I say NO to this, but I also say NO to not remove the mixed polls section (get rid of mixed polls and allow polls wherever they fit). I'm a really organized person and just putting your polls in their true section would be better to me. Right now, the place is just an excuse to spam.

Where's the poll?
I looked in the section for the polls, and it does seem a little impractical/crowded, but I've seen polls elsewhere on the boards (other than the polls section).
I suppose if some people deliberately check up on the polls section, it could be conducive to spam, but it seems like it's just a place to store polls, to be linked at when a particular issue comes up.

The purpose of keeping the polls in one place, is because they will be in one place, heh. Like Pika said, it's convenient to have all polls in one section. In the early days of the forum, I just found it too messy for people to create polls eveywhere on the forum. So I found keeping all the polls in one place makes everything more tidy, and again, it's convenient to know where all the polls are.

I'm with Blur. I said the same thing like a month after I joined.
I don't really like the fact that just because a thread has a poll attached it goes in that section no matter what the topic.
I don't see how it's more convenient to have a board with no purpose other than to hold polls that readily fit into the other boards.
Polls aren't a topic, they belong in various topics.

I don't really like polls at all, they cant accomplish what a good conversation can.

Your female genetic predecessor was unable to establish what a good conversation can last night.
Still, seeing as how the administrator reaffirms his stance on polls, would it not make sense that he has thought this decision through? Does not the position of administrator mean he was present at the boards the longest, has the most experience, is most likely wise enough to make good decisions that have allowed the boards to hold on to the members?
I do not think one should question the authority, especially when it shows no hesitation in its decisions. There is likely some crucial circumstance or aspect that you are ignoring that would make separate polls a wiser idea.

Maybe that's part of the reason polls are in their own boards...
Maybe...
