I'm here to ref as Gold has requested.

First of all, no rituals? Heh? What's that all about?

Gold, you can't summon a monster in face-up defense mode. It's either face up attack or face down defense mode.

Also Gold, you can't switch the mode of a monster that you just summoned...

*Succubus Knight is still in attack mode*

That's all for now...

I don't like them

You can summon a monster face up in defense. You just can't summon a monster face DOWN in ATTACK.

Also Gold, you can't switch the mode of a monster that you just summoned...
you're right, sorry.

Draws card

Plays trap master in defense mode.
Atk/500
Def/1100
effect:When flipped or destoyed, destroy one trap on the field.

Plays magic card trap hole, which destroys 1 monster with 1000 or more atk to destroy 7 colored fish

Attacks zero's life points directly with succubus knight
Gold=8000lp
Zero=8000lp-1600

sorry for the half-hearted reply but I'm tired.

Zero=8000lp-1600
This never happened. Trap hole is a trap card, so when it's conditions are met (Me summoning a monster) THEN, it will activate, but since it's your turn, there's no way I could posibly summon a monster, so Trap hole's effect is void., making the only valid thing in your turn the summoning of Trap Master.

So I believe it's my turn. *Draws card.*

I'll set one monster FD and end my turn.

Okay. There should be some confirmation of rulings to begin with.

Are you guys playing by the tourney rules, aside from the ritual thing?
Next, if you can't use ritual cards, can you use ritual monsters? If so, would it be only by special summon (like via mon. reborn only), or can it be normal summoned as usual (like tributes and stuff).

I think you should kinda just answer this befor continuing, gold, because this would help Zammy to ref. :)

*yes, we are playing by the battlecity rules and nothing to do with rituals*
*draws card and smiles evilly*
I shall now sacrifce both my creatures in order to summon Dark magician!
Atk/2500
Def/2100
I shall now attack your seven coloured fish!
Zero:8000lp-700

You've tried to destroy my fish twice, but neither try worked.

*Flips over FD card, Magic Cylinder.*

What this trap does is negate your Magician's attack, and send directly back at your Life Points!

Gold's LP: 5500

Now it's my turn.

*Draws Card.*

Excellent. First, I'll play Harpie's Feather Duster from my hand to destroy your M/T cards!

*Golds M/T cards are swept away by the feather.*

I'll Sacrifice my two Monsters, 7 Colored Fish and my FD defense card to summon Jinzo to the feild!

*On the feild, the Fish and the horizontal Face Down card disapear in a flash of light, and Jinzo appears in their place.*
-----------------
Jinzo[Level 7]
[Machine/Effect]
Effect: As long as this card remains face up on the feild, All trap Cards cannot be activated. The effects of all face up Trap Cards are also negated.
[ATK:2400/DEF:1500]
-----------------

I will now activate FD card Raigeki to destroy your Magician.

*Gold's Dark Magician is struck down by lightning.*

Now I'll have Jinzo attack you directly!

*Jinzo attacks Gold. Gold's Life Points: 3100.*

My turn is over.

I knew there was something wrong about that post. Oh well I'll just put my Face Down monster back since I don't feel like going back and re-calculating the damage.

What a brilliant move.
*draws card*
I play three magic cards!
Swords of revealing light and fissure!
to destroy your jinzo and you now cannot attack or defend with any monsters!
and I'll just lay this last card face down.
Next i'll summon celtic gardian and have him attack your Life points directly!

You've forgotten about my Face Down monster (I made a mistake with Jinzo's level *6*, so I put back a monster, you need to pay more attention.) I will now flip the card over in response to your attack and reveal the Mystical Elf.
(ATK:800/DEF:2000)

Celtic Gaurdian: 1400 ATK vs. Mytical Elf: 2000 DEF
2000 - 1400 = 600.
600 Reflected damage to Gold's Life Points. *2500*

*Draw's Card.*

Interesting. I'll play one Monster Face Down and end my turn.

I sacrifice my celtic gardian in order to play the laberinth wall in attack mode (Atk/0 Def/3000) and activate my face down magic card! Ragieki!
Now half your life points are sapped away from you and added to my monster's ATTACK!
Atk/4000 def/3000

DESTROY THE MYSTICAL ELF!

What the (flip)?!?!?!

Can you please explain that, because I thought Raigeki destroyed all the monsters on my side of the feild, not take away half my life points and give them to your monster. Come to think of it, I don't think there's even a card with that effect.

gold
05-16-2004, 06:49 PM
Well, that's what it says on the card.
man, that is wierd.
I think the one you're talking about is raigeki
Mine is rageiki.

Okay then.... *LPs: 4000.*

*Draws card.*

I don't know if this is going to work, but... I'll flip summon my Face Down card, Man-Eater bug.

---------------------------
Man-Eater Bug [Level 2]
[Insect/Effect]
Effect: FLIP: Destroy 1 monster on the feild.
[ATK:450/DEF:600]
---------------------------

Of course, it's target will be your Labyrinth Wall. Now to put my plan into action. I'll sacrifice my bug to play Summond Skull.

---------------------------
Summoned Skull [Level 6]
[Feind/Effect]
(Not important)
[ATK:2500/DEF:1200]
---------------------------

Now I will attack you with Summoned Skull to do exact damage to your Life Points.

I think he's referring to a card called Raiyumi or someting like that. I'm not completely sure on the actual text on the card itself, tho.

*sigh* No, Gold...you can't summon in face-up defense mode. I'm certain. You can only summon in either face up attack or face down defense. Period.

He's talking about the card Riryoku (a.k.a. Force), which halfs a monsters attack, and adds it to your own monster for one turn.

okay thanks. I knew there was something like that in YGO. lol

O and official rules you can't do that. But the anime Yugi does it multiple times (face up def. mode). Obviously the anime is stupid, but still.
