2-on-2 Battles with Allies

In Emerald, are there any other 2-on-2 battles in which you fight alongside an ally? I hope that the player + Steven vs Team Magma wasn't the only one - that was a very refreshing battle...

You get to battle with another person in the Battle Tower and you battle opponents who have allies, but Steven and the Battle Tower are the only two places someone battles WITH you.

But once you get your apprentice, he'll do battles with you sometimes.

How do you get an apprentice?
You go to the Battle Frontier and into the Battle Tower. Go all the way to the left and you should see a person standing there. Talk to them and they'll say something like "Oh, maybe you could give me advice..." and they will ask you one question a day which will help them form a team (example: "Which Pokemon should I use: Absol or Wailord?" Or What item should my Absol hold?") After a certain number of days when you've answered all the questions they will appear in the Multibattle section of the Battle Tower and you can select them as your partner for Multibattles. A new person will then appear in the Battle Tower for you to give advice to.
