i went into altering cave with my lv 60 smeargle holding exp share and trained it with some of my lv 100s, when it gained a lvl after beating like 5000 zubats it gained a whopping 3 speed point!? shouldnt it gain more like 10? thx for the help

The EV point might be maxed.Check for the ribbon.I made max +13 hp to my venusaur so far and it wasn't like 5000 zubats.

ok but its speed is at 135 so i dont think its maxed, also if my lv100 pkmn holds mahco brace and smeargle hold exp share does smeargle get x2 EVs?

I don't think so.
You can't max every stat.You max EV points.You might have given it to other stats.

The values assigned to each of a Pokemon's six stats that determine how high or low the stat will be. They cannot be changed in any way.

It is possible that the DVs of your Smeargle aren't good, or that you accidentally got some other EVs on him somewhere.

It's the ribbon. That girl in Slateport gives you an effort ribbon if the first kon in your party has max ev's(effort values).

Because it is somewhat trained, that's probably your problem.

And, the Effort ribbon means that you can no longer gain any more EV's at all.

Smeargle can be a good Baton Passer or teach it Mind Reader and Fissure. It's kind of cheap. But Smeargle doesn't have good stats. Its highest is Speed, but it can't go above 300. Anyways, if your Smeargle has the Effort Ribbon, you're Smeargle's EVs are screwed.
You should raise another one.

smeargle owns blissey cuz if you think on a common smeargle moveset and common blissey moveset then...

smeargle

spore/sub
mean look
mind reader/lock on
sheer cold

blissey

softboiled
seismic toss
thunder wave/toxic
aromatherapy/counter

now since smeargle puts blissey to sleep/subs then uses mean look blissey cant do any damage and even if she could it would take 3 seismic tosses to take down smeargle

Mew can't learn every move, it can learn every TM, HM, and Move Tutor Move, huge difference.

I know, Mew does though, how many hours is Chicago (I'm in a +10hour time zone, Japan is in +9 etc.)

.....because you only have 510 EVs to use. If I wasted my EVs, I'd start over. The choice is yours really. In my opinion, if Smeargle's speed is maxed, it is okay. Otherwise, I'd start over with a new one. Hopefully, You had a jolly/timid Smeargle.
