What Pokemon do l start with?

It all depends on personal preference. I chose Treecko because I personally am a big fan of grass types and it is a good choice vs. the first gym.

Go with Mudkip. In the end, Swampert ha the type. Water/Ground mean you are immune to electricity, and your only weakness is grass.

i choose treecko for the looks and really he [to me] is best in emerald stat wise and he is best for the elite four but he will have a rough begining for sure

I recomend mudkip as he's good against gyms 1,3,4 and alright against no.2.
but that is me speaking and i hardly even use starters for that long anyway. by gym 4/5 i usually have good pokemon other than the starter and never use it again.

Honestly, I think that there were so many starter discussins, that there either needs to be a closed sticky about them (like Celebi Said), banning of further starther discussion, or both. I think we all get the point here, so the only one that can help us now is a mod...
