I can't seem to log on to the boards when I'm on AOL, but it says I'm logged on. And when I leave the boards, I'm not logged on anymore, especially since I have the "Remember me" box checked. What's going on?

Same here, it keeps logging me out. Pfft, I don't like this new link.

I know how you feel. I hope we don't have to keep doing this.

Blah, it's doing the same thing to everyone... At least it doesn't prevent you from posting, but it is seriously annoying.

I feel like I have to log on every two minutes. It's extremely annoying, I've never had to do this so many times before...

And the "Remember Me" checkbox seems to do nothing...

PE2K, can you fix whatever is doing this? I hate having to sign on every time I visit the board...

You have to fix this (flippin') problem. Every time I try to post something long I have to re-log in and it loses it so I have to start typing again!!! FIX THE PROBLEM NOW!!! (Sorry for my rudeness, but this problem is getting on my (flippin') nerves.)

And this is probably the main reason why I haven't been coming here for the last two days... -_- I'm tired of typing my password... It's just too long...

It won't work for long, I'm sorry to say. I switched the empireirc.net domain to point at this server again due to the amount of irritated people.

The pokemonelite2000.ma.cx domain has been in action for a few weeks, and the need to use it has been known over the last week- I thought Ryan had changed it.

I apologize, I'll move the empireirc.net domain when the new address has been configured.

O___O

:eh:

Wait, how can a single forum possess two URLs? .__. Um.. they both contain a different amount of posts, right? Oh my gosh, nani?!! O___O They don't?! How the...? What the...? What? How? No way! @__@ That's just weird... You make a forum database on a domain... then... how can it be on two hosts?!!

*falls on the ground and yells like Watanabe from Excel Saga when Hyatt died* This doesn't make any freaken' sense!!!

They're on the same server, just two different hostnames (the hostnames resolve to the same IP).

This forum software, like most, has two layers. The files and the database. They can be on two completely different servers, though the one you connect to is the one which has the files.

Don't worry if you didn't understand any of that... it's technical. :silly:

Ah! No, no, it makes perfect sense to me. kind of... :eh: I just didn't think that forums were made like that... So if you run out of bandwidth on your hostname, you won't really lose the posts? Pretty cool...

As TRO has mentioned, the empireirc.net address will no longer work. Those that use that URL will soon see a page redirecting them to the new URL. The reason why you can't stay logged in with the new URL is because I need to change a setting on the forum. Here's what will happen: when the empireirc.net URL doesn't work anymore, the settings on the forum will change so that hte new URL will work. If I change it now, everyone will be getting this problem with the current URL, not able to stay logged in. So, that is why, the setting will be changed when the URL is changed.

The new URL will just work the same, it's just that TRO didn't know that a setting change needs to be made when using the new URL (now he knows). So don't worry, the new URL will work fine, just keep using the http://www.empireirc.net/pokemonelite2000/ URL for now until it redirects you to the new URL.
