Is Gligar worthless or could he make a decent sweeper?

Isn't grass attacks not very effective 2 flying.Well no Gligar is worthless.If you want a good sweeper get Marowak or something like that.

i know its not the best but what is its main,overall weakness(es)? if it could rest and have some decent moves (flamerthrower, hyper beam, etc) well hey it might not be too bad

Gligar is a worthless pokemon. Its status is very low. Its not even stronger than a Cacnea. Use pokemon like Crobat.

Crobat does not stink.
He has awesome speed and decent HP and defenses.

The only thing I could see Gligar as would be a tank, seeing his only good stat is defense, and average speed.

Yes. He gets Swords Dance, STAB Earthquake and has the defense to actually setup a few Swords Dances. He could work. He's not spectacular though. Then again, he's not complete garbage either. He's somewhere in the middle; usable, but you'd have to work.
