Can the DS support the Wireless Adapter?

If PkMN Emerald can't support the DS's wireless communication system, how can they trade?

Can the DS support the GBA link cable?(yeah I know, noobish, but it doesn't hurt to ask)

Do you have what it takes to know the answers?

1. it has a built in wireless adapter, but only works for ds games so you cant use your ds's link for gba games

2. to trade with emerald you need a gba with the wireless, or a link cable

3. no, the only thing you can plug into your ds is the recharger.
