TMI: Department Captain Applications

Now that we have the three Executives for The Ministry of Innovation, we can begin hiring the Department Captains.

We have a total of four departments so far, each dealing with a section of PE2K. A Department Captain will be in charge of ensuring that the section is active. The Captain will be leading his department in all TMI-sponsored events and projects in that department. In addition, the Captain is expected to encourage creativity within the department so that the ideas of the members can flourish. In short, the Department Captain needs to be a leader.

Of course, the Captain needs to maintain constant contact with the Executives. We do want to talk to you. It will look better on your application is you have an instant messenger screenname (preferable AIM).

Now, we know that many people are interested in the Captain positions. Thus, in order to make this fair, we're asking each candidate to fill out an application for the position asking why the candidate is qualified for the position and what the candidate plans to do with the department.

Previous Leadership Positions: Being a judge in the WAR's, being (Co)Leaders of many Teams, Gym Leader in URPG, and the Interviewer on the TIMES.
Qualifications for that Specific Department: I'm active and I like to make sure everything is in order and free of SPAM and n00bs.
Plans for the Department: Strighten it out and organize it so people can find things better. Make future contests other than MOTM!

Qualifications for that Specific Department: I visit the Art department all the time every day, I post often and even if Iam not on I will come on if asked to.
Plans for the Department: I plan to help keep thiefs out and I plan to try and post in every new topic so it doesn't die makeing the creator of the topic feel down. Also, I will try to go to older pages and delete older topics that have died so that the art in them isn't stolen.
Other Information: There isn't too much I can do but if I am needed for anything then I will try my best to help out. But I don't give out any promise's.

Current Leadership Positions: The Forum Template Project.
Previous Leadership Positions: I have been leading the F.T.P. and I also have previously brought to life the Banner of the Week contest. I've also been modded at the Shack for the Art sections.
Qualifications for that Specific Department: Iam experienced with adobe Photoshop and Imageready. Prior to having PS, I've used Paint as well as other GIF animators. I've made countless banners for members as well as myself. And I've participated in the Smeargle's art competition and have also participated in my own Banner of The week competition.
Plans for the Department: I plan on brining back the Banner of the week contest and I also will continue the F.T.P. The two Art Boards will be modded accordingly, depending if I am given modship to them, and they will be monitored to keep out art thieves and also spammers and such. Every artist has his or her own way of expressing themselves, but the memebrs and I can still encourage them and give them pointers when needed.
Other Information: I'm pretty active and am dedicated to what I do. I'm hoping that I can make the Art sections the best they can be. And I know with the four captains all together, PE2K will thrive!

Plans for the Department: I am going to activate this section by advertising it all over the forum, I will also make poetry contests, I'll assign graders for essays to help in school essays in differant subjects. This section is one of the best sections PE2K has, too bad it is inactive at the moment. I have many ideas in my mind, but I am still cooking them on low fire, its better this way for me not to burn the recepie. ^_^

Plans for the Department: To help people become more familiar with the RP sections and give ideas for new RP's and plans to improve old ones that could be restarted or have been moving slowly, to help people understand the basic rules of general RP, to help solve any problems that may arise, as well as preform any task that I must to keep the RP sections going

Other Information: At the moment I don't have a computer, but I'll be getting one either this month or sometime in the middle of next month. At the moment I'm using library computers and so my time online is somewhat restricted, but I'd still be happy to do whatever I can to help PE2K keep running.

Editorial director on my school newspaper, URPG ref and gym leader, Pokemon TCG League Leader and professor.

Pokemon TCG coach (when Wizards of the coast was in charge)

Qualifications for that Specific Department:

I have a lot of experience with the Pokemon TCG. I attend league on a regular basis, as well as competitive tournaments. I also have a lot of experience helping kids from my work at Pokemon League, and have good knowledge of rulings, etc., from my status as Pokemon Professor. In addition to Pokemon related experience, my work for the newspaper requires me to take charge and make decisions regarding the paper's direction. Selecting articles to publish, editing, helping other writers improve, etc., not to mention the amount of responsibility it involves.

Plans for the Department:

I would try to make sections for the Pokemon TCG such as a deck doctor for unlimited and modified play, the basics on playing, single card and deck strategies, and also try to help eliminate spam though education. Dividing each TCG into sections could help eliminate spam and help organize and make it easier to comprehend to new players.

Other Information:

I don't really have any experience in other TCGs, so if I were to become captain, I would need people with experience in Yu-go-oh, Magic, etc. to help out with those sections.

Qualifications for that Specific Department: I have a guide to the cards and I have a lot of cards. I have gone to Pokemon Rocks America and have had other card tournaments as well.
Plans for the Department: I can hold card tournaments because I have a guide that names all the cards ever made and I get a new one every month. I also can hold create a card contests [this is only for Pokemon and Inuyasha cards]
Other Information: I am on most of the time. Some times by mom is on, so PM me before interviewing if I am on. I am never on Mon.-Fri. during the hours 7A.M.-3P.M. In Iowa time
