Ac's banners are good and all, but I can easily tell the Lasso tool was used exclusively. Funny how each of them looks like the inside of a lava lamp. :P

I don't think we need two threads for this. Just discuss and enter in one thread. That's basicly what we did last time.

iirc, it's pen tool, not lasso

Well, I never use pen tool. Never really needed it...

You're missing on alot.
Huh? I don't know anyone who uses the lasso tool for vectoring, you're creeping me out o_O I use the freeform pen tool... can anyone here spare me $270 for a wacom tablet? I'm tired of my mouse >_>

Well, you probably could pull off those same kinds of blotch patterns with a Wacom pen + Lasso tool, which I kind of thought you had...
You'll probably kill me, but I almost never use my Wacom tablet. I've tried drawing with it in Flash and it just doesn't work well with me at all... :silenced:

You use the FreeForm Pen tool!:surp:

My stuff ends up pixely if I use that tool. So I just use anchor points and then mess around with it for my squiggly lines. =P

TM, that was so spam. O.o
Eh, did you notice that Knightblazer's banner has a fairly samey kind of text as NP's, with the exact same word? :p "Forsaken"
Again, I'm not sure if I'll bother entering this week, since I'm being lazy. Like last week. :p Entering an old banner was just plain lazy. But I just don't have much inspiration, present.

Well, if you use the blur tool or outer/inner glow with the lasso tool, it won't look pixely anymore.
Pen tool would be better, obviously...

Thought, why don't I enter again.
Though, I suck at abstract.

I really liked your enter, DU. Really love the colour. ^_^ (Seems weird spelling color our way.)

First things first, just like I was agitated when I first came back, the "omg spam" is unnecessary and annoying.
But to get back to PS, I am clueless on vectors. I can't find anything on tutorial sites, and quick run-down would be helpful. I don't know what they are but apparently they are good? And, yeah, I don't know how to use the pen tool either :(

Maybe this site'll help.

Basicly, vector images are smooth and don't pixelate when zoomed on.

And that's why I draw in Flash. It uses vector, so you can zoom in a million times and you won't see a single pixel. However, the moment you slap it into Photoshop, it's a different story.

I take it you draw all your Neo Pikachu pictures?

You got it. Sometimes I trace the weapons though, but not always.

Yep. I've tried drawing with the Wacom tablet too but it just doesn't come out that great at all. I just prefer to draw with the mouse since I've been using it to make Flash animations for years.

What exactly kind of stuff do you do in Flash, I've never heard of it :(

That's what Flash Player is for, after all...

Alright, I've been using a Pen Tool tutorial, and I can't get it to where it WILL NOT automatically fill in with color. I just want to be able to trace the images :(
[edit] loling like crazy at those short films xD You should uh... Have Blastoise make a guest appearance helping Pikachu sometime. He IS a tank after all ;)

Make sure you have the setting as follows:
Make sure you have the "Paths" icon selected. Make sure you have the "Pen Tool" selected, and not the Freeform Pen tool. Make sure the "Auto Add/Delete" box is checked. Make sure the "Exclude overlapping path areas" icon selected. Not sure if all of these settings are necessary, but I'm just saying the settings that work for me. =P
Vectoring is simple.. I use Photoshop CS for my vectoring, I use the freeform pen tool... I don't use flash or anything like that, and I see no reason for non-pixelated zooming... that does not help me; I like the pixels, without them there would be tons of things that I could not do.
