View Full Version : Emerald: Pokemon Flickering

I have something weird happening. A couple of my pokemon, including my starter pokemon, when they come out for battle flash/flicker for an instant. Only noticed with 2 of the pokemon so far. There doesn't seem to be a color difference but maybe I'm wrong. There was nothing different when I captured the other pokemon that flashes. (on another game I caught a shiney and it had stars around it when I first ran across it)

Only my shinies do that. Are you sure they aren't shiny?

Maybe it's just a weird glitch.

That's weird then. There was no indication that they were shiney until I was battling with them. Do they have the shineys listed for Emerald or do I just use the Ruby/Sapphire Shineys.

Emerald shinies look the same as RS ones. PE2K has a sprite resource for the shinies...

Well, just checked the shineys. My Swampert is blue not the purple color it shows for a shiney. My electric type still looks normal as well. Maybe once it evolves I'll know for sure.

Definitely weird.

In Emerald pokemon have special animations.I think I know waht happens, but first: BlazeFlare, does your Swampert glows dark blue when you send it to battle?

Yes the Swampert does glow dark blue and then flashes. My pikachu also glow bright yellow and then flashes.

Oh. Well, d'oh. That's just their Emerald animation.

Hmmm, well it's weird then cause they're the only 2 that do that and as the pre-evolutions to Swampert didn't flash, it surprised me.

Not all of them "flash". Only some.

Quite a few Pokemon do, actually.

I thought it was glitch, them I thought it was shiny.
