The Dark Lords time had finally come.
And standing o’er his ashes was the son,
Of two the demon had slaughtered for fun.

It’s another year at Hogwarts School for witchcraft and wizardry and it is the anniversary of the day Harry Potter vanquished the dark one and his death eaters. While the one himself has recently died from a deadly form of cancer, there is still his son who is now 24 years old. The school hasn’t changed almost at all from the previous years except for the people running it, it is still a good school to go to but the American University is now gaining more and more English students each year. The houses have not changed and neither has the point system or quiditch but there has been one addition to the school. The addition is a great stadium built for training magic in a war like scenario. The game will be explained later in the post. The ghost are still here, but most none of the teachers are, some are retired while another few have died either from age or from the War against the Dark One. The wizarding world is changing also, muggles are starting to notice the strange occurrences around them and the Ministry can no longer use their forgetfulness charms on them anymore for a strange reason. On top of that the giants are rallying in an organized form and wizards have been dispatched to deal with them, some have even died from their missions. Strange things are happening all around the school and even though the school tries to shield the students from the truth the pattern doesn’t lie, it appears we have another megalomaniac on our hands.
The Stadium is like a Roman Coliseum except that it is bigger and the center’s terrain changes every game, one game it will be an Ice cold blizzard and the next it will be a steaming jungle. The game is organized like this, a protective bubble is placed around the center to protect the spectators and 6 students are sent inside the coliseum at random from the audience. They quickly change into game-playing costumes and their wands are exchanged with standard game-playing ones that cannot perform any dark or harmful magic, only a few spells can be cast with the wand, each only causing small pain to the one hit by them, bind spells only hit when the guard of the victim is let down. They are paired into three teams and sent in at different doors to the center of the coliseum. (One person per door.) The object of the game is to use the spells you can cast to subdue the opponent and knock them into one of the many magic-proof traps in the playing field. (Nets, holes and the like.) Once one person is left standing that person’s team wins and they both respectively win 50 points for their house.
Please, no animaeguses. Patronoses are fine but please use them correctly or I’ll beat you to death with a spoon.
The current Headmistress is Avilina Custancia Reeve, she took over just as Mongonigal left, she is very young and spontaneous, but she can be very strict. She regularly gives out candy frogs to children who do something nice for her or those who do something nice for others. She has a very different take on what it takes to be Headmistress of a school.
The teachers can be named by the people who RP, just make sure to clearly state which class they teach, and try to make the name as “old English” as you can.
