[Crossfire Chaos]

The day dawns in Surin City, it is a city that is well known for problems involving “gifted” peoples using their powers for getting what they need. The main reason for this centering of the superhuman gene here is because there is little need for travel, all needs are met inside the city boundaries, and there is little need to leave. A rough estimate is that 45% of the population of the city has the superhuman gene and it is estimated that only 1.5% of those have the gene actively running. One of the documented and most common ways to activate the gene is by severe emotional stress, other ways include science experiments or by other scientific means. (While this can also happen to a person without the gene, they usually end up dieing because the superhuman gene is not around to protect them.) Their are also various cults, gangs and science teams that feel they want superpowers too and acquire them by chanting from the ruins or an ancient book, taking illegal drugs or by constructing suits controlling power. Either way the town is filling with bad people more often now and posters and ads have been put up everywhere. A new super team is beginning to band together to fight the forces of evil. The posters tell of a warehouse recently purchased by an anonymous benefactor and how any teens that feel the need to challenge the crime in Surin need to be there at 5:00 P.M.

Rules
In addition to the regular RP rules there are some exclusive ones.
1. No Carbon Copies, (I do not want people running around with scientifically engineered adamantine skeletons that can extract and retract 3 knives like protrusions on both hands. That Is Wolverine’s gig, and also copywrited by Marvel.)
2. No Shape shifting powers, meaning you stick by the power you chose, a Telekinetic can’t suddenly control time or the entire oceans. No matter how far you twist the ability.
3. Be fair, if a person already created a character with similar powers please do not make a character with those same powers.
4. Do not overpower your character. I have the right to reject anyone who I deem “too powerful” I will state my reasons why and I may suggest limitations on your powers.

Personality: Most of the time he's quiet and very shy, but on accasions he can have often violent and destructive moodswings.
Physical Description: About 5'11 and 140lbs. He has shoulder length brown hair which is often left to do whatever it wants, and dark brown eyes.
Daily Clothing Description: Most of the time he just wears a simple black t-shirt with keans combination, occasionally he'll wear a red or black hoodie over the top in colder weather.
Costume: He wears a custom made black t-shirt and shorts, with a golden stripe down the sides and reaching over the shoulders, similar to the St. Louis Rams jersey, he also combines it with black trainers. Finally, he wears sunglasses with a golden rim and a black hat of some kind that covers his lower face, hair and ears, it has golden markings on it, similar to the Maori.
Powers: He can manipulate electric pulses
Power Source: All he needs is a small spark in the air and he can turn it into a devastating pulse of electricity, however he tends to struggle in large open spaces in dry weather.
Origin: He was born before his parents were married, and as a result was effectively the only reason that they married. He was never particularly liked by his family, and had few friends. He had had an argument with his parents one night and was sat in the field near his house, when the cat that was always pestering him came towards him, looking for a fight. He pointed at it and told it to buzz off, and it leapt for him, he swing his arm in defense, and an electric pulse shot from his hand, frying the cat in the air instantly.

Name: Samuel Redwood

Alias: Slayer

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Personality: When seen as a normal boy, Sam is a very open, and kind-hearted person. He cannot bear to see another get hurt in front of him, and will often rush to the aid of the wounded. He hates being the person who harms others, and fights ferociously for the rights of the smal and weaker ones, and is often the first person to stop a fight, or bullying from taking place. Perhaps because of all his kindness, as the Slayer, he is far from it all. As the Slayer, he is a ruthless killing machine, with no thought for other's feelings when he isdoing something important. He would rather kill one hundred innocents than let one guilty go free, as Karl Marx said, and he follows this with carefulness. Never has anyone seen the Slayer be kind, and even is he saves people, he is often rough, and rude to the people he saves.

Physical Description: Sam is reasonably tall, reaching five feet, eleven inches. He is determined to grow one last inch before he stops growing, and thus, he eats well. His skin is extremely pale, and bleached, because of hours indoors, in front of a computer screen or such. However, he does a lot of exercise as Slayer, and therefore has a rather muscular body, but not one of your ripling muscles body. Rather the very athletic type, like one of your long distance runners, with very hard abs.

Daly Clothing Description: People believe that Sam has a policy that he will wear nothing, except baggies. Therefore, all he wears are loose, nd hanging clothes, for he says that he feels much more free in them, and he looks nicer too, instead of wearing your high-waist jeans. However, one clothing piece that he never changes is the black glove on his right hand, the type that stops at his knucles. Even when he becomes the Slayer, he still has the glove on. No one knows why, though. No one, except himself. He also wears a necklace with a small diamond as a pendant.

Costume: People are positive that the Slayer is gothic. He wears complete black clothing, made from the blackest of black material, and when running through the streets of Surin City, he is nothing more than a shadow. He wears a long-sleeved, silky top. The silkiness dulls the sound, making him almost unaudible to the human ear. His pants are also silky. His top, has three red markings on them. They resemble claws markings, in blood, and are in diagonal stripes across his torso. As is custom with all humans with super powers, he wears a black cloak, amde of the same silky material, with a hood, that resembles the clothing of a Dementor from Harry Potter. He also wears padded boots to cut down on his noise. Along his belt, he has a single-sided sword, much like a Samurai's katana. Within his costume, he has a necklace, with a small diamond as a pendant

Powers: Slayer has complete control over his actions, and although he never purposely makes a mistake, there are times, when he can be distracted from one activity, and fail himself. He is most known for his incredible mind control over his hands, when he is holding his sword. His body also allows himself the enhancemtn of human powers. this means that when he jumps, he jumps higher than an average human; when he runs, he runs faster than the average human; when he hits, he hits harder than any normal human, and so on. However, when using one of this enhanced powers, he cannot use another one. For example, if he is jumping an extremely high height, he cannot punch with increased power.

Powers Source: Slayer needs nothing more than the presence of a diamond. No one knows why the diamond has such an effect on him, but it seems to be the thing.

Origin: Sam was born to Priya and Jacob Redwood, and lived his first five years of life in happiness. Priya and Jacob were the best parents that Sam could ever have wished for. They did not spoil him, yet acted kindly, and full of happiness, and when they scolded, him, they always gve him a reason why he was being yelled at. Because of this, he learnt the principles of life, very early in his life. Priya and Jacob were very religious, although they both believed in differernt religions. While Priya was a Hindu, Jacob was Christian, but they did not let this get in the way of Sam's growth, and infact, explained to him how they were different. However, because of this, Sam ended up being part of both religions, practicing both types of belifs and rituals.

However, on the night of Jacob's twenty-seventh birthday, something went horribly wrong. Sam's house had been having a big party for Jacob, and lots of people were invited. However, one of them was Jacob's old school rival. Jacob had believed that his rival, Vincent, would have forgotten the feud between them, and gotten on with life. However, he was much mistaken. The minute he had blown out the candles, and everyone cheered, Vincent pulled out a revolver, and shot Jacob in the stomache. When Sam saw his father fall to the bullet, anger welled up ithin him. He was new to the element of anger, for his parents had never caused any need for his anger, and when he felt the anger, he felt a power surge through him. His mother had been wearing a diamond necklace.

He had actually leapt off the ground, flying ten feet into the air, and coming down with a heavy blow on Vincent's head, causing the man to fall unconcious within seconds. Although Sam had been only five, it was then that he learnt of the true nature of life, and thanked both the Hindu gods, and the Christian God for giving him such amazing parents. Since then, he has been aware of his power, and has used it greatly, however, sometimes not for the right things.

He grew up for the rest of his life in misery, living in poverty, because it was bcause of his father's job that he had ben able to live in luxury. However, he never felt any anger to hatred towards his mother, and whenever he reflected the horrible life of his, the only person he could blame it one was Vincent. His only goal in life, is to fins Vincent, and kill him for what he had done to him and his family.

Personality: A geek, he is way wired with Ipods and PDAs in his pockets. He uses his intellagence to win any fight, hack any computer, or solve ay puzzle. He is also a skilled thief.(how did you think he got those ipods?) He can get in the way sometimes.

Physical Description: About 5"1 and about 102 pounds, he has a pale face and bright green eyes and dirty blonde hair. His skin is red and sunburned and he has no muscle definition. He can run at fast speeds. (NOT superhuman speeds only fast for normal as this is a quality of a theif) He eats a lot
to maintain his weight.

Daily Clothing Description: His standard wear is a white shirt, tan pants, and grey tennis shoes. He is covered with gizmos and gadgets and has sevral laptops (All macs :) )
He wears rimless glasses with lenses that are wired to his computer so he can work as he walks. He carries a belt wich he uses to hold tools.

Costume: The only changes from his normal wear is a black mask (Standard burglars wear) and leather gloves, these are simsply so no fingerprints or hair will fall any where.

Powers: He has the power of his mind, he can hack robots, open locked doors, and scan for traps. He also has two remote bots as his guards. He is a usefull member of any team, as he can clear the way for others. His only weapon other than his bots is a pocket knife. He can pick locks and steal items.

Source of powers: Nobody realy knows. Is it just that he is a geek?
He is considered superhuman becuase of his brain size and capacity.

Origin: His origin is shrouded in mytery, what is known is that his parent died when he was ten and since then he has lived on his own in a small apartment. Antoher thing to know about him is that the llast time somebody broke his laptop, he was never heard from again.

Black?

Well, black is my favourite colour, and it seemed to suit my character perfectly, or at least his alternate personality. But, yes, people are starting to like black a lot more than before. I remember a time, when people who wore black were only bike riders, or goths. Times have changed, and that was only a couple of years back...XP.

Now, for a name...perhaps something that has a second meaning, like Thorn. Thorn are relatively small, but can pack a powerful punch, same with us. Just an idea... **'

Thorn is a good name, I think it would be usable for us. But can we think of anything else small and powerfull? How about seed, a seed is small but it can grow into a mighty plant. And plus, all of our charecters are teens. Does anyone like this idea?

Yes, Seeds sound okay, but I don't find it suitable enough. Although seeds perfectly describe us, it is not a powerful enough name, and some people might take the mening differently from what we intend. I agree that Thorn is just as bad. We need to think of a name that hs double and deep meaning, but the meanings should be as clear as possible without making it blatantly obvious.

Personality: He grew up in a normal family but got in with the wrong crowd, his friends were a group of bullies who like to pick on kids who got in their way while they tried robbing stores and other places, Charles or "Char" as they called him slowly became an introvert who did things only with his group. When someone tries talking to him he tried ending the conversation as soon as possible. But ever since "the Accident" he has tried to speak more openly with others and try to be a better kid to make amends for what he did before.
Physical Description: His build isn't shabby and you can see his muscles even when he doesn't flex. He is 6'2'' and weighs 195 lb. His eyes are a dark brown. His hair is a brown color and is spiked upward.
Daily Clothing Description: His common clothes consist of a plain t-shirt and jeans.

Powers:
Entropy Projection - The ability to transform potential energy into kenetic energy (Same ability as Gambit with his cards).
Accelerated Healing - Can heal minor cuts and such injurys in seconds. Larger injurys such as broken bones take half the time then normal to heal.
Energy Blasts - He can use some of his own energy to shoot sphears or oddly shaped blasts from his hands. The bigger it is requires more enrgy to create and shoot. He usualy uses this power to shoot bullet-sized beams in rapid succession when he has no option left. He can also take energy for something or someone else to use this power.
Power Source: His Entropy Projection works by touch, if he is not touching the object he cannot transform it's potential energy. His healing works constantly around the clock and his Energy blasts require energy either from himself or from another object or person (requires contact if using another person/thing).
Origin: His gang has a huge heist one day when they invaded a mutagen factory in hopes of acquiring superpowers. Security found them as char was holding a canister of mutagenic gas in his hands and a bullet struck it releasing a cloud of the mutating drug that hit his entire body. Later another bullet struck him in the center of his hand but bounced off harmlessly. When the gas stopped spraying him he started to dash out of the building leaving his 3 dead freinds behind. He went home very freightened for his life and his mother and father conforted him and after a few days everything was settled and he was not caught, but he swore to try to be a better person and use the powers he got to protect others from the fate his freinds had shared.
Other: His Energy bullets hurt like an airsoft gun pellet would.

Control Fire: Again by using his mind, he can twist and manipulate fire to his will.
Healing: He can use herbs and spices to try to help when he feels that it is necessary.
Power Source: Control Fire: From his superhuman genes. Healing: from his dead mother.
Origin: His Family was the first effected. He was an average teen, average life, average family. Then the "Cloud" came over his home. His mother and father started to gasp for breath, and he just stood there, and watched in horror as his life came undone at the seems. The Haz. Mat. Team came in and started to search his home. He was scared, and he was angry. All of a sudden, his hands started to glow, and he started scream. It was then that the fire from inside of him started to leave his body, through his hands at whatever he touched or gestured toward. After that, he left. His home, family, life was gone. He started to stay in the shadows, and that is how he came to be.

Well I'm looking at the sign-up and I think that you might be a good role-player, however Shapeshifting into any living creature is already overpowered and i think in order to have that power you sould give up any others. Make your powers more subtle and post here and I'll accept you.

Personality: Kaze is perveted and immature. He's been like that all his life, and acts like a kid. Kaze takes nothing serious, and loves to have a pestimistic sence of humor. Sarcasm is his best friend when it comes to the most serious of moments.
Physical Description: Kaze has shaggy brown hair, which frames his soft features. His eyes are a light blue, and resemble two pools of crystaline. He has auburn peach skin, that is as smooth as velvet. He has a well toned body, but is thin.
Daily Clothing: Kaze usually wears a pair of dark blue jeans, sagging them to make them look good. A black beenie is worn on his head, allowing his hair to flow from it loosely. A loose, long-sleeve black shirt is worn with a gray shirt over it. Finishing his attire he wears a pair of grey skate boarding shoes.
Costume: Its not very much of a costum. He wears what he usually wears, but wears a black blindfold over his eyes.
Powers:
Wind/Air Control: He's able to control the wnd in the air to his content. Theres things that he can do with the wind that no one else can.
All Seeing Eyes: His eyes become red, and allows his eyes to do a variety of things. They can see in 800 different perspectives. They can analiys and see the past and future. There is a dragon emblem of black in his eyes when he does this. He can control this power.
Power Source: Kaze's wind control power comes from his superhuman gene that he's had since birth. While his seeing eyes were given to him through an ancient rune, and it was by an accident.
Origin: Kaze was born as an orphan. At birth he held great powers and his parent and family rejected him for that. He grew up being mistreated, only because of his powers. Since he was poor and an orphan, people always assumed it was him when there were things missing or happening. When he was twelve a cult kidnapped him, and was about to use him as an essential key for one of their beliefs. He was meant to be an empty shell, used to give them ultimute power. Instead it backfired killing them all, and giving him the all seeing eyes, that he was able to control when they appear or not. After a year, his powers developed and he now has complete control. Living on the streets, training. He uses his power to help people every now and then, but he only lives for himself.
Other: Kaze always carries around a skateboard.
