?? is found only in Ruby/Sapphire and was originally used to represent an unseen Pokemon in the Pokedex. This is presumably from early beta versions of the game, since R/S uses ? in a circle as the unseen Pokemon image. It is speculated that both ?? and ? in a circle are necessary place holders, and are coded as actual Pokemon.


Players have reported seeing this glitch being trained by in-game trainer picknicker Diana or Annie. Others report seeing this Pokemon in the wild on Route 116. Other players report that Bad Eggs can hatch into ?? right before causing the game to freeze.


Additionally, using GameShark code 83007CEE0xxx (replacing the xxx with three numbers that don't make a real Pokemon) will produce either ? or ??. It is reported that very high numbers will yield the ??.


?? has the cry of an Unown, and its hex value lies between those of Celebi and Treecko. Its only attack is Tackle, and it has no ability.

Ah but thats the thing, BADEGG, ? and ?? are more like pokemon then glitches. They were made by pokemon to gives those people who like to use AR's and GS's a good lesson in cheating, don't cheat. Thats why they was made, and will ruin your game badly too. (and sooner or later your game will be deleted.)
