Team Nox

Nox is a Team dedicated to those who favor Dark, Ghost, or, occassionally, Poison Type Pokemon. But, although we prefer the cover of Darkness, not all of us are "Evil".


History
Nox was set up as a WAR Team by Nohman, at the original PE2K. Nox was, and is, the only Dark Team around, yet after some time, Nox disbanded. Later however, following the start of the Second WAR, Nohman reformed Nox, recruiting new members faster than expected. Not long afterwards, Kamon joined the Team, and was eventually chosen for a Co-leader candidate, then the Co-Leader himself.
Nox tried it's best to win the WAR, but since it had a late start, it was a little tougher than normal. It seemed more people joined, towards the end of the WAR, including NP, and Raik. However, not long after Nox had gained its 30th member, the PE2K Forums were deleted, thus Nox was restarted once again.
This time round, Nox, along with all it's members, shall do all it can to prevail during the WAR; but if we happen to go down, "We'll give them hell before we do!"- NP

After Nox had begin to re-establish itself as a true WAR Team Nohman resigned from his position as Team Leader sometime before the 3rd WAR Season. Upon his resignation Kamon was placed in command of Team Leader, with Neo Pikachu being immediately promoted to the new Co-Leader.

As stated, Nox is a Team for people who favor Dark, Ghost, or Poison Pokemon. We don't have Team RolePlays, contests, or any other events that other Teams try to entice members with. Instead, Nox is a community; we talk to each other about anything and everything, helping each other with problems, or just giving help about general things. It is this helpful community of members that makes Nox what it is. However, don't let our friendliness fool you; in WAR, we take no prisoners.

Team Community:
Unlike other Teams Nox does not have ranks. If you are a helpful member then others will know it, without having to read whether you are an "Elite", or "Rookie". Every Noxian is equal, with Neo and myself making decisions for the Team as a whole, dependant on others opinions. What you do on the Team is not restricted, as long as you always try your best at whatever you set out to do.

If you're intrested in joining Nox, then be sure to mention your Name, and Age, in your post.

Thanks Marco. I went nuts when I finaly got my computer back and tried to get on Pe2k and couldent. I thought the site had gone down! it did twice. On the old fourm all the data exploded. Then we had to move to another fourm. The server broke in two weeks. Which brings us here.

Okay, well Pichu is cool probably doesn't know about the war and the fact you can only join one war team, so don't go pointing the finger of blame at him just because he didn't know that. There was a time when the bunch of us didn't know that either.

NP, i agree with Marco on this one. People do have certain styles that they like, and certain styles they dislike. Most people are happy with a lot of different styles however, but the point is, don't change your styles for anyone; make banners how you like to make them.

There are always likers and dislikers for everything, since nothing is perfect. Don't worry about what the dislikers say; think about what the likers say.n Keep makin' Banners NP, cause you're banners are great IMO.

Actually I've already worked with Director 8.5, which creates Shockwave movies. I'd show you some of it, but it's very memory intensive, and it lags up the computer everytime I watch it.

Well, if you're not confident about your URPG teams, there's still time to get more Pokemon and get them going. But, if you still don't think you can handle it, just don't join battles that are War. Last thing you want is other teams getting the points and getting War points because of it...

Team Trainer's strong point is in the URPG, because they have swarms of people armed with 15 Pokemon or more to choose from and have armed them to the teeth with TM's. If you're not sure what the outcome will be, don't go for it. Unless you're really sure you stand a chance against them, don't even touch it. Last thing we want is Traner raking in points like they did last time.

Creative Writing is another thing Trainer excels at. I've noticed poems are usually liked better than essays, and second, there's no risk involved in writing a poem, it doesn't even take that long. Third, you're better off posting last than posting first and giving ideas for people behind you how to write something more fancy and better than yours. Wait for them to hurry and post, and then you post something better than what they did. And fourth, there's nothing stopping Nox from having everyone on the team submit one entry. If we do that, we greatly increase our chances of getting the point.

I can understand why you wouldn't want to write a fic, first point being that they're very long and take a lot of time to write. Second point being that if you're younger, you probably don't have as much experience writing as older members do. HKim's Alternate is a tough story to go up against, its very well written and very detailed. I'm sure that there are others who write just as well. But, if you do decide to go into this, just remember that description, originality, and storyline are key here. Also, beware of spelling and grammar mistakes. writing the story first in MS Word and then posting here will help. MS Word will usually catch all the spelling and grammar mistakes so you can correct them.

Debating isn't actually that hard. The more you submit, the greater the chances are of us getting the point, if they have one for the week. Take one side, even if it isn't exactly what you beleive in, but first see things that they opposing person would see. Counter these with other points of your own. Of course, I've never actually won a point here, so I can't really say anything. I'm just saying what I've been taught to do.

RP is... actually what I think is the hardest (Besides the URPG). Syrus used to gather a lot of points from this but he isn't here anymore, which leaves a window of oppertunity. As far as RP's go, just think of your favorite RPG games and take the same formating and try to model it for your RP's. The Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Master guide actually has a good description of what a RPG is:

The player adots the role of a character and then guides that character through an adventure. The player makes decisions, interacts with other characters and players, and, essentially, "pretends" to be his character during the course of the game. Whenever the character is called on to do something or make a decision, the player pretends that he is in that situation and chooses and appropriate course of action.

Basically, if you're creating the RP, you need to think of something that is beyond unique and original. Create an environment with a lot of background and descrption. Maybe even throw in your own battle system, who knows? The more effort that is placed into this, the better the chances you'll get recognized for it.

Well, I hope after reading all that you get some ideas.

Don't worry ya people, I can deal with teh URPG solo well. I just need to get on more, and actually get the patience to finish/start writing a story. Some of the Team Trainer URPG kids don't stand no chance on me(They've been raking in new members liek wtf). TMA stands like no chance now, with the departure of Syrus and Daniella, with a missing Allie and SK. They're practically not a challenge(no offense to TMA members reading this) now, Flora isn't much with their people seldom participating in the war. Mechamagma's missing, Triblade's lost in space, Aqua-frost's dead, Elite's set up for War 3. So that leaves us against Trainer. We need to take part in wherever they can't, like Debate.

Since it's summer when the next war starts, I have an awesome chance of coming online a lot, so beating up people at the URPG won't be much of a problem. I'm wondering if somebody could give me some help at the URPG, like trade me some mons or something? I'm offering a Blaziken with TM EQuake and TM Aerial Ace for something that doesn't need any training, something like Heracross or some evolved mons.

I'll be dong some CW as well, but no gurantee I'll win anything. I think I'll give a shot at RP, since Daniella, SK and Syrus is missing from the threat. They still have bron, HKim and some other strong RPers, but if we work hard enough, we'd beat them.

We should make a duties list, like who's doing what section.

Really, for training, we should battle other Nox members, so that if we get new URPG Pokemon, the other Teams would most likely not know about them until he actual WAR (Unless they saw the thread, or reffed a battle of yours)... Really, it'd be better off if one of the Nox members were a Ref, so then all Nox members could battle, and earn money... Right now, i only have a Tyranitar, and about 8000 (I should really post my stats lol)... I might get another TM, or another Pokemon, which i could raise by battling other people...

I'm also a good writer, but i have trouble starting off a story. Once i get it going though, i can write great. RPs, im about average; not good, not bad, bt i tend to write long posts, usually involving battles (A battle with a Salamence once lasted two posts before i killed it)...

I dunno, but maybe there should be some sort of Co-Co-Leader? lol Nohmans been away often lately, and then im the only one around here, so a Co-Co-Leader, for this type of situation, is a good idea... Anyways, since i'm now making a new Reffing Program, i should (hopefully by the end of it) know most of every Pokemons stats (Or at least a few of them), such as Treeckos stats are now stuck in my head (HP 284, Attack 189, SpAttack 229, etc) so hopefully i will have a better chance in the URPG (Maybe become a Ref, earn some extra cash, and get a few more good Pokemon), so that'll mean a few more points at least for WAR Season 3 (Hopefully the Ref Calculator will be finished by then)... Anyways, as stated back a few pages (I think), don't challenge anyone, or accept chalenges, when you're in Training (Unless its against a Team Member, or a non-WAR battle)... Besides, now is the time to train, since there are no WAR battles allowed right now, so if you have any Pokemon that arent in their final form, either battle and evolve them, or battle, and buy the stones to evolve them...

Maybe give Creative Writing a shot. It doesn't usually doesn't take too long. And with RP, try combining story lines and events from games and movies you might have seen into one. I do that with fan fiction, and people have a tough time trying to find which piece of storyline comes from where.

I'll try to enter as many catagories as I can, competing against Rachel in fanart is going to be a screaming nightmare but it's not impossible. And if it becomes nescessary, I'll whip out my shockwave skills (I'm pretty sure animation would still be considered art). Whatever it takes, we're not going down. We may be the underdog, but we're still a force to be reckoned with.

Trainer has already won both the wars that have ever existed. They already believe they're going to win the third one (hmm, imbalance...?). They may have Rachel, they may have Harry Kim, and they may have Dap, but that doesn't matter. We have US. Don't give them a single free ride for a war point. Make them have to work so hard for their points that it hurts. Make them scream in frustration. Make War Season 3 something they wouldn't want to remember for a nice long time. And if by chance they should win...

My poetry is so damn good it could kill. I really wasn't around that much for the second War season, I only came during the very last stretch. If I managed to get 2 points in the one week I was here, imagine what I can get for an entire war season. Fan fics, CW, Fan Art, whatever... I'll do whatever it takes to win. I'm an extremely competitive person because I really hate losing. My War Fic is already coming along nicely. It only takes me around an hour to whip out a nice looking fake TCG card.

Just saying, I'll be going for URPG and CW. If I am bothered to, I will participate in some others. I don't think we'll have any competition in the URPG other than with Trainer. Almost all of the strong URPG-ers are in Team Trainer. So, I guess I could deal well with it.

I've also learnt to use Oekaki, so I could do some random art with it.

As for becoming a Ref for getting extra cash, i'm not sure i'd be able to take the test due to my lack of battles, so if anyone wants to evolve a Pokemon fast, just let me know, and i'll be ready to battle...

Then theres Team Trainer to think about; they practically think they're invincivle, and that theres no doubt they'll win Season 3, but i say invincibility makes you careless, so they might not even be at their best. Fanart; Trainer might seem to have the advantage now, but remember that Rachel has tons of requests, so she may hardly have time to enter. Creative Writing; I doubt you should have a problem there NP (If i was another writer, for another Team, i'd be scared stiff right now lol), and URPG should hopefully let us rack in a few extra points. And, as long as we can at least stay level with Trainer, or just slightly ahead, WAR Season 3 shouldnt be a problem.

Well, that's as fast as it goes. Already it has something like 150 frames and it already takes quite a lot of space, but I could try making something different that maybe has less frames. I had tried that before but it ended up looking pretty ugly, so that's why there are more.

They don't believe other teams are losing morale but they sure haven't checked the other teams' treads lately, cause it's a disaster. I don't know, but something really needs to be balanced about this, other wise just like you said, all the other teams aren't going to bother and Trainer's going to find themselves competing among themselves.

Guess what? There are practically only 3 war teams competiting in the next war: Nox, Flora, Trainer. Flora is probably gonna be doomed though, with their potential members leaving one by one. We? Trainer are overpowered(Rachel covers art, HKim Esper & Bron covers RP, Aley & Kim covers Fic, the rest mostly covers URPG. I mean, they have practically everything coverered.)

If no one battles Trainer in the URPG during the war, they could never get a single point (HINT HINT HINT TRIPLE HINT TO ANYONE IN FLORA OR TMA WHO'S READING THIS!!!).

I've had to update my War fic so many times because people keep leaving Flora. Thinking of maybe just starting over again, since the idea is good but it's getting all messed up.

I'll try to create some more Nox banners tomorrow night, because while the one I have is good, it's hard to read the carvings. I'm pretty sure there is a way to fix that.

I guess I'll just make a bunch of them, and you can decide which one you want. I'd have to say, credit goes to Solid Snake Severnance, since they've been a big help in creating hot backgrounds. I'll see what I can cook up.

I'm not sure, but I say we should just take over Blackthorn City. I don't know, for just some reason it seems like the right place.

I remember from the last War we were thinking of using Silver Cave, but then again, I'm not 100% sure if that's the best place to put a base. It's really just a cave and nothing more.

But, I think it's really up to DA and Nohman...

Uh, sorry for being offline for a while guys, but i've had 7 exams this week, and another one tomorrow, so i havent had any online time... Anyways, not sure where exactly the base is set, yet i believe it was supposed to be Silver Cave, though Blackthorn does seem like a good choice. Then again, would a Team really think of building their base in the city with the strongest gym, and where all the strongest trainers go? I guess that would mean strong Pokemon pass through the city though, and it would be the best place to recruit strong trainers during the war... Hmm... Rather than just deciding here and now, why not just vote on it?

I hope everyone can agree with my actions, but I've realized that if we really want to win War Season 3, then we need an active leader. And I'd hate to say it but Nohman has been anything but active.

Harry Kim had told me that if Team leaders are inactive, then it's up for the team to decide if they want an inactive leader to still be in charge of the team. Frankly, I have seen in everyone's posts that Nohman has been gone far too long. And as a War leader, while I know I need to keep HKim's plans for War Season 3 strictly secret, all that I can say is Nohman HAS to be active.

The last time Nohman posted was on April 11. It's been a month and four days since he's last posted, and I'm afraid we can't wait any longer.

I had sent him a PM, and this is what it looks like:

I'd hate to do this but you're not leaving us with a whole lot of choice. So far it's been a month since you've last been active. There are people who have joined months ago and already have triple your post count.

Recently, I was appointed as a war leader by HKim. While I can't reveal anything to you about his plans, all that I can say is Nox needs your active leadership BADLY. The danger of Nox losing War Season 3 is critical if your presence in the team is missing. Everyone on the team has been wondering where you've been, and it has only been getting worse. I'm sorry, but if you continue to be inactive, you're leaving us with no choice. We want to win the War, but if you're not going to be there, we're going to have to appoint another leader for Nox.

If you're reading this, then please respond as soon as possible. I'm giving you until May 22 to respond, which is plenty of time. But, if we hear nothing of your presence on that date, I'm afraid we have no other choice but to appoint a new leader.

I'm hoping that in time you will read this and you will commit to be an active leader for Nox. There are still plenty of members on the team who are wanting support and answers. I can't keep telling them to wait longer.

I hope you can understand my views regarding this situation.
