I'm trying to get the Regi's into my team, and am stuck at the last bit of the puzzle. Catching Relicanth and and Wailord is pretty damn hard. I've had no luck with relicanth, although I have seen one. Wailord however is giving me real jip. I've never seen one out in the wild, and after searching for about 20 minutes straight each time I try, I haven't seen a glimpse of him :ermm: So I was wondering; Have any of you guys caught him? And if so, where on route 129 did you catch him?

Well, of course there is no wild Wailord, it's a fully evolved Pokemon! You can find Wailmer by fishing with a Super Rod around Routes 126, 127 and 128, though. Level it up to 40, and you'll have your Wailord. Wailmer are somewhat common, so it shouldn't be that hard to find one.
As for Relicanth, it can be found by diving in Route 124, but it's extremely rare...

Ive never found it hard catching a Relicanth, have six of them and you have to evolve a Wailmer to Wailord.

Well, as for the Wailord, according to my Prima guide to emerald, it is possible to catch a Wailmer on route 129. It is listed as 'Very Rare', but it still says it is possible to find it. If someone who has both a camera and a copy of the guide, and can look that up for me and show it, then that'd be most appreciated. The guide could on the other hand be wrong, but meh
As for Relicanth, still no luck with him. All I find are Clamperls and the ocassional chinchou
