My mum was bullied at school for years, and what annoys her is how bullies can destroy your self-confidence, and find it funny. :(

I've been bullied. It was not a nice experience. I wasn't bullied like others can be, I was never injured. Probably because I go to Karate, and when one of them did kick me, I kicked her in the stomach. Hard. She cried, and never tried to hurt me again.

Nah, they affected me other ways. Took away anybody who could be friends with me. We had this project, and my half friend Nikki had promised to go with me, But she was also friends with the bullies, who came over and said that I couldn't go with them. I had to find another group. That sort of thing, small things that cut deep. They wouldn't include me in any of the games, which would really hurt my feelings. Thankfully, I had my sister and so I just stuck with her. I still made friends, but they weren't in my class. I'm one of the luckier ones, it hasn't destroyed my self confidence. But that was because I had friends, albeit only ones I saw at break and Lunch.

What my understanding of the matter is: The really bad bullies wo beat people up, do that to make themselves feel better. Because at home they have horrible lives, and the only way to make themselves feel powerful, confident, is to pick on others.

I don't why some people do it, though. Like my bullies. Perhaps it was just because I was the new girl, fresh from a private school with a different accent. Thankfully, they didn't ruin my time at the school. I had perfectly good fun. There were times, though, when I just wanted to cry.

I'm bullied, mainly on the forum. Geeks are the first ones punched, always. In real life, I get laughed at for buying ten sided dice. I just avoid people if they bully me, I realy don't have any way to fight back. Groups=Safety, you've got to remember that there's safety in numbers. groups can fight back if they try, and maybe wound the attacker. This works on the forum in a sense, single members are more likely to be bullied then a club of fifty or so. Bullies can't hurt you online. There is always a place to run to on the web. In real life, you're being chased by somebody twice your size. The ultimate bully protection is to seek an official, but that is usualy reserved for a last resort.

I used to be bullied in elementary school. But in 3rd grade ever since I hit that in the balls. I started fighting back.

Now I just fight back, :/..... I used to bully other when I stared 5th grade also, I used to take there money and stuff..... I didnt stop until I was in 9th grade. (4 years running)

I also feel ashamed, by getting my first game boy from beating up this rich kid.

Agreed. Before, they played on my anger, I had not been bullied before and responded by outright rage. Which they thought hilarious. *rolls eyes* Now, I have my anger in check and have developed my own ways of fighting back, something that enfuriates them to no end, with something they can't prove. I was never beat up or anything physical but I was horribly outcasted by the 'cool' and 'popular' kids. This is 5th and 6th grade, my first years in a public school. I was made fun of for the clothes I wore: awkward collared shirts and slender jeans. I was only allowed to wear a t-shirt and shorts on fridays. It didn't help that I was naturally smarter than them too, coming from a Private school and all.

I think because of this, Junior High is when I started standing up for myself and being a stronger person: independent. Not afraid of people. I could easily talk around them. Plus all my elementary buddies went to another school so it's like I was starting over, again. :rolleyes: And as odd as it was, I was the only 7th grader that the 8th graders let play football with during lunch.

Bullies are bullies because they think they are better than other people. And it's easy to pick on people that are different than themselves.

I was never bullied, mainly because I just tried to make friends with everybody in school. Some of my friends started bullying others, which I didn't like, so I decided to stop it...with my fists. lol I just know we both ended up in the principals office, him bleeding all over.

In school I was, not to sound conceited or anything, part of the "popular" crowd. People knew who I was when I hadn't even seen them before. I guess everyone went through puberty by the time we reached High School, so their maturity kicked in. Still, we had some bullies here and there, and even if someone who I didn't know was picked on, I would be there to back them up.

Thing is, bullies need REAl friends. They act that way because the THINK picking on others makes them "cool", which it doesn't. They just need attention and the only way they know how to is pick on others. But they come around...eventually. :wink:

I've disregarded the fourth grade incident, but this year, it seems to be BOYS making fun of me. Same here, I've only really been bullied once when I was like 11 or 12. He had bullied me for a long time and I couldn't take it anymore, I punched him right in the stomach, he cried and has been afraid of me ever since. I think one reason I don't get bullied is, well for one I don't go to public school (I'm homeschooled) and two, I'm big, like 6' 2" 240 lbs big, and our football coach loves my size. (I'm one of the biggest guys on our team, everyone else is small and fast.)

I've been bullied. It was not a nice experience. I wasn't bullied like others can be, I was never injured. Probably because I go to Karate, and when one of them did kick me, I kicked her in the stomach. Hard. She cried, and never tried to hurt me again.

Nah, they affected me other ways. Took away anybody who could be friends with me. We had this project, and my half friend Nikki had promised to go with me, But she was also friends with the bullies, who came over and said that I couldn't go with them. I had to find another group. That sort of thing, small things that cut deep. They wouldn't include me in any of the games, which would really hurt my feelings. Thankfully, I had my sister and so I just stuck with her. I still made friends, but they weren't in my class. I'm one of the luckier ones, it hasn't destroyed my self confidence. But that was because I had friends, albeit only ones I saw at break and Lunch.

What my understanding of the matter is: The really bad bullies wo beat people up, do that to make themselves feel better. Because at home they have horrible lives, and the only way to make themselves feel powerful, confident, is to pick on others.

I don't why some people do it, though. Like my bullies. Perhaps it was just because I was the new girl, fresh from a private school with a different accent. Thankfully, they didn't ruin my time at the school. I had perfectly good fun. There were times, though, when I just wanted to cry.

Those things are pretty damn sharp, though.
Only stupid people use a weapon against someone, when you do that, they'll come back with a stronger and bigger weapon.

I fight alot, so I know them crap, but I don't kill~_~.

Fighiting Advice-
-One punch knock out or knock down, don't let the guy you're fighting get up.
-Don't hit girls for no F***ING reason or for any reason unless they pulled gun or knife on you.
-Don't use weapons to fight them, they'll come back with a bigger, badder weapon, if you use weapon, make sure you hurt the guy badly.
-Don't hit with fist or knuckle, your whole arm gonna get bad injuries after a day or two after the fight.
-Hit with your elbow(s), you won't get injuries by hitting people like that.
-Don't threat the guy you're fighting with a weapon. If you want to do that, just stab or shoot, etc. the guy.

I have been bulied. Actually I still am being bullied. I have been hurt mentally rather than phisicly though. Being called names is not nice I can tell you, espesily when teachers wont do a thing. It has been a year, and nothing has changed, only worsened.

@Zigzangoose - you should try to stay as far away as possible , and try to hang out whith someone big or a family memeber that would stick up for you. Sounds useless but it worked for my sister.:rolleyes:
