~!PE2K Winter Festival: Poetry Contest!~

-Intro
Words has been for many of years a way to communicate with the outter world, and with your inner community. Poetry is a mixture of words streaming right from your heart, without thinking, they are so true, so romantic, filled with passion and sensation. When you write a poem it can be dedicated for a dear friend, your community or country, to the one you loved, love and always will keep on loving, you can dedicate it to god, the nature that has been created by a higher force. That is the meaning of Poetry, in my own point of view at least, and that is what I excpect in this contest; I want to see true passion in the words you write down on a scrap of paper, I want to feel the sentences you formed while closing your eyes, clearing your mind, and allowing your heart to speak freely.

Our contest is, or should be, Winter related, and when I say winter I always think of a jolly, merry Christmas, I think of pure white snow flakes dropping from the sky, so beautifully that it can actually take my breath and keep me alive, I think of the ones I love, I think of my special one, I think of how the son god, Lord Jesus, was born in such a beautiful season, making it the season of extreme joy. When people think of Christmas now days, beautifully wrapped presents, Santa Clause, a Christmas tree, decorated in an outstanding way, lights, food and drink, but when I think of Christmas I do think of the one who saved humans two thousand years ago by being born on this day of Christmas, Lord jesus, whom sacreficed him self for us.

-Rules
The rules are simple, it is simply poetry, write whatever comes into your mind, it doesn't have to rhyme or have a rythem, but I prefare it would. This is a nearly no rules contest, a no rules way of life, because no one ever managed to rule or do rules for poetry, and no one will ever be able to. My rules are simple:

1. Right in correct grammer and spelling, I refuse the shortcuts we use over the internet such as "u" or "r" or such, use correct form and tense of verb, do not have spelling mistakes.

2. Try to rhym and have a rythem in your poems as much as possible, if your heart can give you a beautiful rythem, then your heart ain't poetic.

3. I will choose a subject ever week, and we'll start on the Saturday of Christmas Eve, on the 24th of December, until the Winter Festival ends. And you will simply have to MIX that subject I choose with a winter-ish theme, be creative.

4. You post your entries here, with your name, entry title and the poem its self. At the end of every week, on Saturdays, I will announce the winner of each week, and who got the 2nd place, the fun thing is I will allow MEMBERS to vote on your poems, I am just a host for this contest, not a judge, people will judge how poetic you are.

5. Most importantly is to maintane one major rule, and to obey it. Write from your hearts, let it all come out, and enjoy it, have fun while writting and Merry Christmas.

-Selected Subjects
1. 12/24/2005: Week One - Christmas and the Birth of Jesus. (Not Done)
2. *To be decided after Week One ends*

-Contest Winner
Week One: None yet.

-Conclusion
the point of this contest is to reactivate a section that has died in PE2K, and to enjoy what god gave us so special, which is definatly our hearts, minds, and what differs us from beasts and animals, the ability to speak, express our selves with words. Now use those words to express your selves in the most beautiful form you can create, the crest of perfection you can reach the most. All I can say now is that I wish you all a Merry Christmas, a joyful season and a happy new Year, may this year be much more peacful to the world than all previous years of war, hatered and destruction that has corrupted our pure hearts that Jesus has saved two thousand years ago. You may begin writting now, this I excpect to see the first poem on Christmas Eve guys.
