Should we reorganize the art forums?
How do you think we should do it?
Do you think we should just combine MixedFanArt/OriginalArt & MixedGraphicArts forums into one all inclusive Art Forum?
Or as Nefarious suggested: create a new Art Sub-board where we may or may not keep the 2 existing forums as they are now, and maybe even add new sections like a "Sprite Forum" later as needed.
These are the only 2 suggestions I have at this time, but if you have an idea for the Art Forums please feel free to post it here.

Personally:
I'm really liking the Art Sub-board idea. I think keeping the visual art in it's own board would make things even easier to keep track of for me.
I also think it might be a good idea to include the Mixed Written Work in this Board too. As it's just another type of artwork.

I like both of these Ideas. it gets annoying having to go to multiple boards to look at art.
I'm not sure about putting Mixed Written Work with art... It really is its own section. The only other two writing sections are roleplaying and fanfiction.
I suggest we leave Mixed Written Work out.

Well, I've been thinking of how to organize it. There's just so many different ways to handle it, what boards and where to put it.
I was thinking of putting the Graphics Art board as a sub-board under the Fan Art board.

I don't think so. I'd rather have it the other way around. But I'd rather have it neither way at all. Putting both under one Art Parent board would open the possabilities to even more boards in the future. And then the main Art Parent board could be the board where we put contests and projects, and main things that make the forum significant.

Okay, I think I might go with this:
Mixed: Art Boards
-Mixed: Fan Art/Original Art
-Mixed: Graphics Arts
So the Mixed: Art Boards will contain the two sub-boards, just like how like the Mixed Boards contains the mixed boards, and the Other Boards contains the other boards.

I'm missing the point of the word "Mixed" being on everything.

I still want to keep the art section within interactive because it kind of fits along with the roleplaying and fanfic sections.
I like the sub board idea though. I also like Nefarious' idea about keeping the main board for contests, information, and other threads that should have prominance.

Mixed as in both Pokemon and non-Pokemon related subjects are allowed.
Pokemon: Pokemon related subjects only.
Other: non-Pokemon related subjects only.
If you read the board description, you'll get it .

All right so what are we going to do about this? It seems that you like the idea of putting both board into a parent forum. And I want to use the Parent forum for contests and stuff as I said before.

We could make another board for contests, but the parent forum would be left closed and used solely as a parent forum, like the Pokemon: Games.

Well, whatever works. It'd be for Projects and Contests though.
EDIT: Let's just make it "Major Art Events" or something like that. =)

Not sure about the name, but I agree with having a board for it.

I suggest we have ONE Art board, you can have everything in it, Arts, Graphics, Drawning, fanArt and all, and in that board you have a Sub-Board for Contests of all Art types. But it is just a suggestion :P

Yeah I didn't like the name much either. But there should definately be a board for it.

Yeah it'd make things look better, but the board would be crammed with sticky threads. There's already enough sticky threads in the Graphics board, and with all the contests and stuff it'd be really crammed.

I think it should be like -
--------------------------------------------
1. Mixed: Art Boards:
- Traditional Art (Mixed/Original art)
- Graphics Art
- Major Art Events
or
2. Mixed: Major Art Events
- Traditional Art (Mixed/Original Art)
- Graphics Art
--------------------------------------------
1 - This is like what Ryan proposed earlier, but with "Major Art Events" added.
2 - This is similar to how the Roleplay boards are at the moment. With "Major Art Events" as a forum and "Traditional Art" and "Graphics Art" as sub-forums in which members display their works and take requests, ect.

Well I guess either way would work. But I still think just having "Art" as the parent board is better. If Major Art Events were in the front it'd kind of throw people off. So I say we just have the three sub-boards.

K I guess that's the way it'll be then.
And I think we should call the Art events board: "PE2K Art Events"

Sure. Complicate it. But sure that sounds better.

Again, I was just wondering when this is going to take place. I haven't seen Ryan on very often so I suppose we'll have to wait for him to come here and confirm the Art Board changes. But in case he is on and I'm not seeing it, this is a reminder. ;)
