The Double Team Tournament

Hi!
This is an idea for a tournament. It's a doulbe-trainer battle. I need permission to start it. (Harry Kim gives permission to this tournament)


Rules
2 Pokémon per trainer. The same pokémon aren't allowed
4 vs. 4, Stadium, for regular matches, with no item.
4 vs. 4, Stadium for the final, with one item per trainer.


Prizes
-A basic pokémon for each winning trainer
-20,000 Dollars for the winners of the tournament


Entrance Requirements
-Each entering trainer must have a partner and at least 6 pokemon.
-Only 16 trainers are allowed to enter. The first ones have priority.


Date of Tournament
The tournament will be held as soon as possible. As for the battles, the oppossing teams will choose their own dates.

Sorry to say this, I appreciate all your support for holding this tournament, but don't you think it might be a better idea to hold it a little later? A lot of people have a nasty month of final exams coming up, and school is still in session and reaching it's toughest period, right before school closes. I usually thought these tournaments were held during the summer so that it would be eaiser for people to partake in them.

Well, that's just my belief. Whether you agree or not, that's your opinion, but it would be something to consider. I hope you understand, I don't mean to offend anyone here.

ya, i must agree that the timing couldn't be worse. we've slowed down right now and this tournament isn't going to pull people automatically back. i was hoping to run this for summer when people can be available more.
also, 16 pairs or 16 total people?
and why not make a twist at the end. the winning team battles their partner with the Pokemon used and the winner of that battle can choose a legendary instead of the regular Pokemon. just a thought.
lastly, the Pokemon we register with... those are the ONLY Pokemon we are able to use?
finally, since it's doubles, what about Earthquake? what are the exact rules cause i already see flaws.

I'm leaving all may to find a partner, and all summer to have the battles. It shouldn't take more than 2 hours each battle, so it will not interfere with exams, it's not THAT MUCH time.

Yes, you'll have to use them for all the tournament.
finally, since it's doubles, what about Earthquake? what are the exact rules cause i already see flaws.
Omegamiko will further provide a link for all the moves that hit both opponents, or even the partner; earthquake hits everypokemon but the user. It's the same rules as the R/S, or pokémon colluseum. In the meanwhile:
Trainer A sends Pokémon A, Trainer B sends pokemon B, Trainer C sens pokemon C, trainer D sends pokemon D.
Pokemon A faints pokemon C, in that EXACTLY MOMENT trainer C has to send the next pokemon (E), then the other attacks will hit. If Pokemon B was going to hit pokémon C, he will hit pokemon E instead (like if it was switched). If there are no further pokemon when C fainst, Pokémon B attack will hit pkemon D.

The official refering method for this tournament is the BATTLE CALCULATOR.
I've modified it, so it's easier to understand. I also added the pokémon stats and the attacks in the same document, so you don't have to surf.
Please give me your e-mail (Refs), and I'll send it to you.
It doesn't calculate hit percent, so please be ready for anything.
