Level 10 Tournament [Sign Up]

Here's an idea I had while on my little vacation. I hope it turns out as fun as I imagined it. :dazed:

Rules

*All battles will be 2v2, r/s, no items, random terrain.

*Only 16 people may participate. It's first come, first serve.

*You must have a messenger system (Yahoo, AIM, MSN,...).

*You will be rejected if you don't have some kind of messenger. You will also be rejected if you recently started in the URPG within the last week or so. This is nothing against you personally. Of course, there are exceptions so you may as well try and enter.

*After the sign ups are finished, you will select two Pokemon from your stats. You will be using these Pokemon only and can't change them at any time. Choose strategically.

*There is a reason this is called the Level 10 Tournament. Every Pokemon will only be able to learn moves up to Lv.10, this includes any evolutions (at Lv.10, that would only mean Butterfree, Beedrill, Beautifly, and Dustox). So if you want to enter Charizard, it would actually be a Charmander. Max stats will still be used. The only difference is you are restricted to moves learned from Lv.10 and below.

*TM's and Breeding Moves may make or break your Pokemon, depending. In this tournament, you are allowed to use only 1 TM or 1 Breeding Move which also must be chosen at the beginning with your Pokemon. If this tourney is successful, :cool: , higher level tournies will allow more TM's/BM's. But for now it'll be simple.

*As soon as 16 people are signed up, we can get this started as soon as possible. Battles will be randomly decided by me. This will be a knockout tournament: 1 loss and you're out.

Correct. It's not fair if you have to choose now and the last person to sign up has the advantage. :ermm: Once the sign ups are over, everyone can look at the competition and plan which Pokemon/TM combo they think might be best.

May I also say, RSE is a pain in tournies. =\ Suhc higher stakes and having your opponent see what you're going to do is a pain. Standoffs suck. ._.

Max stats arer still used, but your Pokemon are at what evolution level they would be at if they were level ten. Also, your Pokemon can only use moves it would have learned by level ten

Isn't it a mon in level 10. You can use those and others that evolve at level 10 and under. But if you use a mon that is evolved and evolved at a level higher than ten then it is made to fit in these rules.

Send to me, with subject as [Lv10Tourney], your two Pokemon and the 1 TM or 1 Breeding Move to use on each. Once I have everyone's, I will start a new thread for round 1, listing pairings and such. If someone takes too long to send to me, I'll use the next sub to take his/her place.

I just realized something, with all the Pokemon I have there isn't much of a variety of moves that can be learned at level 10. Out of all my mons the best move I could think of would be Sandstorm. But in order for it to not harm me I'd have to use Beldum which can only lear Take Down. I sure hope my two mons can hold on to their @$$es in the tourney.

yeah so they will be lowest evolution at level 10.

They always will be using max stats, but mostly it will be the lowest evolution. If it evolves by a stone, or hapiness, its the first form, the lv 40 or 20 means that its still eevee, or something that evolves by a stone. The level will determine stuff in future tournaments.

Again, lv10 is only the move/evolution limit. All Pokemon are max stats like always.
