Something weird on website/forum

Wherever there is the link or word "Sapphire" ..it becomes a link and if you highlight it, it says "click here to bid on jewelry at 90% off retail price at Bidz.com" and also, it highlights yellow on the background and is underlined.


EDIT: Look at what i typed...sapphire became a link as shown above

That used to happen to me too, before I got my computer reformatted. I think it was because of the spyware on my computer. I'm not saying that's it for sure, but it is a pretty good possibility.

I had that problem too before, it's actually a spyware that's common, pretty easy to get rid of too though with Ad-Aware or Spybot.

WTF :evil: !!!!! Now I have this prob :evil: !!!! Every time somthing like GBA, Nintendo, Pokemon GBA, or stuff like that comes up on a site, ANY site (Pokemon zeo, playalongtoys, serebii net, HERE!) A gold bar apears under the word and when you highlight it a box pulls down and Tells you to buy something STUPID :dazed: !!!!! Now, if deleting this Spything helps I gotta a qustion, is the program inportent for any thing :rolleyes: ? And what if my comp doesn't have this program :eh: ? I guess if it does and if I delete it maybe IE'll stop throing C*** on my desktop! I guess I'll talk to my Dad if ppl can't help here :think: .

1. It would help if ppl would check there post before posting it:I had that problem too before, it's actually a spyware that's common, pretty easy to get rid of too thRough with Ad-Aware or Spybot.
2. I'm not coming back here till this spyware is gone!
3. I was wondering, I'm gonna use spybot, it says that it jest goes ahead and removes all files with spyware in it. Does it mean "I have hundreds of more importent than life its self information stored on this comp, if one of my importent files has a spyware attched to it, will the whole file be deleted?" or "It goes through all your files and when it finds one with spyware it removes jest spyware from that file, sorta like my files are a carpet and some got dirt on it and spybot's the vacume cleaner and it jest sucks up the dirt?". If someone with lots of images on there computer that had spyware and used "Spybot", go through tham and please note to me if any are missing? or are jest gone? please post a reply ASAP!

I'm back :biggrin: ! Ok, heres the scoop. First of all the gold bar is not a "spyware" but its "adware", the difference between the two? Spyware steal your private information :susp: , Adware jest downloads millions of adds to your computer :doh: . luckily I only had Adware, but I chose not to go with Spybot. ppl said the free download is a bit messed up, and even though the one you buy is not, it cost 99$! (Also Spybot tells you that a lot of Good spyware should be deleted. Yes, theres good spyware, you need it for certain products to work. I have Comet Cursors which runs on adware). So my parents got McAfee, but, it won't protect AOL e-mail :dazed: ! I does protect the Internet jest not the e-mail, so I set it up to protect my Hotmail address that I give out everywhere. I was surprised that I didn't have more junk on this comp than there was (I guess that from my habit that I have been going to basically the same sites for about 4-5 years, some even longer! like here :silly: .). There was one that was really bad that was called favorite man that was my IE problem that every time I set a home page it kept on sending me to a really bad search site that wouldn't stop throughing c*** on my desktop :evil: ! Any way, I'm hoping things'll be better now, and I hate to say it but most of the adware on my comp.... was from here :confused: !

Smart guy... :rolleyes: It's because Comet Cursors installs ADWARE on your computer, that's why it's a bad program. Remove it, and don't ever think those cursors thingeys help you: Most don't. However fancy they may be(They lag up your computer quite badly, I don't recommend'em), adware is one heck of an annoyance.
