Lilycove sale

In my game i have beaten the elite four a total of six times yet i have not gotten one sale on top of the lilycove department store. Is there some trick to trigger this event?

I don't think so, you just have to wait.

In Emerald I beat the Elite Four about 6 months ago and I still haven't seen a sale...but on Sapphire I got it about a month after I beat them.

Yeah it is just time. Keep beating the Elite four and wait about an hour before versing them again and in that time check the TV.
