing that could be done. Char had weakened it down quite a bit, although not nearly as much as he would have liked. Lowering himself to the ground, a small silver aura gathered around him, before he promptly took off at a surprisingly decent speed for a turtle and smacked his head straight into his opponent. Apparently skulls can hit ectoplasm!
[Squirt -31% Energy, +1 DEF | Wisp -13% Health]

Wisp gave a short growl. Having been injured by something so weak, so pathetic - although it was tiny himself - was an insult. Gathering more electrical energy, it launched another Thunderbolt at Squirt, striking him square in the chest and knocking him over with a yell. Well, that made it feel much better!

Squirt knew things were falling down, and falling fast. Gathering from his very core the element he knew all too well, bringing from its depths the cool and fluid energy that all Water Types could access, he brought it to his mouth. Putting more energy into it to propel it quickly, he shot forth a high powered jet of deep blue water, ringed by white. The attack hit and soaked the Rotom, causing it to spark in indignation.

Thunderbolt 2 - Critical hit rolled a 2656, where rolling 625 or less resulted in a critical hit.

Sighing softly, Wisp gathered electrical energy, sending the might bolt at its opponent once more. The attack struck the turtle with quite a bit of force, and while it was obvious Squirt was having trouble standing, Wisp knew it wouldn't last much longer itself. Its electrical arms sagged, smaller than previously, eyes dim and unhealthy. Someone was going down, and soon.

Gritting his teeth...if he has any...Squirt once more felt the powerful energy within himself, further bolstered by the same desperation that his fallen ally had felt before. Wisp saw the attack coming, and tried to dodge. In doing so, however, it left itself wide open, more electricity than ghost in that moment. The Hydro Pump struck it and shorted its body out, and as Squirt watched, he couldn't believe he had knocked his opponent out with that one hit. At the same time, however, he was still exhausted...

How unfortunate that it would lose to an opponent it was strong against. It was almost a joke. Almost. It certainly wasn't laughing. To be honest, its mind was a blank slate. It simply had no energy left...it just couldn't go on. Trying to dodge, leaving itself exposed to the Hydro Pump, had been a poor choice. Would it had survived it it hadn't? Wisp didn't know, and probably would never find out. Its mind drifted into darkness, its body soon caressed by the red light of its Pokeball.
[Wisp is knocked out!]

With no opponent to attack, Squirt withheld his next attack, waiting to see who would be let out next. He was in bad shape, however, and knew that he had to play his cards carefully in order to win against his next enemy.

Meditite cracked his knuckles, watching his opponent pant in exhaustion. Focusing on his opponent, swirling green energy formed around his palm, and he darted forward. Squirt tried to dodge, but found his limbs were just too weighed down to do so. He was smacked in the face with the attack, and at the same time, the glow of the attack intensified briefly, absorbing some energy and vitality.

Squirt growled. This was NOT going well, at all. Calling upon his energy again, it was further bolstered by his exhausted state, and he unleashed the torrent at Meditite. His enemy being too close to dodge from the previous attack had no choice but to take a Hydro Pump to the face.

Meditite gave a hiss, as the attack had stung quite a bit. But he could see how Squirt's legs wobbled, how his eyes were dull, how his breathing was so ragged. He was barely standing. Allowing himself the indulgence of victory before he had even attacked, he gathered the same energy as his first attack. It would be an insult to injury, really - defeating his opponent and restoring himself a little in the process. Even as the attack struck Squirt, he couldn't help but wish that the battle had lasted a little longer.

Squirt balanced lightly, the attack sucking some of his own energy to give to his enemy. He had hoped to win, but it was obvious it wouldn't happen. He was just too weak and tired. At least he had been able to beat Wisp, whom had defeated Char. The type disadvantage had really come to hurt him, however, leaving him too weak to deal with the Psychic/Fighting Type. Shame, really, but at least he tried his best.
