Actually MM, I think Bulbasaur is... MAY's! There is an episode coming up about Bulbasaur's and afterall, Bulbasaur was on her side. I can't believe Torchic will evolve! I wonder if it will ever become a Blaziken?!

Also, Ash is due to get his Bulbasaur transferred to him from Professor Oak's, but more than likely it'll be transferred back at the end of the ep!

According to the Japanese summary, Ash has Bulbasaur transferred to him so it can help May's Bulbasaur settle into the team.

While I am glad that Ash has had one of his old Pokemon sent to him, I hope it doens't stay. For one thing, Bulbasaur and Grovyle would be exactly like when he had Bulbasaur and Bayleef, and there was the whole 'starting fresh' angel.

Anyway, we'll see next week what happens!

I don't understand the direction for May, why in Hoenn must she have 'an Indigo Pokemon?' Also in the contests, why does May enter a different Pokemon? If a Pokemon gets framed in Lillicove, on the game, your Pokemon must win all 4 events and score high in Lillicove to be framed, yet May is entering 'a different Pokemon per event.' This is another example of bad script writing if they don't know what to do with May. May needs battle skills or we'll see TA and TM take over Pokemon. Ash cannot stand out to a full onslaught against Archie AND Maxie in the battle.

Ok, a couple of questions, I'll try to answer as best I can:

1 - I think the purpose of May getting Bulbasaur is to advertise Fire Red and Leaf Green in Japan, given that it's just come out in Japan

2 - We've learned that sometimes things happen differently in the Anime regarding the Contests. First, there aren't any ranks in the Anime contests. Second, May entering different Pokemon is obviusly so May can showcase all her Pokemon's abilities (besides Torchic at the moment since she uses that for battles). Third, if May trained her Pokemon for battles, then she'd be no different from Ash, and the last thing we need is another Ash. I think entering contests is a good idea for May.

Also, I'm sure when Ash does face TM and TA, he'll be able to handle them!

Can anyone tell me the episode name when May obtains the Bulbasaur?

You know, there something really interesting about Bulbasaur. I mean, the trainer from the episode "Pallet Town, the setting off of a trainer," selected Bulbasaur as his starter. Both May and Ash have one as well. It appears that a majority of the 'major' trainers (Not including Brock and Misty, Yet Those Who Are Setting Out On Their Own Journey), are somehow connected to a Bulbasaur.

Well, it is old, I agree, but however, the last updated Pokemon was like over 4 months ago or something so it takes a long time when Pokemon is only on everY Saturday and not on twice. Maybe this should be a sticky, if it hasn't been already.
