Is this weird?

Okay. I was training my Azurill and all of a sudden... I saw Latios!... Okay. I threw a netball at it and it clicked two times. It's no suprise he ran. I checked his pokedex data and it said he was in Sootopolis... I went to do some quick healing in Slateport and I went to the SAME field of grass and I saw him again! The first pokemon I saw since I came back!! Weird... I threw another pokeball and it said "Aww, it appeared to be caught!" or something like that. Weird thing is I never could weaken it, or apply it with any status ailiment.

I don't know. If it's not weird, a mod can lock it up.

Its not weird, its perfectly normal, unless you didnt beat the elite4.

I sort of understand. You ran into it in one area; came back and found it there again. How long did you spend away from the area? If it was just to go to a pokemon center and back there is a good chance it could have just stayed in the area; however if you went away for an hour training for instance and then came back and found it it was possibly just luck.

I went to the E-4 to train an Oddish so I could put him to sleep. Flew back to Slateport and saw him again.

Yeah, so in my opinion it was just luck however I'm sure that it isn't unknown to happen: I'll try it out myself sometime.

Well, did you say outright that "Lati@s's location changes every time you enter a building"? No. I was only stating that that was the reason why you managed to find the thing in the same place again.

Actually, everytime you encounter it, and it runs, the location changes. Anytime you change location (e.g, Route x to Route y, or entering a building/town, etc.) Lati@s changes location. To capture it, send out Umbreon or Golbat and use mean look so it cant run, and take some timer balls. Wobbuffet with Shadow tag is also a good pokemon to use.

I used the tactic of putting it to sleep and paralysing it and then attacking it until it's health was low - it took me a conciderable time to keep on tracking it down after it ran away. Alternatively it is also acceptable to use a Trapinch which knows arena trap as it's skill.

Well, I'm not one to use Ultra balls. I only use the net balls because it really works better when you're in the water routes. Ultra balls don't work on them anymore; I don't know why. BTW, Arena trap doesn't work on them because of their ability to levitate.

no wow. its not weird. i beat the e4 in 8 hours....walked into the desert...saw him at like 8:11 for my gameplay time...not weird...i saw her technically...Latias
