also i would get chikorata because in collosuem if you start with todotile you can catch quilava (evolve form of cyndaquil) and trade and have all 3

It doesn't mean that after 8192 times you'll find a shiny. It can be in those 8192.

yes but your just as likely to get it on the 1st try as you are on the 8192nd try :wink: theoretically it could take you millions and billions of tries

hatching is easier, have the egg with you, save every 2 mins, every 1 min, every 30 secs, every 30 steps every 10 steps and when it hatches 10 steps after you saved when its not shiny reset and walk ten steps

No he means save just before yo get te starter. Then turn it off if its not shiny. Turn it back on until shiny
