Discuss everything school-related in this thread.

So I got to miss school on Friday because band got to go perform for a band director's association or something. Anyway, I had quite a few assignments due that day, so I didn't even have to do them. ^^ I'd sort of rather do homework on the weekend anyway.

Hm, we don't get letter grades... all of mine are a percent out of 100. o_0;
we do too, i'm just converting them to letter grades.

91 - 100 > A*
75 - 90 > A
65 - 74 > B
50 > 65 > C
Below 50 > GG! YOU FAIL! HAH!

not very sure about B and C...but anyway, i better get A* for chinese or i'll get murderered ;0

silverfrost

Oh, that's different for us too. If we were to use letter grades, they'd be like this:

A: 90-100
B: 80-89
C: 70-79
D: 65-69
F: 0-65

The only time I changed school is when I moved (about 5 miles from my old house) and I would have to change school anyways because I was in 2nd and the school I use to go to only went up to 3rd grade.

I don't know; we got a new science teacher in our school this year, and so it's been pretty boring. When my old teacher taught Biology, it was actually pretty interesting. Also, our new teacher has made us disect 5 animals. 5. In two months.

I seriouly doubt my mom will let me go to the equestrian club. I have to take two tests (MST and honors english application testing) and they are both long, MST being 3 hours long. You should be. My mom wants me to go to my regular high school 1/2 the day and MST the other 1/2. But, from what I heard, MST is hard to get into. 300 of the smartest kids in the distret try out, and 60 make it. Although I was 1 or 16/500 to get into the gifted program at our school, and am in accelerated, I don't know if I want to do it. I could probley get in if I really wanted, but I also heard its really hard work, and you usually don't get 'A's because the classes are so challenging. If I don't get in, my mom already jam packed my high school scedule. Meh, it sucks. Guess my luckiness isn't being very lucky, lol.

I'm really in a bad mood these days. my best friend suddenly avoid talking to me anymore and when i tried to talk to her she just stare at me coldly. when i hv lunch with her and another classmate she just pretends i'm invisible and only talk to the other classmate. i feel isolated but i didn't dare to talk to her abt it. when we return to the classroom she is really warm to her neighbour but when she sees me she acts as if she saw a stranger.

i suddenly realize that my best friend has become my enemy. now i just meet another new friend and we both avoid talking and looking at each other. i'm filling with frustration and sadness these days and i feel really tired inside.

Yeah. Unfortunately, I've gone through similar experiences before. I've lost friends through immature fights and also just by drifting apart. The people that I used to be best friends with in middle school are different from the people that I'm close to now. Things change, and although it's really hard to deal with, it happens to everyone. I think that the best thing you should do, however awkward it may be, is to talk to your friend about this. I'm sure she has her reasons.

lol... I can't really remember any of them too well. However, I remember that most of them were historical.

No matter what happens, during some part along the test, there is always one story or essay that promotes and discusses the qualities of ethnic diversity. I've taken the test three times and I've seen it every time, and so has my brother, and he's seen it too.

Yes, I've also seen that both times I've taken it. Also, there always seems to be a story about how a certain piece of literature has affected someone. ¨_¨

Heh, yep, I've seen that too. Last time I took it, there was a story about that book called "The Acorn People" and how it affected some person's life. I read the book myself and couldn't stand it. So... bloody... depressing...

I've been learning HTML for the past 4 years, and I never really started learning others languages (like javascript) that can really help in designing webpages, so I had to learn to do almost everything more advanced programmers can do with only simple HTML.

Also there are soo many things/situations/events going on in school and it's really hard. Teenage years, heh. and there's different competitions I need to attend, so yeah, if I haven't been here in a while, excuse me for that.

Nah, high school isn't that bad. There are still some good times to enjoy, the fun isn't over yet. I was scared myself of high school a while ago, and now I don't know why I was. There are many fun things you can do during your high school years that you can't do any other point in life.

Don't spend your high school years worrying about what's going to happen next, just enjoy the good times that you have and carry on.

High School is not that bad here, but one thing I miss about Middle School is the ability to be able to just relax and be able to talk to your friends during classes more often. In high school, you still get to talk to your friends, but not as much. But even high school has its pointers, like you have more freedom to leave the school at lunch to go out and go to the mall as long as you make sure that you get back on time, and they also have vending machines. :P

That's true. I don't ever have school on Friday, so I guess this makes up for it. For instance, I only have Marketing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while other classes may be on Mondays and Wednesdays. Great thing about college is the fact you can mess around with your schedule to some degree. I'm a Junior and I have yet to schedule myself for a Friday class. They're pretty easy to avoid.

Something really funny happened yesterday, though. It was one of my friends b-days, and at lunch there was always this teacher to announce people's birthdays. So me and my other friend went and told him that "Hey Mr.K, its Crystal's birthday!" so he went up to her and tapped her on the shoulder, and she turned around yelling "HU!?" and tripped on this banana peel and landed face first on the floor in front of me, then Mr.K said, "There you have it! Seems that way, but slipping on a banana peel is something meant for cartoons. Doing that in real life has got to make you seem looney to some degree.
