View Full Version : Suggestion: Aim Subtests
I am aware AIM ref tests are very difficult, and that is why they are held on the forum. I do, however, feel that they are necessary. Personally, when I reffed my first AIM battle, I did a horrible job, Phoenix could have told you that if he remembered it.
I'm suggesting an AIM test be mandatory, but not pass or fail, just to give the ref-in-training an idea of what it's like to ref when they do not have a day to come up with the results.

Reftests generally are on AIM already, unless the person who is tested doesn't have AIM or is impatient.

Ref tests are supposed to be on AIM. Forum ref tests just scream cheating, but hey, since there are people pathetic enough to not have messengers, there are certainly people pathetic enough to cheat.
AIM ref tests are certainly not harder than Forum ref tests, just like how AIM battles are much easier than Forum Battles. They get done in 25 minutes instead of 25 days.
I don't know how did you pass your ref test if you have difficulty reffing a battle, but hey, life's good now that we have a shortage of active refs.

I agree. If a ref test is done on the forum, then the person can take 30 minutes figuring the stats out before posting. They need to take no more than three minutes on an AIM battle. But if a person takes the forum test, they take as lo9ng as they please, and when they actually have to ref an AIM battle, they take forever, and make a lot of mistakes.

Bolt the only way you can cheat is if you asked someone else for help.
Also the question answer test. There should be 3 forms.
Form A- Basic Ref Test
Form B- Ref Test For those who did poorly on Form A. Bit Harder
Form C- Hardest Test From both complies all possiblities and if the test taker does not pass he/she must wait a month before askign for a test.
You need 80% or higher inorder to pass Form A.
75% for Form B
70% for From C

Why make it harder when the person who failed the Basic ref test?

So they go back and re-read and study again.
This makes sure that they are studing and know their materials.
All ref battles aren't easy like tackle then scracth. They should know that flamer can burn and burn reduces attack. thunder is 100% acc during rain.

There isn't a hardness level for ref tests, dude. If someone passed an easier test, that means he won't know how to ref the "harder" parts of the "harder" test. Seriously, just stick to the one we have now.
